St Peter’s is irrelevant.it’s not bad for us at all. If we’re afraid of St Peter’s..we don’t belong in the big ten
Halloway to SHU is not.

It was 1985 and still considered very rare. I wonder if that has happened with any other conference? Keith Lee and Andre Turner at Memphis State were the outliers that year. The days?
I remember that happening once in the 80s. Did it happen more than that?
St Peter’s is irrelevant.
Halloway to SHU is not.
You Ever been to New Brunswick, NJ or Piscataway, NJ?I don’t get it. I’ve been there. I did a job with my buddy when I was out of work during CoVID and it was literally right outside the campus. Nothing special and zero academic standards for sure based on the student body that we saw coming in and out lol. How the F do they recruit outside of ‘graded don’t matter.” The SEC already does that.
False, this run has brought attention to Halloway. Players are going to want to play for him and coach’s are going to want to deal with him.holloway was going to SHU whether they lost in the rd of 64 or win the championship. This run is meaningless to us
and we really don’t recruit the same kids…maybe once in a while but not much.
I would like to see this responseWhat does “…zero academic standards for sure based on the student body we saw coming in and out…” mean exactly?
Yes.Wow people are just miserable. St. Peter’s is writing the greatest NCAA tournament Cinderella story in history and the OP has to crap on their campus?! Really?!
Really bad look OP.
Plus is Kentucky worried about Louisville?holloway was going to SHU whether they lost in the rd of 64 or win the championship. This run is meaningless to us

It's Holloway. There's one A in his name. There are multiple threads and news articles properly spelling his name.False, this run has brought attention to Halloway. Players are going to want to play for him and coach’s are going to want to deal with him.
His quote talking about Jersey and NYC kids is going to carry so much weight.
Watch what he does recruiting in this area and then in a couple years people can cry about us having to deal with it on the court.

We have a coach that builds up low ranked recruits. We are fineFalse, this run has brought attention to Halloway. Players are going to want to play for him and coach’s are going to want to deal with him.

And stop being such a wilting flower. Some of you people are really insufferable worrywarts.
Just spell his name right, if you are such a fanboy.Boo hoo.
Just don’t make a peep about it in a couple years.
Lol I didn’t know who the guy was before this year.Just spell his name right, if you are such a fanboy.
Yes, 1985 that's what I recall. St. John's, Georgetown and Villanova. It was 1985 and still considered very rare. I wonder if that has happened with any other conference? Keith Lee and Andre Turner at Memphis State were the outliers that year.
ThisWhat in the actual f is this thread? How any basketball fan can't be enjoying their run is insane.
/threadHow about this, you miserable bunch...just be happy for a bunch of kids on a dream ride. It will have almost no effect on your beloved Knights.

It has . We are in the BIG with loads of $$ and just extended one of our greatest coaches of all time .False, this run has brought attention to Halloway. Players are going to want to play for him and coach’s are going to want to deal with him.

I read yesterday that SPC’s attendance this season was 960. That’s for the entire season. Ever been to the Yanitelli Center? It’s not much. With the admin St Peters have over there, I wouldn’t be surprised if they go 5-27 next year. Unfortunately they’re not built like FGCU, George Mason, Loyola Chicago, Loyola Marymount, etc
That’s probably per game since I went to a couple of their games and saw others on ESPN+. I could honestly say that the crowd was so spread out that it wouldn’t fill up one side of the gym. Since a quarter of their 3200 capacity is 800, I can see that being the attendance for the night. Maybe they would get more if they didn’t charged $20 a general admission ticket.I read yesterday that SPC’s attendance this season was 960. That’s for the entire season. Hope they win today against UNC. That will be sweet.
Check the home attendance figures in the lower right section for each game at Run Baby Run Arena, the Peacocks home court. Most MAAC home games draw 400-500 fans each. It’s literally a family and friends crowd at home games. That’s probably per game since I went to a couple of their games and saw others on ESPN+. Just couldn’t believe that this was a D1 program. STILL can’t believe that today as they played/ing teams with 22 K arenas last couple of weeks. I just hope that they will take advantage of the last couple of weeks for future use. I seriously doubt that will happen though.
Free publicity. Their enrollment will pop big time. They’ll. Attract better students. I don’t know how much it will be worth but it will be a lot.
I worked in Jersey City for a company that hired kids right out of St Pete’s. Must’ve met a couple dozen of them, from all races. Not a single brain among them. We used to joke about having to slow things down for them. What does “…zero academic standards for sure based on the student body we saw coming in and out…” mean exactly?
Maybe my guestimation was too high by a hundreds or two since I can’t count that high. But it probably was 400. Still proves that some schools has no business being in D1 in Football or baseball, esp when you have the worst facilities in D1, bar none. Which is a shame that admin will probably NOT put the money/ publicity back into the facilities or programs.Check the home attendance figures in the lower right section for each game at Run Baby Run Arena, the Peacocks home court. All the more amazing considering what they have accomplished this season.

Blame the supply chain…It’s hard to get a SPU T-shirt. All sold out it seems other than the unlicensed knockoffs
Along with not that much merch made for the school to begin withBlame the supply chain…
So they hire stupid people and they hired you? Must be a Great company!!I worked in Jersey City for a company that hired kids right out of St Pete’s. Must’ve met a couple dozen of them, from all races. Not a single brain among them. We used to joke about having to slow things down for them.

I thought Rider was 499Granted, St. Peter's currently may not have the academic standards that some of the other schools in New Jersey have (based on average SAT), but the OP's comment is unfair and is obviously an unwarranted assumption.

You may or may not be correct, but all I can see in your link are SAT score ranges for the middle 50% of high school students admitted to the different RU schools for Fall 2021.Prep scholar isn't accurate look at the admissions profile. Average SAT at new Brunswick is higher than 1300.

Are these admitted or enrolled numbers? You may or may not be correct, but all I can see in your link are SAT score ranges for the middle 50% of high school students admitted to the different RU schools for Fall 2021.
I'm pretty tired today so if I'm not correct please help me out... But can we actually determine the average SAT score for Rutgers New Brunswick from the data in your link? We don't know the number of students included in each of the individual RU schools listed or whether the scores in each range skew toward the upper or lower number, and we don't know the scores for other students admitted at times other than Fall of 2021.
Another source in the link below states a 1295 average SAT for Rutgers NB, and US News and World Report's rankings state that half the applicants admitted to Rutgers New Brunswick have an SAT score between 1180 and 1410, making the midpoint in that range also 1295... Obviously the average SAT score that any source lists for a school will depend on exactly which data is used to determine the score, so possible variances are expected. If the site uses the same formula for determining the average SAT for every school though, then I think the comparison of schools is at least somewhat valid. Regardless, whether 1295, 1300, or a slightly higher number is most accurate as RU's average SAT score, RU looks pretty good academically.
