Over 70%? More than two or three. Painter, Oates, Calipari, Self, Izzo, Sampson, Hurley, Golden, Hell Mike White is probably close. Kelsey if you include his job befire Louisville. Ryan Odom. Brownell at 66. Not trying to pick apart your post. Thought the question was a good one, and I may have given a couple on the list ( looking at you Coach Cal) too much credit. It's so interesting because if Hubert beats Clemson in the ACC tournament and beats VCU in the NCAA, he still has a job. Just strange that a few games dictate his entire future. I hope he gets a lifetime contract there because he's just an average coach, but he has won 70% of his games.
How many coaches in any of the power 5 conferences have won 70% of their games the past five years...besides Scheyer, of course.
Hubert has a strong overall record, but it’s the NCAAT that will be his undoing.
The dilemma in Chapel Hill at the moment is this: we have a beloved coach who the boosters want gone and are threatening to withhold Nil cash and booster fees until he is gone, and the admin who are looking at their binder of potential replacements and wondering, “ Are any of these guys better than what we have now?” They don’t want to be the Pres and AD who hire the next Matt Doherty.
