The comparison only fails to people who don't correctly view the damage Riley did.Mark Stoops took Kentucky to a bowl game in a harder conference within 4 seasons. Your comparison failed. And his recruiting only kept getting better, not worse.

Blaming current results on a previous staff is nothing but loser and excuse-making talk for a person failing to produce the results to remain employed in a results-driven profession. The comparison only fails to people who don't correctly view the damage Riley did.
Your inability to recognize improvement and the work that had to get done to get to this position now says a lot.Blaming current results on a previous staff is nothing but loser and excuse-making talk for a person failing to produce the results to remain employed in a results-driven profession.
Improvement only matters if it changes in the wins and loss column. Fordham, Buffalo and a terrible Northwestern team are his only wins. Not a single winning record against the Big Ten West after this season is completed.Your inability to recognize improvement and the work that had to get done to get to this position now says a lot.
Another idiotic post.Improvement only matters if it changes in the wins and loss column. Fordham, Buffalo and a terrible Northwestern team are his only wins. Not a single winning record against the Big Ten West after this season is completed.
Scott Frost is simply a failed head coach. Not head coach material. It is what it is.
People like you care more about wanting Frost as the head coach than winning games. Some would call it the Scott Frost Cult.
Whatever improvements you see, should not have taken 4 years and have not produced wins.Another idiotic post.
You suffer from BATTERED WIVES SYNDROME! Look it up....People on this forum want him fired. General fans think he gets more time. In all honesty it doesn’t make sense to fire him. The next coach will not be any better, and it starts a whole new 5 year plan.
Only a simpleton would try to compare Kentucky football to Nebraska's program in a lame attempt to justify Frost's miserable record. That may be true, but you don't go from sucking to instantly being good.
Look at Kentucky.
They sucked for years and it's taken Mark Stoops a long time to build them up. They were recently ranked 11th.
The armchair quarterbacks demanding wins or Scott's head are clueless what its taken to get where we are from the dark days of Riley.
That's false. I've generally found the opposite where the fans I've met in real life are more impatient than people on this board.People on this forum want him fired. General fans think he gets more time. In all honesty it doesn’t make sense to fire him. The next coach will not be any better, and it starts a whole new 5 year plan.
He's goofier than a pet coon. Two weeks ago he thought Frost was the savior. A month ago he had a different poll on who we should hire. LOLAnother idiotic post.
Really good post!I don't see how he is still happy here. If he has anymore losing seasons we are sabotaging any future football career.
He doesn't look happy. He looks like someone who knows his staff relies on him for a paycheck.
If he wants his staff to get their buyouts, he either can't quit, or would have to work a negotiated stepping down. I can't fault him as a person for being loyal...but how many times has being too loyal bit Nebraska coaching staffs in the ***?
I mean, coming to work at noon kind of telegraphs that the desire is no longer there. He was HC at CFU for 2 years. He probably had no idea what the demands were for being a long term coach. He may very well not want to do this anymore and will not do it anymore.
I fully agree with your fine post sir. The only other extremely thing missing imo is our OLine. Oh boy, we have a long, long ways to go.This is a frustrating situation. You see the improvement and the potential, then you watch the mental implosions every week. The defense has turned the corner and is performing. The offense is a train wreck with the current players. He is putting all his stock in the hands of a QB who has not won more than 4 games in a season for various reasons. AM is individually talented but is not a winning QB and probably never will be. If Frost doesn't make a move to improve the offense, he tenure will have a short shelf life.
******** to hire a guy after Riley runs the program into the ground and expect him to build it up perfectly in 4 years.
Frost has made mistakes, but he needs more time.
He didn't get fired for what was happening on the field.LSU did what you are bitching and moaning about and will have no issue making a new hire.
Good luck with that.make him resign, or flat out fire him for cause.. he does not pass go, he does not collect 20 million dollars.
I think meltdown here would be completely worth it.I hope HCSF gets one more year
Not this year. I don't need to be anonymous. **** I'm fine with keeping him at the end of the season and if he announces no staff changes then you fire his ***. He gets one last shot with me at this point to grow the **** up and stop hiding behind words.Talk is cheap, let's see how everyone really feels.
