Recruiting? Doesn't the top guy make the final decisions? Maybe he had a better idea than anybody that a recruit truly was not interested.
More is going to come out. Honestly after the Raiola recruiting story hits I think we should be done and move on

Coaching malpractice, plain and simple. We had a radio host that used to like throwing that term around, but he’s too dumb to see what it ACTUALLY looks like
Somehow I have a hard time believing @Iowapoopypants lives in a 7 figure house on a Lake near Ashland.
The trouble with firing Bo the two leaders at Nebraska that did that Dumb (Perlman) and Dumber (Eichorst) had no idea who to go after , and we ended up with Riley.
They knew exactly who they wanted. They offered Bielima and Paul Chryst and both passed on it. Riley their 3rd choice said yes.
I don’t know if these allegations are mostly true, or not. We have all been wondering how we could be so bad under Frost, and this tantalizing info purports to explain the unexplainable.
I would assume the scent of ‘mailing it in’ over a long period would be a giant red flag for any future hiring considerations. If due diligence corroborates the rumors, then I couldn’t imagine him doing any better G5 OC. And maybe not even that.
Of course, the coaching profession is a good old boys network more than any other. All it takes is a buddy in the right spot.

I bet UCF would take him back as head coach. And I bet he would be successful there again.
The UCF position seems to come open every 2-4 years. We will see if they take him back.
I’m not buying this either, Why offer two Wisconsin coaches and then ask the Wisconsin AD who to hire..

I was at the cemetary in Deadwood yesterday checking out Wild Bill's grave and a dude with a UCF shirt stopped by and I asked him if he wanted Frost back...honest to Gawd he said. "Who"? He had literally already forgotten his name. He wasn't joking. His wife elbowed him and told him who I was talking about and then he was embarrassed and laughed it off. My point is.....well I don't have one. I just thought it was pretty funny.
I don’t doubt it. Look who was doing the hiring. The logic of hiring Riley thinking he could be better with our resources wasn’t completely crazy. It sure turned out to be wrong
The bottom line was wins and losses. The other Frost shortcomings would have been overlooked if had won. That said, Severe didn’t make that stuff up. No doubt he got a phone call telling him to cool it. With BRWU I think he might be construed as a state employee which might entail some contractual concerns with statements about the former employee
He said something like...okay I got a little carried away, he wasn't ALWAYS late for practice, but that is not the part you should be concerned about, because he was late for practice sometimes, people texted me about it.

Oh. Then all is ok. Totally normal for a 5 million dollar employee to treat the job like a hobby.
If you guys want a culture, lunch pale workmanlike program he’s your guy. I think he’d get a lot out of the talent Nebraska can pull in. To have ISU consistently good is telling…it simply hasn’t happened in the history of their program.
Personally I think he’s what Nebraska needs to get back on track…he’s probably not flashy enough for the Nebraska power brokers though
