Why was this never addressed until he was fired? Maybe because it never happened. Easy to make stories up and pile on a guy. Frost may not of won but we don’t need to make stories up and kick a guy when he is down. Shame on severe.

So you’re saying it’s true?

The Cornhusker story is true.
If any of this is true and is substantiated , firing with cause would have voided the buy out. My guess is the 2 party’s , Nebraska & Frost , agreed to walk away at the 7.5 million buyout figure.

This is a great thread. It's got a little of everything all at one time.

Only thing it's missing is Boris the Cockhammer.

And if at the end of the day you aren't putting in the time or effort necessary or expecte of you to succeed at your current job, out you go. I get paid well enough for what I do, and I have the flexibility to leave early some days or knock off to play golf or start the weekend a few hours early now and then. But, I consistently put in plenty of hours throughout the week and year to exceed what is expected of me in my position. Yeah, most of us may get in late now and then, knock off early occasionally, take a short message board break here and there, but none of has a job paying $5MM that everyone knows requires almost 24/7 commitment, particularly at certain times of the year, in order to be successful. P5 head football coach is not a 40, 50 even 80 hour a week job. It takes literally 12 to 18 hour days, 6 to 7 hours a week (particularly July to end of signing period) and there is no reason we shouldn't expect that of those who chose of their own free will to take the kind of money he accepted knowing full well that is what is required to be succesful.
Being a P5 head coach is also ver demanding in terms of organization and attention to detail. Personality and charisma. X&Os. I think those things more than time put in are a bigger predictor of success.

It's one thing for the fans to throw out rumors and you discount them, it quite another when you have sports talk people telling us we've had a problem for years with our HC. It all comes down to maturity and after watching Frost slide down the railing outside Memorial Stadium I started having questions about Frosts maturity.
I hate it when people have fun.

Where is the proof Mr. Severe? Who are the witnesses? Probably here-say. You probably just want to get the advertisers money and make your pound of flesh. Sounds like the National Inquirer...

Great stories but bottom line is winning. If Frost was winning 10 to 13 games a year and winning BCS Bowls and had us as a top 5 team yearly, do you think people would care about the stories? Losing to GA Southern and a bunch of weak Big 10 West teams and never showing any improvement is why Frost is unemployed.
Winning is what got him here.

You're pretty much a ***** media member if you knew these things and didn't report on them.
This. Nothing excuses what frost did or didnt do while he was here, but severe can go ahead and piss off. It doesnt take much of a man to know this stuff, sit on it, and then pile jump after the fact for attention, because this is exactly what this is from severe: attention seeking. Media people have a necessary job to do, but nobody is going to get on a microphone and air Severe’s dirty laundry over the airwaves. I would have a lot more respect for him if he said this while frost was still coach. Now? It doesnt really matter much. And he is also leaving a door open for rumors to circulate that may not be true by being generic in some of his statements.

I much prefer Trev’s approach of what he said in the press conference. “I‘m not going to pile on scott, its over and time to move on”.

Oh it's true, too many former players corroborating. What's more likely? They're making things up for no reason? Or they've been concerned by erratic behavior by a former teammate? Gee, I wonder.

Firing a college coach for being late to practice?
Trying to void his contract?

It'd be nice if one person had just said "eff it, go ahead and fire me" but...people like having jobs.
Yep. By definition, you know who else wasnt doing his job, besides scott frost??

Mik’l Severe! His job is to report these things. He didnt. Screw him, he can get lost too.

Exactly. All this big talk now, even if true it’s so passive aggressive or lame - not sure what this after the fact stuff is . Talk the truth when you have it…don’t bring it to me after it doesn’t matter anymore

Here we go with the “I don’t like it, so I need the media to report it” excuses. Like clockwork around here
No, you need to prove it. Maybe trev just sucks at his job. I find it very hard to believe there werent boosters who wanted frost gone, too.

And the Tom excuse? Here we go, like clockwork around here!

WOW, I have said it 100 times, the media and Trev Alberts are as much to blame as Frost. Severe is saying assistants reported this crap to the athletic department and no one wanted to do anything. that is 1000% on Frost, Media and Alberts. If these allegations are true then Alberts should be gone as well. The AD (if he keeps his job) should recind all press credentials and start over. As important as the program is to the people of this state, using state funds asking for support and patience and the media can’t tell/report the truth. Using the excuse that, “you’d be denied access to the program” If you had legit sources the truth would win out. You could get all your necessary information for your Husker reports from your press buddies. You never broke any major stories to begin with. And this is all fireable offenses. What is the difference between setting on a coaches indifference about doing his job and reporting a sexual assault. . Severe knew about this stuff then Benning knew about it. If you ignored these indiscretions what else are you hiding. I had an issue when we hired Raiola rather than an experienced coach from Norte Dame. There was an issue when Frost said we would mix Nebraska power offense with his high speed spread. Of course it’s not the most aggretous offense, but what standards do you shoot for, Penn States or Nebraska.

To bad these other sports radio stations just beat around the bush and give small tidbits they need to give full disclosure
They were threatened from day 1, you think they are gonna risk upsetting the simps in our state and fanbase by going against the “Osborne and Frost are Gods” mindset? Lol. The people claiming this is not true, are the same ones that ***** whenever a media member doesn’t pump nothing but sunshine up their ***.

Severe doesn’t make crap up. He would have never lasted in radio if he did. He’s a good dude who finally isn’t shackled by hosting Big Red Wrap anymore or worrying about losing advertisers

It's funny that Feit acts like he would’ve sounded the alarm if he had this kind of info. He would've kept his mouth closed like everyone else.
Bingo. He’s one of the bigger doofus out there.

Troy Dumas has alluded to what Severe said today a couple times.