The votes are anonymous.
If/when he is fired and then goes on to succeed somewhere else...are you ready for the migrane inducing posts that will be on this board?I think meltdown here would be completely worth it.
He might need a Saban makeover before any of that can happen.If/when he is fired and then goes on to succeed somewhere else...are you ready for the migrane inducing posts that will be on this board?
I have no doubt you guys can find a better coach than Frost. You could throw a rock randomly and you’ll hit a better coach than Frost. Why can Oklahoma have an elite coach and program but not Nebraska? Fire his *** and move on from something that is clearly not working.
Nobody will hire him as a head coach. Some lower level school might, but nobody that people watch on TV.If/when he is fired and then goes on to succeed somewhere else...are you ready for the migrane inducing posts that will be on this board?
He is working on his fourth consecutive losing season, unable to defeat the likes of Illinois and Minnesota.
If someone had told you this would happen before he was hired, would you have supported his hiring?
Of course not.
It’s time.
Unless it's in writing, it doesn't mean jack.I believe Pederson had a good replacement lined up who agreed with a handshake to coach Nebraska. Then the Dolphins dumped a bag of cash on him and he left Pedy in the lurch.
His offensive design works great with the right talent. His downside is he won't freaking adjust it to fit the players he has. If you think his career is done if he is fired here, I think you're being too emotional.Nobody will hire him as a head coach. Some lower level school might, but nobody that people watch on TV.
I suspect Frost's ego is too big for him to attend the Saban rehab school for fired coaches.
I bet he gets a coordinator gig somewhere and learns from a decent HC. Just a feelingHe might need a Saban makeover before any of that can happen.
I'm sure he will. Shame it doesn't seem like it will work out for him here.I bet he gets a coordinator gig somewhere and learns from a decent HC. Just a feeling
This.I'm sure he will. Shame it doesn't seem like it will work out for him here.
I mean, that was the expectation this year.I have no idea right now if Frost should be fired. His results are abysmal and if he finishes poorly then probably, yes, he should be fired. However, if ends the year by beating Purdue, Wisconsin, and Iowa and makes a bowl game I think he should be retained.
That might be a bridge too far given what we've seen over the last 4 years. However, if ends the year by beating Purdue, Wisconsin, and Iowa and makes a bowl game I think he should be retained.
I agree. It is not looking good. If we can't beat Illinois and Minnesota it is doubtful we can beat anyone remaining on our schedule. But we have also shown "flashes" of being good. Believe it or not I think the key to the rest of our season is not our offense. We know it is an up and down unit that struggles to score in the red zone. and to run the ball consistently with anyone not named Martinez. And that is how it will most likely continue. And so where I sit the key is our defense has to play with their hair on fire and carry the load. The thing that most disappointed and shocked me was Minnesota giving our defense a clinic in the first half. We cannot have that kind of crap. Ohio State will kill us. Purdue is better than most think but it is at home after a week off. If our defense plays well against Purdue then we have a 50/50 shot at winning. If we beat Purdue and therefore still have a shot at six wins I think there might still be some motivational gas in the tank for Wisky and Iowa. But Wisky is at Camp Randall. Ugh. And they have owned us. Probable loss. Iowa? **** who knows? But Frost better get those six wins somehow or his seat will be super hot.I mean, that was the expectation this year.
Wisconsin seems more winnable.
It's just not looking good at all.
It's a real concern it's happened before. But what if this isn’t actually anonymous?? What if Frost finds out I voted no and he comes to my house and punches me in the face?!?!
well your argument is pretty dumb considering last year was a shortened anomaly and this year we have one of the most difficult schedules in all of college football. Clemson would have 3 wins at best with our schedule. Iowa State would maybe have 2.My argument has always been, a 3 win team this year SHOULD get 6 next year. If he can't to a bowl this year. Don't waste the easy year on him. Bring in someone and put them in a position to succeed.
Whatever you say champ. The writing is on the wall and I don't think those that see it are in the minority.well your argument is pretty dumb considering last year was a shortened anomaly and this year we have one of the most difficult schedules in all of college football.
