I won't be upset if they cut him loose, but unless they have a "savior" already on board, I'd give him one more year. See if he and their GM can do better in the portal with the experience of last year's late start under their belt.

I think that if Wilson doesn't get hurt, they beat VCU, which would certainly give Hubert one more year. I'm not a Hubert apologist because I don't think he's a great coach, but I don't think he should be fired.
It would be funny if the Holes found themselves in a Penn State football situation and it takes them 54 days to find a coach who says yes to them. It's not outside the realm of possibilities.
Looking more and more like Hubert is gone. Crazy to think if they win on Thursday, he's probably safe.
Yeah, I believe that was the final nail in his coffin. I'd expect him to step down before he's fired.
They're getting a good, up-and-coming coach. The problem is their NIL situation is a mess. I'm sure they'll get more with Gerry there.
I hope Doty so he can lose to Duke 2 more times.

It seems that Hubert's radio show tomorrow has been postponed, and Elijah Davis has removed all UNC content from his Instagram. I'd say he's gone.

I'm happy to see this. I've been a Duke fan since 1991 when I was 10, but I went to ASU. Maybe, just maybe, ASU can have some basketball success on a consistent basis. Boggles my mind that it's so hard for ASU to compete in basketball at a high level. I had high hopes for Hurley
Childress made the comment Davis supposed to be this really religious guy but he can't handle defeat. Media guys say he is not approachable most of the time
Hubie may well be a great guy but his pressers don't suggest a nice or humble guy, at least the ones I've seen.

Wonder what's going on at UNC? I would've thought something good or bad would've came out by now.
It's so interesting because if Hubert beats Clemson in the ACC tournament and beats VCU in the NCAA, he still has a job. Just strange that a few games dictate his entire future. I hope he gets a lifetime contract there because he's just an average coach, but he has won 70% of his games.
How many coaches in any of the power 5 conferences have won 70% of their games the past five years...besides Scheyer, of course.

Crazy to think UNC and Kansas could both be open soon. Add to that a Kentucky fan base that wants to chase another coach out of town and you have 3 blue bloods possibly open. I don't think Kentucky will fire Pope now but next season is make or break.
