Osborne is a legend, bite your lip!His boss sucked though. Bo was right.

Hugo goin' all poetic!Does crotch rot let you look at it, or have you actually touched it? Do you rub it out and use your frost warning t-shirt to wipe up your mess?
Not entirely surprising… But damn. Can’t fathom how people are still defending this guy.
Correct, nothing those guys did should have any impact on keeping Bo.That's not a good enough reason to keep him around for a program like Nebraska.
This would never happen, but let's say our next coach gets 3 full seasons and wins only 4 total games in that stretch. Should we have kept Frost?
Of course not. The same applies to Bo. Just because Riley & Frost were terrible doesn't mean we should have kept Bo.
You can really see what happened after the Callahan recruits left.Agreed - people spout off things like 9 win seasons without giving any further context - like what was the team's ranking in the polls at the end of the season (which is directly related to who you beat (and how impressively you beat them) and who you lost to (and how badly you lost to them))? Here were Bo's results - as you can see, the pollsters weren't too impressed with 9 win seasons against weak Big 10 competition - and Bo was trending downward:
Big 12:
2008 9-4 (unranked)
2009 10-4 (#14/#14)
2010 10-4 (#20/#19)
Big 10:
2011 9-4 (#24/#24)
2012 10-4 (#25/#23)
2013 9-4 (Unranked/#25)
2014 9-4 (Unranked)
I knew Scott's dad in the day, therefore I never expected him to succeed !Not surprised though. He was treated like the second coming and was never accountable.
Woah. That seems like a low blow there.I knew Scott's dad in the day, therefore I never expected him to succeed !
Somehow I have a hard time believing @Iowapoopypants lives in a 7 figure house on a Lake near Ashland. He isn’t getting divorced. I live close to them. I see him and his family playing outside sometimes. They seem happy.
The trouble with firing Bo the two leaders at Nebraska that did that Dumb (Perlman) and Dumber (Eichorst) had no idea who to go after , and we ended up with Riley.Yes, yes he did. He was also right in firing Bo. Both can be correct.
They knew exactly who they wanted. They offered Bielima and Paul Chryst and both passed on it. Riley their 3rd choice said yes.The trouble with firing Bo the two leaders at Nebraska that did that Dumb (Perlman) and Dumber (Eichorst) had no idea who to go after , and we ended up with Riley.
I don’t believe that for a minute. They knew exactly who they wanted. They offered Bielima and Paul Chryst and both passed on it. Riley their 3rd choice said yes.
Sean Callahan has said exactly this multiple times.I don’t believe that for a minute.
I bet UCF would take him back as head coach. And I bet he would be successful there again.I don’t know if these allegations are mostly true, or not. We have all been wondering how we could be so bad under Frost, and this tantalizing info purports to explain the unexplainable.
I would assume the scent of ‘mailing it in’ over a long period would be a giant red flag for any future hiring considerations. If due diligence corroborates the rumors, then I couldn’t imagine him doing any better G5 OC. And maybe not even that.
Of course, the coaching profession is a good old boys network more than any other. All it takes is a buddy in the right spot.
The UCF position seems to come open every 2-4 years. We will see if they take him back.I bet UCF would take him back as head coach. And I bet he would be successful there again.

I’m not buying this either, Why offer two Wisconsin coaches and then ask the Wisconsin AD who to hire..Sean Callahan has said exactly this multiple times.

Sums things up in the land of Nebraska. They finished #12 and #14. In the same breathe of beating those 2 team (which were really good wins) he lost to a 5-7 Texas team and got very lucky vs a 5-7 Iowa St team.
We knew what Bo was. Nothing bad, but nothing great either. Just very average for a program like Nebraska. Would we want average back now? Absolutely, but if you're going to be average at a program like Nebraska you can't be a jerk, you can't basically dare your boss to fire you & you can't be a jerk about the fan base.
Love deadwoodI was at the cemetary in Deadwood yesterday checking out Wild Bill's grave and a dude with a UCF shirt stopped by and I asked him if he wanted Frost back...honest to Gawd he said. "Who"? He had literally already forgotten his name. He wasn't joking. His wife elbowed him and told him who I was talking about and then he was embarrassed and laughed it off. My point is.....well I don't have one. I just thought it was pretty funny.
Eichorst was a Wisconsin plant and was trying to tank our program.I’m not buying this either, Why offer two Wisconsin coaches and then ask the Wisconsin AD who to hire..
Makes no sense..
I don’t doubt it. Look who was doing the hiring. The logic of hiring Riley thinking he could be better with our resources wasn’t completely crazy. It sure turned out to be wrongI don’t believe that for a minute.
Look at his resume. That’s all he had for a resourceI’m not buying this either, Why offer two Wisconsin coaches and then ask the Wisconsin AD who to hire..

The bottom line was wins and losses. The other Frost shortcomings would have been overlooked if had won. That said, Severe didn’t make that stuff up. No doubt he got a phone call telling him to cool it. With BRWU I think he might be construed as a state employee which might entail some contractual concerns with statements about the former employeeSo, even Severe came out and said that his statement was sort of ********.
Did he ever serve his suspension from the NCAA?Theses stories have been circulating for some time. He ultimately got fired because of the W/L though.
One hour at a time at the beginning of each practiceDid he ever serve his suspension from the NCAA?
What did Severe specifically say to backtrack? So, even Severe came out and said that his statement was sort of ********.
He said something like...okay I got a little carried away, he wasn't ALWAYS late for practice, but that is not the part you should be concerned about, because he was late for practice sometimes, people texted me about it.What did Severe specifically say to backtrack?
Oh. Then all is ok. Totally normal for a 5 million dollar employee to treat the job like a hobby. He said something like...okay I got a little carried away, he wasn't ALWAYS late for practice, but that is not the part you should be concerned about, because he was late for practice sometimes, people texted me about it.
If you guys want a culture, lunch pale workmanlike program he’s your guy. I think he’d get a lot out of the talent Nebraska can pull in. To have ISU consistently good is telling…it simply hasn’t happened in the history of their program. You guys probably know a lot more about him, playing them every year. Is that his personality?
The dude ******* stole 35 Million from us . He is a ******* red neck prick!A couple thoughts I had.....
Frost got dealt a bad deal with the death of his dad and all the Covid bs happening around the same time. Im not sure how mentally tough the guy is or how close he was with his dad, but thats a lot of mental stress on a normal guy. Now, throw that on top of a D1 football coach. I just wonder if he mentally checked out after the first 2 years once he saw how this was not gonna be a walk in the park.
also, if being the coach at NU is a 12-16 hour a day job, when did Frost find time to keep himself in such good shape? Approaching 50 years old, and the guy is more cut and bigger than most the dudes on his team. I get he has some superior genes, but damn. Im over here at 43 years young trying to get my tiddies from a B to an A for years now. Nothing. I think Trevs "find a guy without any hobbies" comment speaks a lot to Frost not putting in the time.
