I tried that show solely because I like Graf but damn it was rough. I couldn’t make it through a whole podcast. The Sources Say Podcast just lost a listener in me.

He isn't pulling any of those guys. The only reason he got two top #5 picks is because there is an overall drop of talent in the program. Playing time is there in bulk. Those two picks also felt Cal would be losing a bunch of players. He's done. Great representative, gets kids that by and large stay out of trouble and go to class. He can't build teams when elite recruits aren't there. I do think he was able to build great teams at Memphis without all the elite recruits, but something changed in Cal.Cal will pull a rabbit out of the hat. Banchero or Kuminga would be better than Haarms.

Of course things changed. He has never been wrong... he was right and things changed. Like clock work. If Dave would be a normal fan like the rest of us, but no... he has to pretend to know when he’s just guessing.Dave you are a good guy who has an opinion just like the rest of us. Things could have changed in the last few hours. It could have been UK earlier today and Haarms changed his mind. Doesn't mean you were wrong if a kid changes his mind.

Farr CalIf Cal misses on yet ANOTHER big man with the need UK has, the immediate playing time available and Haarms’s desire to get to the NBA I just don’t know what to say.
Especially if he loses him to friggin BYU or Texas Tech.
Sucked with the Number 1 recruiting class. Got to do better Cal.Haarms
McDaniels
Blackshear
Dante
We've sucked the last two summers.
On big men he has missed his top targets. That's just a fact.Sucked with the Number 1 recruiting class. Got to do better Cal.
Big deal.On big men he has missed his top targets. That's just a fact.
The sky was falling on here last year when Blackshear decided to go to Florida. How did that work out? UK turned out to be better off with Nick Richards than Blackshear. On big men he has missed his top targets. That's just a fact.
Except we have no Nick to fall back on this go around, but I do agree that it’s not as bad as most thinkThe sky was falling on here last year when Blackshear decided to go to Florida. How did that work out? UK turned out to be better off with Nick Richards than Blackshear.

And there are other options out there. Trust in Cal.Except we have no Nick to fall back on this go around, but I do agree that it’s not as bad as most think

Since there was no tournament it ended up not mattering but Blackshear would have took EJ spot, not Nick’s. And yes, we would have been much better off with KB than EJ.The sky was falling on here last year when Blackshear decided to go to Florida. How did that work out? We are not hoping this guy is nothing he has proved it at the highest level, shagari and woo I love them both but they couldn't hold this boys jock strap !! He is a rim protector and a good mid range shooter as well as rolling to the basket ,also with the team we got coming this guy if he gets us 6/7 rebs and a few blocks is all we will need!!
Hey Nick. Nick Richards. There’s a guy here who wants to talk to you.
And at this point in the process, the real options are only going to come from the reclass category, not the bargain bin grad transfer market.
i hope he's reading this. helpful.I’m sorry but this stinks of a kid being too chicken sh*t to handle the pressure of playing at UK.
If you’re a competitor you don’t choose BYU.
best post yet. this entire thread is hysterical...1st round big man to unplayable soft loser within the course of 20 posts.Haarms has gone from being the missing piece to the title to being lucky to being a towel boy for Kentucky in less than 2 hours
Looks like
96 Cats- 3
Cal- 1
nick went in the first round? i'll be darned.Sure we do. He had an offer to play for a coaching staff that just turned Nick Richards from a project into a first rounder, and that had produced guys like Davis and Towns and Noel and Randle and Cousins and WCS and on and on.
Or he could play for a mid Major that gets on national TV twice in November and hasn’t produced an NBA big since Shawn Bradley.
So you take on the challenge and go for it or you take the easy road, then go play in Belgium.
The thought process is the same as the above average guitar player who gets a shot with a top national act, but decides to stay in Milwaukee. Or the promising scholar who gets invited for a semester try out at Harvard, but decides to stay at Cleveland State.
Some people don’t believe in themselves so they rationalize staying small time.
"So we're good but I still think we need about three more bigs"I love his passion, don't get me wrong. He just gets so carried away
Bingo....Even Evan has been wrong before and Haarms appears to be a hard read so until it comes from the horse’s mouth its not official!Did I miss something? Has Haarms already made his decision known?

Well SOB. That sucks. Maybe Haarms feels like he isn’t good enough to play Kentucky? Always had a fear he would get torched on defense under Cals system. Not athletic enough. He hasn't made it known but it seems all the "insiders" are now leaning BYU as of last night.
Did you fact check this? That doesn't sound right. Our 2010 and 2015 rosters had to be taller across the board. Especially the 15 team.If we land him which I think we will....
We at times could go:
Ware 6’6
Boston 6’7
Brooks 6’7
Jackson 6’9
Haarms 7’3
That would be the tallest lineup in UK history.

Problem is, the refs in the BIG10 don’t call as many chippy fouls as they do in the SEC. There is a stark difference between the two leagues.I doubt he's going to change very much about his style- a guy who is foul prone will keep being foul prone.
I agree that certainly played a big part, but there were plenty of games where he was not in foul trouble (he only averaged 2 fouls/game), where he still played extremely limited minutes.
I did not watch enough of Purdue to know why, but either way, we NEED another big who can play significant minutes at the 5.

When you watch BIG10 games, those teams are allowed to hammer each other, especially in the paint. In the SEC, everything is a foul.
Maybe that will change with the new head of SEC officiating, but I doubt it.
