CC > Paige

Deal with it UConn fan. Read better. 0-1
I didn't say either player was better.

But I tend to agree with the polled GM's, that chose Paige as the player they'd pick to start a franchise with. Just a much more efficient and sustainable game. And that’s not even to mention the huge gap, defensively.

Paige was always better. She was the face of women's college hoops before she got hurt. CC ran with that opportunity and did great things, no doubt. Credit to her. But Paige didn't go anywhere.

And I'm a Hawkeye fan, btw

Runouts should never be available in professional basketball. And guess what, they aren't.

Don't even see them in the men's college game.

There are a couple reasons CC was able to find those opportunities at Iowa, that essentially amount to bad defense.

Runouts are not something that should be viewed as a viable strategy
‘Never’
Using an absolute. Always a good strategy.

Had to go all the way back to the start of the most recent game to find one.

That's why I said, "should never". Read better.

Because other than a very rare pinball transition opportunity off of a turnover, those runouts should never happen.

Show me a runout basket, and I'll show you terrible defense

Sounds to me like you're saying that Paige is better............that's too bad.

Paige was always better.
"I didn't say either player was better."

Read better........CC > Paige. Deal with it. You'll find a way. 🙂

She was the face of women's college hoops before she got hurt.
And the American public realized their mistake and quickly pivoted to the correct choice..........
CC ran with that opportunity and did great things, no doubt. Credit to her. But Paige didn't go anywhere.
Sure she did. And Paige didn't do anything again until after CC graduated.

And I'm a Hawkeye fan, btw
It doesn't matter how many times you say this after I troll you by saying you're not an Iowa fan. No one will buy that you're an Iowa fan. Again, I'm sure you'll come to terms with that someday and drop the act. 😃

0-2. Run the ball.

No, I still haven't said Paige is better. Read better.

It sounds to me as if the GM's might disagree with the American public. And the American public is not paid to make expert basketball decisions.

Paige didn't do anything until after CC graduated? Like what? Win a championship? Neither did CC.

No one will buy that I'm an Iowa fan? 🤣🤣🤣. That's why they usually refer to me as a homer, right? I'm not sure where I've said anything here that would have to do with being an Iowa fan or not. You and I might not get along very well in person, tough guy. I don't appreciate being called things that I'm not. Nor do I appreciate being told that I'm acting.

Yes, run the ball. You got something right

Time will tell who is better in the WNBA but who had better stats in college isn’t a viable arguement.

Clark needs to play better defense, period.

Shooting comes and goes, defense doesn’t.

Millions are Clark fans. Few are WNBA fans or care about any team. If Clark starts to regress the league is going to have a serious revenue problem quickly.

Coaches who were one game away from the Finals in their first year don't tend to be fired 8 games into their second year.
Sandy Brondello led NY to their first championship in franchise history and then they fired her a year later because they lost in the first round.

So she was fired after they lost in the playoffs and not 8 games into the system?

Thank you for proving my point.

I have been practicing my reading since it seems to be your go to comment when you are blathering.
So I have learned that if I continued reading I got the rest of your comment

‘And guess what, they aren't.’
You must have missed that part, guessing it was on purpose.

Your direction has served me well.

‘Paige was always better.’

I am still working on my reading better. Can you translate the above statement to help me along in my development.

My point is that job security in pro sports is virtually nonexistent. Deep playoff runs don’t necessarily buy you much grace.

I volunteer to help. The sentence "Paige was always better" means "I never said Paige was better." I hope this clears it up.

White’s fourth quarter personnel decisions were almost as mystifying as the first quarter. When asked about pulling three starters just 3 1/2 minutes into the game, she pointed out that Boston is still on a minutes restriction due to her leg injury.

Okay, fair enough. So why then was Boston still hobbling around on a gimpy leg with 6 minutes left in a 20-point blowout? Boston is supposedly on a minutes restriction and yet Kelsey was the only player to get more minutes than her.

In season firings are also virtually nonexistent in basketball and there's very little precedent for it happening to a coach who overachieved the year prior.

Unless things go off the rails and the Fever are on the verge of missing the playoffs I don't think there's going to be a change.
