Pretty sure the 6 figures I lost both times in divorces put towards gambling would have been a better ROI. Not to mention it would have definitely lasted longer than the marriages did.
My “UK Carl” is my paternal grandfather, Carl “Hoot” Combs. Lettered in football at UK (when that meant something), played for Rupp on the hardcourt, went to WW II and got a Purple Heart for getting shot in Italy, stayed in Italy and ran a gambling ring after the war for a bit, came back to law school at UK and was a graduate assistant coach for a guy named Paul Bryant, started a successful law practice, was the first sportscaster for what was then channel 36, called basketball games at Memorial (I want to say football games at Stoll also) and the Keeneland feature race for a while.Speaking of UK Carls, apparently “FIRST DOWN KENTUCKY!” guy, Carl Nathe, retired. https://uknow.uky.edu/campus-news/behind-blue-ukpr-s-carl-nathe-reflects-iconic-career (edit: Not sure if he quit the PA job, but he retired from UK as a publicist)
Whoever replaces him, it’s going to sound weird in a few weeks.
I wasn't trolling about the Bourbon. That's the most accurate thing posted on here today. "You got the 1910 Toasted Rye Oak Staved Barrel Strength Single Batch Wheated Down Home Up State Granny Brothers?"*Wayne simply cannot be serious with several of his takes today. Can't be. Has to be trolling.
You’ve given us a preview of it each time you post. The Devil is working his magic on GYERO today. Enjoy eternity in hell, losers
Am I the only one who doesn’t really care for Nathe? His signature line of “first downnnnnn Kentucky!” was exciting and all, you know when we finally got past those years of not getting first downs but it’s kind of blah now.
Not good for distributors or myself I would think. Topps didn’t even have a chance to match the offer. The players in all three major sports will get a portion of the ownership from this deal. By the time 2025/2026 hits I’ll be on the beach somewhere.@bradyjames - what do you make of Topps losing the MLB contract?
Chad's mom is clearly the GYERO MVP of the day with her Wayne take.
As the great philosopher Pooja Agnihorti once said, “Not having a contingency plan or never performing risk analysis and mitigation activities is like not having an insurance plan for yourself.”Come on, Bonz. Surely you can find some rich old broad to put you up in her stable for the night.
Hotel room? Lol.
Watts was already not going to be on this upcoming tour due to a recent surgery.- RIP Charlie Watts. Also, too early to ask the Stones to find a real drummer to finish up their upcoming tour?
Net worth $250 mil. Thanks Mick and Co.!Was trying to be respectful of the dead. My point was he was a mediocre drummer, at best. The weak link of a grand ensemble, if you will.
