I wanted to be wrong about OSU game(6-0, Geo missed game 2-4), but that game wrecked the chemistry for the rest of 2020-21, I think Myles no longer wanted to play in the B1G and the B1G refs, and there was a clear divide between Mathis/Young vs RHJ/Geo. to go up 16(48-32, Myles w/4) in the 2nd half, Myles 5 fouls, JY hurt, and lose by 12(68-80) the way they did. RU did come back and beat Purdue(7-1) w/out RHJ, 7-9 reg season. 1-1 B1G, 1-1 MM. Look how the offseason played out, one side left and the other came back.
They won the games they needed to but it was a struggle to finish and lost games they wouldn't have in 19-20. After Purdue, they won 2x 13th Minn, 2x 12th NW, 2x 10th Indiana, and W 9th MSU, L to 14th @Nebraska, L to 11th @PSU and Home L to 8th Md. I'm glad they official broke the drought but they only made it based on those first 7 wins(7-1), and chemistry was hanging on a thread after OSU, and severed after the close home loss to Iowa. 2021-22 is a new year new team, and all good as far as we know.
