I would be surprised if we get another center(for practice and development purposes), and a veteran 6'8 wing.
Duke got a practice center . The one from Rice. They got the PF from the Ivey league and they got Schefield . I’d say the others will simply be walk ons .
#4- Bill Bradley: committed to play at Duke under Bubas, changed his mind a few days before freshman orientation and went to Princeton.
Did we look at Darrion Williams from Texas Tech? He withdrew from the draft a few days ago. Versatile 6’6,” 225# senior forward who avg 15ppg. KU and NCSU are interested. He would bring a physical maturity none of our other wings has. He could free Dame up to play more backcourt and spell CamB at the 4.
Edit: well, dang, he committed to NCSU. Must’ve wanted to stay with a similar color palette for his wardrobe. He’ll be a tough opponent, if we even play them this year at all.

Yeah he committed to NC ST. Wade is throwing money around and they are still in it for Haggert from Memphis . They paid hefty for Williams though.
If we start Foster, Sarr and Evans, that is a good but not very physical backcourt. I'm surprised we didn't add a senior like Sion in the portal. Yes I know we got Coward but we put all our eggs in the Coward/Sarr basket. Sarr is talented but looks a little raw and could be up and down this year. We will be good obviously but how good? The Boozer guard and Harris are solidly built so there is that. Sarr has a very low release on his jumper that he may want to fix. Should be a fun team to watch but my expectations are tempered.

Jack Scott. BIG guard, 6’6,” 210#, senior. Likely a practice player. Really smart get for Jon. Ivies and Rice, Northwestern, Vandy — great places for practice players who will maintain our team GPA.
So Duke is recruiting academic OAD ringers? 
It’s Sarr’s ability to get to the basket that had him so highly sought after and Duke will need that with Evans on the floor. Evan’s shoot becomes more open if you have Boozer and Pat down low and a pure driver to attack the basket .
Yeah, I read Dattier’s post . Definitely has the size . Good for practicing against .
I still wish we could have got Jamie Watkins from FSU. Top 15 transfer portal player scored 20pts or more 4 out of the last 5 games he played. A 6’7 senior would have been perfect to go with Evans and Foster.
Watkins or Coward probably gets us over the hump. Maybe Sarr does but I'm not sure. Foster back is nice but he needs consistency. Proctor was miles ahead of him but he's gone. Foster needs to step up and Brown needs to stay healthy.

I’m worried most about pg, maybe Caleb can take a leap or Cayden really is ready. That’s my biggest concern
I think Dame helps there. Not that he’s the answer at the point, but he’s another skilled ball-handler.
I’m more concerned about strength in the backcourt and on the wings. No Sion. No Kon. Some tall, skinny guys.
If Caleb is no better than last season Cayden will see increased minutes. I’m thinking Cayden goes 15-18 minutes to begin with and it may increase to 24ish by mid season, if Caleb is the same.
I’m not as concerned as some seem about Cayden. He reminds me of two other somewhat big boned PGs Andre Miller and Deron Williams.

I agree- this is my concern too looking at it from afar. Caleb will have to make a major stride from what he was last year to run point on a preseason top 10 team.
I think Cayden will be the starting point before conference play and has a higher ceiling.
If Foster can’t run the point which I have all faith he can . Duke has Cayden and Sarr.
Foster, is going to show a lot of people up . He’s not coming back to have an off year . I think the pressure is off of him now . You have Evans, Sarr, Cayden and even Harris that can play the sg/ combo spots . Foster and Cayden will be a good one two punch at point .

I was mildly surprised Evans came back as he seemed to be in the doghouse at years end. He is set to have a big year though.
Going to Charlotte, East Lansing, Louisville, and South Bend to watch the Blue Devils play in 2025-2026, Absolutely!!!

I’d give Pat some those Sarr points. Not bad besides that.
Maybe Evans two or three more.
Thoughts who it may be? I wouldn't mind Quinn Cook.
Quinn Cook i would hope and he would be very helpful in practice...get essentially another certified practice player...we'll see
