Poppycock. Our judicial system is based on values that some Judeo Christian believers adhere to, sometimes. Those same values are equally adhered to, sometimes, by some believers of most other human religions plus agnostics and atheists.always get a kick out of secular gov't talk when it's clear we are not now nor at the founding. Our entire judicial system is based on Judeo Christian values
Poppycock. Our judicial system is based on values that some Judeo Christian believers adhere to, sometimes. Those same values are equally adhered to, sometimes, by some believers of most other human religions plus agnostics and atheists.
Basically, while religious texts and teachings can paint a nice story when interpreted a certain way, the reality of the human experience has pretty much always been, and probably will always be, far different from that religious ideal, with religious zealots often exemplifying the very worst values known to humanity.
Careful, talk like yours and mine could lead to another Inquisition. The intellectual underpinnings of the Enlightenment, and the readings of the founders, focused on Roman (and, to a lesser extent, Greek) philopsohers which predate Christianity and gave little to no attention to Judeo thought. The concepts underpinning the founding came from these texts and philosophies. The list of founders who were Deist, and definitely not Christian, included a who’s who list such as Washington, Hamilton, Jefferson, Madison and Monroe (among others).
Anyone stating that this country is founded upon Jude’o Christian principles is either ignorant and manipulated by media or spinning.
Our history as a Nation is undeniably founded in Christian-Judeo roots. To simplify and deny this factoid is part of the continued indoctrination of students from the mid 1950’s until what we have witnessed the past 25 years. Your political parties are both made up of a majority of Christian’s and Jews. Keep spewing the BS that religion is the problem in the world . If you like a place that adheres to that way of thinking …I would suggest Russia , China, North Korea , Cuba all wonderful places to start. Are you arguing that we are a Judeo-Christian nation? I could not disagree more with that notion.
The US is the most visible and tangible product of the Enlightenment, which championed man as a rational being capable of using reason to ensure a republic of informed, engaged citizens. The Enlighenment espoused science and research to understand our world, rather than belief in a higher power. Jefferson himself, as well as Madison, called for a form separation of Church and state. Many of the most prominent members of the founding generation were professed deists, not Christian.
So, i think it’s demonstrably wrong to say we are a Judeo-Christian nation. Rather, we are a nation that tolerates the practice of any persons religion, or their right to practice none at all.

Nobody is saying the vaccine/ vaccines are totally ineffective what they are saying and rightfully so is the vaccines are nowhere near what a vaccine is supposed to accomplish. Please don’t tell us about the annual “ flu vaccine”. The claims were premature at best with covid 19 vaccines and though they are saying it “ helps” or prevents serious illness - death the fact that they refuse to release verifiable data regarding all the up to date findings speaks volumes. Going on 3 years soon and already we are being told by (what else ) our trustworthy media that the fall- winter is going to be bad. Really? The masks were proven to be BS and destructive to the young .How many on this board who got vaxed, boosted , got covid and then boosted again? Just tell the TRUTH for once. Nobody is absolutely sure both virologists, doctors and especially elected politicians and school boards.Enjoy your weekend … stay well… live long and prosper and don’t let the door hit you in the ***.
Jesus, whoever he was, is purported to have said some stuff I can agree about. Problem is, looking around, virtually nobody is doing much of that stuff with any kind of regularity.Wait a second, I thought Jeebus was the first one to think murder and stealing wasn’t a good idea![]()
Now that last part is the key point … Jesus died for the imperfections of mankind.Jesus, whoever he was, is purported to have said some stuff I can agree about. Problem is, looking around, virtually nobody is doing much of that stuff with any kind of regularity.
There are lots of good people on the planet, way more than bad people, IMO. But there is absolutely no correlation with any religions. Gotta look at it on an individual basis, one person at a time. Also gotta make huge allowances for human imperfections or else the good to bad person ratio suffers enormously.

That’s the story. But I think Jesus died for the same pointless reason millions of other humans died - because humans can be extremely ****** to each other. And while the rule of law has helped a little, humanity is never very far from regressing right back to being really ****** to each other in great numbers. Now that last part is the key point … Jesus died for the imperfections of mankind.
How the Southern Baptist Convention covered up its widespread sexual abuse scandal : NPRIts called 2022 "because Jesus" - cant separate western civilization from cultural Christianity
There is no escaping the fact that the US is part of Western Civilization, and not a free agent culturally.
Western Civilization is overtly Judaeo-Christian for 100s of years
Jesus didn't write anything down himself and that's a clue
Core Christianity isn't about religious hierarchies and sects
Its more about - Pinocchio
Recall the Island of Pleasure and people turning into donkeys
JC taught everyone is born with an original, fleshy donkey nature that wants to grow at the expense of the spirit.
Thus the saying "Whoever preserves his life will lose it"
In the original Greek the words meant "Whoever preserves his animal self and cravings, will lose his inner human grace and innocence.
The kicker is that people dont have to defeat their lower impulses as much as just admit to them and be sorry - then a new positive source of being alive shows and quiets the silent screams of addiction (lower self needing life) and despair.
People need to change but cant save themselves (the Puritans sort of took that self-flagellation angle).
JC said the core of teaching was "to become like a child again"
A child is born with an innocence and connection to a higher nature that most cultures seek to destroy immediately
A country like the US used to mostly prize a child's innocence and sanctity
Of course while that was happening there were barbarians and molesters but they were mostly on the margins - until now.
Now the "scientific" people are teaching kids perverted stuff at 5 yrs old

