It is also about being a student.Being an NCAA athlete is a privilege not a right. No one is saying you can't do it they're just saying your eligibility must be over at a certain age
You cannot govern privilege without tyranny. Well, if it's deemed unsafe I guess it can be governed...drugs and murder could be considered a privilege.
Full disclosure on my thoughts. This is 100% a Civil Rights violation because of the age requirement. If they were to remove that, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. But, since like me, my kids will be 19 when they leave my house. It is proven that the older kids in their high school graduating class have more success than the younger kids. The NCAA just stripped that from my household if I want them to have their full eligibility. It would've been stripped from me. This is 100% for Football and Basketball, nothing more. It is a money control lever that will injure others by collateral damage.
IF, and I am not sure how this gets accomplished...IF a class action was filed through the ADA against the NCAA, they would lose.
