Hang in their buddy. I’ve been going through some **** as well. Not only did I survive the car crash, but on June 23 they took me to the hospital I had a blood clot in my lung as well as pneumonia in the other and had no clue. I’m am prone to blood clots. Unfortunately, it’s something I have to live with. At 16 I had a 90 percent blockage in my pulmonary artery. I lived with it for over a month and the doctors treated me for pneumonia, until a cat scan revealed what it truly was. If that happened today I would be dead. I had to go to California for the life saving surgery in 2005. Just a few years ago the blood thinners failed me and I ended up getting clots in my stomach. I was with in hours of death. I blacked out from the pain. God was with me that day because I had somehow sent my brother a text saying I had to go to the hospital. I don’t remember anything except waking up in icu and my stomach split open. So I have a scar going from my chest all the way down my stomach. Needless to say I won’t be going to any beaches because it bothers me. I have to go in again and have surgery on my hernia from the stomach surgery. I try to stay positive by talking with my blueblood brothers here and cheer up those who need it. The one thing I know for a fact is gone isn’t finished with me and he has a bigger plan in store for me. I’m only 37 and about to be 38. There are so many things I will accomplish but you have to take the good with the bad. You have my thoughts and prayers. Keep the faith my friend.
Hang in there W2B. I’m praying for you. Let me know if there is anything I can do for you.

I know this will be moved or deleted - but damn things are just not going well for me right now. Work, family, friends - everything in a serious funk. I’m tired, I’m working too hard and not getting any return. This is the only place I have to vent. Just getting some out. That’s all. I have to make some life changes quick.

Carry on brothers. Carry on.
I know a decent therapist.

Great story.

I come from a family of very successful businessman / politicians, hell even the ones who didn’t care about that still landed jobs that paid 60K a year with great benefits. For some reason, God wasn’t allowing it with me. I suffered for years, became addicted to drugs, suicide attempt, and just about everyone gave up on me including my parents.

All of a sudden I started feeling a tug in a certain direction. I went with it. Alone.

Once I rejected the chase of money my life started coming together. My family still doesn’t accept it. But money came, somehow. God wants everyone to work his plan. He will provide. I accepted that. It took a long time.

I have a wild story that I now tell to audiences and kids. I rejected my gut instinct for years. Once I started to follow it, hearing God started to become more clear to the point that now it’s almost a loud voice in my head saying “go right not left”. It’s hard to explain.

Keep going when there’s no fuel left to burn. That’s how you come out the other side.
Good stuff.

What many people don't realize is that the Lord wants each of us to have an abundant life. It's just that the scriptural idea of abundance differs from the world's idea. Imagine having a life filled with love, joy, peace, the ability to handle problems without getting overly anxious, the ability to be kind even when others don't deserve it, etc.... No matter what your status in life, if you have those things, life is pretty good.

Like you said, it's in our nature but we fight it because it's almost paradoxical, it doesn't make sense. He gave us a plan. If we follow it, we will have the life we're trying to find in the pleasures of the world.

Sometimes just talking about it with others helps, does for me and I hope it does for you too. This site has helped me cope, thanks to everyone here. God bless
Every man needs another man/brother that cares about him and is open to having routine "back porch" chats. If everyone would form that type relationship with someone, I'd have few if any clients....no problem with that.

You seem like you don't carry all your "cents/ sense" in your pocket. It is refreshing to remember there are still good people. ( I know their are but it is good to reinforce.)