He’s a seething cauldron of barely suppressed rage. It seems like he’s intentionally set out to behave the exact opposite of how Jesus said we should act towards one-another. Is there even a single post of his in the thread where he’s not lobbing weak insults at someone?Bible boy getting angry![]()
It is your right to BELIEVE or disbelieve. You were given a FREE WILL at birth. That is also called having faith as HE said,” Not seeing but still believing”. … something which you should read up about HIS message to ALL of us. In this posting no one is advocating for ( us vs. them) . HE would never force you to believe in HIS words. That’s the story. But I think Jesus died for the same pointless reason millions of other humans died - because humans can be extremely ****** to each other. And while the rule of law has helped a little, humanity is never very far from regressing right back to being really ****** to each other in great numbers.
And I’ve never seen any evidence that religion is helping in that regard. It’s just another excuse for humans to resort to the same unevolved us versus them mentality that existed when we lived in caves.
How the Southern Baptist Convention covered up its widespread sexual abuse scandal : NPR
In the most recent development, a damning inquiry found that some 216,000 children in France had been sexually abused by members of the clergy since 1950.
In the US, determined reporting by the Boston Globe newspaper (as captured in the 2015 film Spotlight) exposed widespread abuse and how paedophile priests were moved around by Church leaders instead of being held accountable. It prompted people to come forward across the US and around the world.
A Church-commissioned report in 2004 said more than 4,000 US Roman Catholic priests had faced sexual abuse allegations in the last 50 years, in cases involving more than 10,000 children - mostly boys.

I actually feel bad for him. He needs a hug.

You're unhappy with your scrawny body. You exercise and lift weights but you hate the fact that you can't put on weight or muscle. Women don't find your Ichabod Crane body attractive but they dig the pumpkin head. I've done decades of work with the handicapped and less fortunate. Godspeed friend.
And therein lies the problem. All I know is that guy Jesus is considered by millions upon millions to be the Light of the World
Wasn’t referring to you.If you are referring to me then I accept your scorn and hate. There is too much hate for each other everyday or have you not noticed . In your final moments you will remember HIS charge to all of us. Love each other as you love yourself. Goodnight
I agree, it's a wonderful quote and should be inspirational to other pro-lifers.👨👩
It's a perfectly fine quote. It is his opinion. He is not ordering anyone to do anything. As a matter of fact, it is a beautiful quote. Don't understand how it is not great. At least the guy stands up for what he believes in and doesn't cower in fear like a lot of other people.
You don't see the difference between BORN here and CONCIEVED here? Really?I’m curious to see how the pregnant woman in Texas fares with her argument that her 8 month old fetus now counts as a person and thus should be allowed to use the HOV lane in Texas.
Other questions I read:
Does a fertilized egg, embryo, or fetus really have the same legal rights as you and your neighbors? When does child support begin? What if a woman from a different country is visiting the U.S., has sex, and becomes pregnant? The U.S. recognizes birthright citizenship, so does that mean that a person who is conceived here is a U.S. citizen?
Guessing there is history with these 2.I posted plenty, but you're too fat to do anything but lay there and bark at the moon in between large, sugary drinks.
I do but will the law make the distinction? Try to follow along. SMHYou don't see the difference between BORN here and CONCIEVED here? Really?

Maybe, but he's been making similar sorts of personal attacks on four or five different people in the thread. And it's clear the four or five are clearly just having fun with him. Whereas he's pretty obviously not having any fun at all. Being angry on the internet is like hanging a sign that says "kick me" on one's back.Guessing there is history with these 2.
I think he's actually been a pretty decent guy here over the years and won't condemn him for a brief period of venting. I've been surprised by his behavior in the thread, given his humorous posts in the past. And, as I said above, I don't think it has anything to do with the topic at hand or you or me and anybody here.None. Never interacted with him before, nor will I again. Possible he also posts under another name. Many of these type do so.
Our legal system is based on English Common Law, which came from the Angles and Saxons. Our political systems derived mostly from ancient Greece and other republican experiments since. Our system is really not very Judeo-Christian, though certainly there was influence. This is another historical revision the right has pushed just like saying "the pilgrims founded America." Our legal system has never had to go through a Biblical filter like it has in many other places (Spain, Italy, etc and even those places have legal systems based in Roman law, which predates Christianity).Poppycock. Our judicial system is based on values that some Judeo Christian believers adhere to, sometimes. Those same values are equally adhered to, sometimes, by some believers of most other human religions plus agnostics and atheists.

I agree with everything until the end … how could you possibly know that?He has the right to believe what he believes. I have the right to not have the same belief. But no one has the right to fire him for his belief unless he starts using his beliefs in the wrong way.
Though- good majority of kids he is recruiting most likely have families that belive in women's rights.
Majorly agree here, just as I roll my eyes when a public figure lectures society from a liberal perspective … but the take that he should be fired is literal garbage, lol, this isn’t the Soviet Union.Shut up and coach.
They do, with zero consequences. How about university professors?
