I don’t get it. I’ve been there. I did a job with my buddy when I was out of work during CoVID and it was literally right outside the campus. Nothing special and zero academic standards for sure based on the student body that we saw coming in and out lol. How the F do they recruit outside of ‘graded don’t matter.” The SEC already does that.

It's not hard to out recruit Rutgers.

They just made at least 100 million $ for their university with that win.

Go circle jerk to Pike and celebrate an exit before the first round. Shut up.

It's not lightning they are outplaying everyone and taking them out of their games.
Were they this good last year? Were they this good all this season? Will they be this good next year? I doubt it. But the only thing that matters is they are playing great right now. My point was they did not necessarily out recruit anyone but got a collection of guys that clicked at the right time.

What a miserable post.

This looks like something posted on CE with pride.

They had more wins than us right. You play the year to get to these 3 weeks. The B1G has laid an egg for what 22 yrs. 9 teams the odds are in your favor for at least 2 teams getting to elite 8. I guess people forget the days where the big east would have 3 out of 4 in final 4

I was wrong I said all 9 teams would be out after 2nd round. My only 2cteams I thought could m as ke a run were Iowa & IN they play more uptempo

The Big East did that once and no other conference has ever done that. It was a one year fluke not an regular occurance.

If most of the country isn't rooting for SP at this point the way things are in the world today (see Ukraine vs Russia), IDK, and I'm not a very political person, but how do you not keep hoping they keep it going?

It's the year of the underdog! 😊🤪
Because if their coach goes to Seton Hall he will have a huge chip in his back pocket to recruit whoever he wants. A good Seton Hall is not necessarily good for the one school I care about, Rutgers.

Can’t tell a book by it cove, I went to school with a kid that went to Harvard but dress like a bum. Just be happy for the Peacocks, their student body, the players and the coach. Let’s go Peacocks, show them what a NJ and NY attitude is all about.

So you can tell an individual's academic standard by the way they look?

Amazing that we took the worst P5 team in the nation for 3 decades to 3 consecutive tournaments and all we got out of it was Cliff. Our recruiting is actually worse now than before we made our first tourney.

Everyone? Murray State is nothing to get excited about.
Good on them for Kentucky and Purdue. But everyone? Does that include the MAAC teams they lost to during the regular season?
Would they be in this position had Iona not lost to Rider in the MAAC tourney? Likely not.

Do our fans wetting their pants over SPU remember when RU beat 4 ranked teams in a row? Of course they don't

Woulda, shoulda, coulda. They beat the teams they’re supposed to at the right time. That’s all that matters.

I guess St Peters isn’t Jersey enough for some of you because it’s Jersey City. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Not a fair take. "They beat everyone" in the post I responded to is a totally overboard reaction.
Not taking away from them that they got hot in the NCAA tourney. They won 3 games in a row. Good on them. But that is not quite beating everyone, is it?
Their conference tourney was a walk in the park against joke competition.
