It's going to be another down year in the ACC. A strong non conference schedule is important for seeding for sure, but IMHO, I would schedule as many tough, non conference games as possible to toughen a young team. Why not take on the top teams in the country? We are Duke! Top recruits come to Duke partly for the national exposure. I think all of us want to see a 30+ win season, but I don't mind losing some early games against tough teams.

The ACC will not be any better too to bottom this season than last.
Louisville and Duke will top the conference then who knows, some a little better and some a little worse.
Weird that there was no Coward or Sarr news this week. Unless Duke is waiting for Coward to declare before announcing Sarr. Assuming we get Sarr. Maybe they already know.

Last I saw Chris . I wouldn’t expect anything on Sarr until Coward announces his intentions. That was from a DBR article .
i would think they know...a Sarr commitment would prob indicate to the league Coward staying in the draft...i would guess it would behoove Coward to delay his intentions to probably garner sometime of guarantee from some team at a particular spot????
Gary Parish released his preaseason top 10. We are 9th. St. John's is 2nd. Pitino did great in the portal.

Bummer Coward is gone, but Sarr is one hell of a consolation prize.
Duke will once again be young, but the talent is top notch. My guess is they start ranked in that 9-12 range.

Sarr is ranked 17th in the class. He is a bit more of an unknown than Coward. Poor free throw shooter. Could be good. Likely one and done but could be a 2 year guy. Is reportedly a good slasher. 6-7 183.
He’s gone in one but he’s coming for development. With a seven foot wing span, I’ll take him.
Sarr mentioned the NBA 3 times in his statement. No mention of national titles or final fours. Or classes. I should stop living in the 1980s.

Whoever wins it...may see Slim at the 2 and Sarr at the 3...definitely interchangeable
Khamenia is also a Top 15 incoming Frosh and talented as well Hammertime. Sarr is going to have to beat him out for the starting spot.
My guess is Foster, Evans, Sarr, Boozer and Brown if he is healthy. Brown was a beast before he got injured. If not Pat.

Yeah I’d imagine Big Pat is going to start but he and Brown will get a 20/20 split at the 5.

Sarr is ranked #17 with On3 and 247 says he will be a five star with a 98 ranking so that would put him in that top 15ish spot too.

Wilkens would be a nice depth piece. But we could probably get a senior depth piece in the portal. More PT at Maryland.
Just a hunch, based on some generably reliable intel: Duke, and he reclasses to play this year.
