I loved severe and kuglers old show, listened dang near every day for two years, but severe isnt good at much but talking crap about other people. In Frost’s defense here is the good he did. When we played Ohio State and Michigan we had hope to win. He kept those games close when other coaches got blasted. We truly were close. Unfortunately he lost 2 much and in ways you could only makeup in ur dreams. But with Pelini we knew we would beat Illinois but get crushed by Wisconsin. With frost we knew the game would be close but somehow we would lose a close game. So it was interesting

I'm hopeful that is Coach Joseph, if it isn't, I'm hopeful that we can get an experienced B1G/SEC HEAD Coach in here or one that has been a top 10 or consistent top 25 coach. Anything else is a gamble.

I would imagine there is some truth to it but also some stuff that is just BS. Coach Frost was given $15 million to go away now. I wish him luck and am glad he is gone. I'm also very thankful to the boosters that helped pay that buyout....lol

This. Based on all the comments in this thread I was expecting a whole barrage of accusations. Instead, there really was just one: he routinely came to practice late. Severe hinted at other problems, and all the stories people in Lincoln in the know could tell us about, but he did not mention a single other problem. Skirt chaser? Too much time on the golf course? Not recruiting and/or contacting recruits by phone or in person? These are all rumors we have heard but Severe did not mention them.

Dirk was banned by Pelini, as was mentioned. The university holds the leverage, they can ban or better said, they can deny credentials to reporters. The university doesn't want the black eye that their head football coach is out schtupping coeds while is wife is home pregnant, or that he was playing golf, drinking, showing up late to work or losing the top 2024 QB recruit due to too many beverages the night before and morning of a birthday party etc. So someone inside the university will give the reporters a little "off the record" info to which they would have plausible deniability. The reporter will hold the off the record stuff, because this same source is going to be needed in the future. Without the sources the reporters have nothing, especially when you only have 15 minutes one or two days a week to see what is actually going on inside the facility.

Pelini beat Ohio State and Michigan and Wisconsin and Iowa. Frost has never won against any of those programs. Pretty damning evidence right there.
