I'm of the belief that his decion had little to do with the NBA, nor was it necessarily even the pressure of a big programt. I think he did what most recruits do, and make this a spectacle. Kentucky and BYU couldn't be more opposite of each other. There's no reason a recruit should be considering both.. and by that I mean, one of the schools was never a true contender. And that school, in my opinion, was Kentucky, from the start.
You don't go from picking schools like Kentucky or TTU or even Gonzaga.. to then settling on BYU, when you were already at Purdue.
Either that, or Mark Pope and BYU are also handing out benefits.
