Schiano has earned the right based on his success as the HC of RU football to make whatever decision is best for him to come back or not, including how he feels about the University president. Greg isn’t gonna come back to fight an uphill battle with school administration when he knows what it will take to rebuild this program, especially against the competition in the B1G.
You are 1000% wrong yet again in blaming everyone except those doing the job today which are failing miserably. You must live a life where you have excuses for everything. Pathetic.
I see you live in a world where anger obscures reality. Here is the reality part. Barchi is the President of Rutgers University. He is in charge. He is the head honcho. When anyone goes to work for an organization, they have a boss to answer to. In a University, it is the President and the BOG. When the President and the BOG are aligned, they get their way.
I said it already, and I will say it again. Academics drives the bus, as it should. Athletics is secondary, but still important.
I blamed nobody in my post, but in your constant need to lash out and punish anyone and everyone, you attack me again.
I agree with the first part of your post. If Schiano can't have it his way, he is perfectly free to pass on choosing to come back to Rutgers. The football coach should not dictate how the President and BOG will run the University, including athletics. Your post is rather vague too. What uphill battle would Greg be fighting? If Greg came back, he would negotiate his salary, his assistant coaching pool salary, and a list of items that he considered must haves to succeed with his plan. As with any other hire, there would be negotiations, and a decision made on one or both sides to proceed based on the terms. Has this been done? Who knows? The post I responded too made it seem like Greg categorically rejected the idea of coming back to Rutgers while Barchi is President. Doing that without testing the waters or negotiating terms seems preemptively stubborn and a bit foolish.
Have a nice Sunday, my friend. Make note that I did not retaliate with any insults or name-calling. You should try that some time, my angry friend. Peace and love.
