we're doing this again?

This is remarkable. This kind of stat would suggest Trump should win easily.

in a normal cycle, it definitely would. and may again.

but with all the entities acting in the interest of drawing eyeballs to their content, and the inference of evil people on both sides coming for you and yours, who knows.

we've never had more information at our fingertips than today. and we've never been dumber and more irrational.

No polls are 100% accurate and National polls are pointless but here is what 538 is showing

Biden is far, far behind. Polls are garbage. Words from pundits are garbage.

*There are rallies with nobody going (Biden’s)
*There are actions from Pelosi suggesting internal polling shows Biden losing swing states
*Dems are acting in fear, not confidence
*corona virus is being propagated to keep people scared and inside - when it’s a nothing burger

Yup. But I do think he loses. The power of media and the stupidity of the individual in America. People gonna cut off their nose to spite their face.

People need help becauseGovenoros are spreading business .

The one way Republicans can help is stimulus. They can still complain about what Democrats have done to put in the bill while passing the stimulus. Saying we did it because weknow you need help.

Conservative principles are meaningless and outdated anyway with Covid.

Conservative is a way to live not a political philosophy that can survive in the future.

I find this interesting. So if I live in a state with a Democrat governor and legislature. And all the big cities are run by Democrats. And those people shut down our economy. I'm gonna blame Trump for what my local politicians did. I get why you'd say that. Since the MSM has convinced people that D.C. controls every aspect of their life and only D.C. can save them from themselves.
And you may be right.
But I am betting the American people have been forced to wake up after 8 years of Obama Soetoro Laden, and come to a realization: that voting for people who promise easy solutions if only they give up their freedom and treasure leads to disaster.
We need 51% of the nation to realize there is no such thing as a free lunch. I think we have 51%. We'll know in less than a month if I'm right.

I actually make a point of reading Fox and Breitbart every day, and the one thing I consistently notice is that the quality is significantly lacking. They often write in response to what the NYT or WaPo is investigating, rather than leading their own in depth investigations. Breitbart, for example, takes a couple of comments and passes them off as fact. It's fine for a journalist to quote someone as long as they follow-up by verifying the veracity of the claim, hopefully with context so that the reader can make up his/her own mind. Fox and Breitbart very rarely do that.

Apparently, by your standards, I'm far left, but my views are significantly shaped by my environment. Born and raised in Nebraska, lived my whole life in conservative states. As for media bias, we can go circles on this and never agree. I'm pretty good about picking apart media reports, and the right wing media isn't just different in what it chooses to focus on, it's of a lesser quality. Just look at the Fox webpage. One of its top stories references a WaPo analysis of the debate. It's short, lacks greater detail, and it's poorly written. If you want better sources of deeply reported conservative media, or at least right of center, try the Economist, WSJ or maybe the National Review.
Not only are you morally superior, but intellectually superior as well. I bet you have a sub 4 second 40 time as well.

The “excuse me I’m talking” with head snap and eye roll got old real quick. Can someone explain packing the court means? Is it they add 6-7 Supreme Court justices?
So where does it stop? Dems add a few, next Rep adds a few, next Dem adds more. Does it go to 15, 20, 30, 50?

Regardless of who you think won the debates, I just don't understand anyone that wants to see us move toward socialism, which a large portion of the Democrats and their party are now touting. Its awful. Why would you move to the greatest system in the world to the worst? Do some people make a lot more than me? Sure. But the lowest income earners here fare much better than the middle class in a lot of countries.
Dems-- why do you think socialism will be better for anyone?
Socialism is perceived as the great equalizer, a way to help to help make things fair.

Huskers of the 1990’s = capitalism. Worked hard, we’re tough, wanted to play the best.

Husker in the past decade = socialism. I’ll let you complete the rest...

Covid Don, aka the dude who let China infect himself, aka the hairy Cheeto, aka the president who owns the largest unemployment spike in history, aka the president who is so irresponsible that Mitch won’t even visit, aka the guy who a bunch of guys on this board would line up to drop to their knees to remove the Covid from his old, wrinkled body, may get to 46 again, but he’s got about a 1 in 20 chance at 50%.

In a sane world, one where the media didn't have half the country living in an alternate reality, he would. Hopefully, enough people have escaped the media's tentacles and we see another 4 years of President Trump. He's earned it.

You pray? Yeah, I’m sure you do, kinda like in the same way that Harris is a “person of faith” and would never attack anyone on the basis of their faith? Moronic.

Yes, the gate keeping of prayer and belittling of people’s faith, so classy.

it was a brilliant move by the founding fathers, who knew anyone wanting to pursue a career in the public sector would be of no use to the rest of the country.

thought provoking? try mind-numbing. checks & balances are the greatest thing ever. makes people feel important while occupying them & their feeble minds from getting in the way of any actual innovation.

Completely disagree. A quick review of history will tell you. America is younger than almost all other nations. But look where it is now. The envy of the world. People risk everything to come here and work for their future success. Ask yourself why south america, mexico, and middle east countries have all been established much long but look at them socially and financially. We must have been doing something right all these years.

Why isn’t everyone freaking out about the attempted kidnapping of a sitting Governor? Isn’t this big news?

Do you routinely freak out about the alleged actions of wackjobs? I imagine you're quite busy freaking out.

Trump will likely lose the popular vote by 5% and still win the Electoral college. 459000 white non-college-educated voters in Wisconsin did not vote in 2016. After Kenosha and all the other BS happening in democratic-run cities the last year you can take it to the bank that they are turning out in droves this year.

Biden and Harris have flip-flopped on fracking in Pennsylvania. That's a big issue. It will be critical that Trump wins Pennsylvania and he will. As far as polling in other states goes, it's BS. Mainstream media is the propaganda arm of the DNC. They are under sampling Republican voters. Then they run their stories hoping to convince people that sleepy Joe is ahead. Nobody believes he is up to the task of running this country. Don't get me started on Harris. She is widely hated among her own party

They don’t risk it to sit in city council meetings or run for Congress. They do it for the private sector (American) dream.

Those who can’t have a place in the warehouse (public sector).

Reading your posts, and the comments of a few other choice board members, makes for a fascinating anthropological study. If your past behavior is any indication, I imagine you would have experienced a complete meltdown had those "wackjobs", as you call them, been associated with BLM. It's pretty obvious to the normal functioning human brain, but I'm sure you missed it, so let me explain the mechanics of your hypocrisy. You rant and rave about the alleged malfeasance of a movement that at its core is about calling attention to systemic issues of racism that have plagued this nation for centuries. BLM triggers something inside of you, it makes you irrationally angry. By comparison, we have these "wackjobs" who plotted to kill the democratically elected governor of a state for many of the same reasons you parrot here on the board, including the politics of covid and democratic policies you can't stomach. Without the slightest effort to consider the significance of what should at the very least give you a moment of pause, you seamlessly disassociate from them. It's almost as though you were programmed, or perhaps you're experiencing a psychotic break. I'm not sure, but you are a fascinating breed, dangerously hypocritical, but engrossing.

Wouldn't polls showing Biden is ahead by wide margins create an attitude of "oh I don't need to vote at all for Joe since he is so far up?"
