Great stories but bottom line is winning. If Frost was winning 10 to 13 games a year and winning BCS Bowls and had us as a top 5 team yearly, do you think people would care about the stories? Losing to GA Southern and a bunch of weak Big 10 West teams and never showing any improvement is why Frost is unemployed.
But you’re not going to win 10 at NU approaching the job the way Frost apparently was.
Maybe but that doesn't speak very highly of Trev if he knew the situation and didn't act right away.
you don’t piss on the boosters and TO or you wind up the AD back at Pittsburgh

It'd be nice if one person had just said "eff it, go ahead and fire me" but...people like having jobs.
I get it, I was in the industry for years. But, you can't worry about ruffling feathers, you have a job to do. Sean C is one of the biggest frauds out there.

Awesome!
Knew it wouldn’t be long before Trev and co started dragging Frost

Next best thing to winning

Frosts camp turn to respond
It would probably be best that all parties involved take the high road and just move on.

The damage to Frost's legacy is already done. No reason to keep shoveling dirt.

Sorry, but if your number one goal above all else is to win, then you got to put on your big boy pants and step up to do the right thing. Otherwise you don't belong in the job yourself. That's why you're getting paid the big bucks.

IF that's all true, then one has to ask why didn't Trev fire Frost at the end of last season? He clearly had the chance to do that last year. Wouldn't have been any legit arguments from fans or media after the horrible record over 4 seasons.

Regardless of whether true or not, it was long past the time to move on.
Because, it's most likely not all true.

Yes, it could be a made up story. I don't know. It wouldn't be the first time and there's a lot of incentive for pundits to get attention with exaggerated claims. BUT there is something that caused Frost to fail so spectacularly whatever that was.

At any rate, we do need to move on and concentrate on the next coach.

I think severe is a bit of sensationalist.

Trev had to get his interim head coach in first…

You can't say if he won 9 games a year no one would care, becasue the lack of commitment is exactly why he didn't win 9 games a year. Had he invested into this program the time it takes to have a winning program, he probalby would have had a winning program. If what Severe says is true, and I have no reason to doubt that, I won't shed a tear if he blows his money ala Iverson and is plugging away at some DIII school in five or six years. He literally stole from us all.
Ehhhh, I get what you are saying but let's not act like we don't all "slack off" at our jobs.

I am guessing we have all been late or left early. Lord knows we are all dicking around on this ******* message board during the day. None of us are giving some of our paycheck back.

You mean like that stupid post yesterday by that "new" guy that claimed that Trev never gave Frost a chance?

Dude Arch Manning was never going to play for Nebraska and since committed to Texas.
If arch is so good, he will take his game to USC. They will be perennial top 5, top 3 from here on out with the best WRs and passing game.

My guess is that once here, Frost realized the monumental task of salvaging the program, and decided he would just do what he could (or wanted) and make bank.
It's the risk you take with massive contracts with no incentive clauses. Moos extention of Frost was the part I can't wrap my head around.

I really expected to hear more in that video. Pretty blah.
This. Based on all the comments in this thread I was expecting a whole barrage of accusations. Instead, there really was just one: he routinely came to practice late. Severe hinted at other problems, and all the stories people in Lincoln in the know could tell us about, but he did not mention a single other problem. Skirt chaser? Too much time on the golf course? Not recruiting and/or contacting recruits by phone or in person? These are all rumors we have heard but Severe did not mention them.

Yep. That one is taking on a Cornhusker Hotel-type life of its own.
We can snicker and poke fun, and mock true info. Reality is the hotel thing happened, and I don’t care what Frost did. He didn’t care or take the job seriously. I’ve seen youth coaches (that don’t get paid) work more than he did. Now, back to laughing it up!

Nah, I’ll keep speaking to exactly what I’ve seen. You can fan-boy and feel sorry for him. He is a thief

I have heard some things about Frost personally, like he chases skirts a lot, plays favorites...those types of things. But the things Severe talks about...I've never really heard before. I was wondering how long it would take until we heard some of that real *juicy* inside info...it really is a just a fascinating study in how to achieve the lowest levels of failure.
Nobody should be judging his personal life...girls, booze, etc. That's none of anyone's business

What he should be judged on is wins & losses and he was finally held accountable for it. Should have been a couple yrs. ago but it is what it is.

Kind of a pyramid in my mind. The less you make, the more you can dick around, leave early, show up late. And when you leave you are not at all on the clock.
The more you make? Yeah you're never not on the clock. Etc etc

**** Frost. He wants to put in the effort of a middling high school coach, make the money of a middling high school coach.

He didn’t need to, it isn’t like Frost’s antics are a secret around here. The don’t-give-a-****-about-the-job is what he was focusing on today.

He did say something near the beginning about not making recruiting calls.

If anything Trev has went above and beyond to help Frost's legacy by saying the things he did about frost and his time here and future. Would only tarnish Frost more if he goes full Bo on the university. Although I did love all the memes at the time.

When you click on this one, just remember your butthurt won’t let you accept the truth. Better report me, we can’t have the truth being told around here! We must cover for a lazy, loser coach!

I agree about judging. That is a lot of why it isn’t reported or discussed while he is the coach. Nor should it be then. It gets harder when what he is doing is influencing the Xs and Os.

Frost is an sloppy, undisciplined, lazy manager. You can see it in the lack of preparation of his teams. Lack of scheming game day. Lack of basic skills in players. Sloppiness in execution. Laziness in recruiting. Scott is just sloppy, tip to top. Blaming everyone else but himself. You mimic your coach and that is what his teams play like.

i think it is apparent how he conducted himself off the field pretty clearly impacted the team on the field.
