Didn’t 80 have at a dude’s windshield with a club once? Seems a vague GYERO memory. Apologies if I have mistakenly maligned him if my recall is faulty.

Wasn’t at that party, as I had moved on to the “I’m too cool to care anymore and have outgrown my fraternity” phase by that point, but I remember well hearing about it. As I’m sure you know or at least have heard, here we are almost 20 years later and dude hasn’t changed a bit.

Was at said incident and can confirm it was spring of 97. Haven’t thought about that foolishness in a long time.
You guys sound like awesome stand up people. Definitely the type of friends I want to pay for. Congrats! I’m a purposeful douche on here but you are one in real life. Let’s stick our finger in each other’s buttholes but never talk about it and we’ll be best friends forever.

I’ve seen a lot of funny **** in GYERO over the years, but Josh somehow getting misquoted by rogue as me is pretty far up there.

Edit: I wasn’t commending you for it, rogue. More was laughing because Geese despises me and somehow got quoted as me of all people. Go ahead and take back your like down there.

Could be worse!

Thanks Wynn! I definitely moved to the islands with no wife or kids to act like an adult!

You have the emotional intelligence of a 23 year old. You continually mention that your schtick is just an “act” (i.e., your statement above, “I’m a purposeful douche on here but you are one in real life”), but your long record on here demonstrates otherwise. You are a child.

Speaking of windshields, I once stood in the middle of a street in Lexington, VA and threw an empty keg through the windshield of an suv that was speeding towards me. The suv contained a bunch of pledges who were trying to escape cleaning my ******** house after a grain alcohol 55 gallon trash can pre-game. They then cleaned my house, and I didn’t pay for the windshield.

(This is all allegedly. I certainly don’t have any first hand accounting of the situation.)

Probably not consistent for me to post this after admonishing a poster for childlike behavior, but I guess the difference is that now I’m a comfortable 39 year old who will be waking up at 6 to go about his business, and not the 20 year old described above. But I do enjoy the memories. Who you are now is built upon who you once were.

(upon further sober reflection at 6:25 a.m. - the big takeaway is that no one was injured. That situation breaks wrong, and you’re going to jail and/or bankrupting your poor parents. I was such a dumbf**k when I was young. These are the kinds of things I think about now as a compliance and risk management attorney.)

Still a schtick, just committed.

I met a lot of them at a few parties on Pennsylvania Ct,

After the SAE Cocaine fiasco of 97 or 98, I cant remember, we took over the old SAE party house on Pennsylvania Crt where the bust happened(I assume the same house you're talking about.) If you ever partied at that house from 98-2001, that was me and my crew. Plenty of SAE buddies would always stop by.

Jesus that house was the perfect college house. Huge basement turned into a bar. Backed up to some sorority houses. Easy to pack a couple hundred like sardines in that place while only having 1 bathroom. $20 a head for all you could drink beer and hooch. Had bartenders selling shots and filling beers. 1 party would pay for rent for a few months. Even started selling "The Pit" t shirts for our annual 4 20 & Mardi Gras parties.

Was pretty happy when UK gave us the property across from the The Pit on Pennsylvania Crt to build to new Phi Tau House. During some alumni stuff we've had at the new chapter house, I've already used the Sigma Nu house in our new houses back yard as something to piss on numerous times.

-The parent of the (allegedly) N word slinging frat boy that (allegedly) got his face busted up pretty good is the one pushing the charges in the football thing. I guess she isn't thinking about that once names and stuff come out, there might be some backlash against her stupid *** son for (allegedly) using racist words? At the end of the day, I bet the whole thing is thrown out other than some slaps on the hand.

I had a 4 month run on Penn Ct. back in the day. I just looked at the street view, and it appears it basically doesn't exist. At least the side of the street I was on.

Can't remember the address but it was white, two stories, basement and had a covered porch we would sit on top of and get smashed. Good times.

Pretty much the entire row of houses that were on Penn Crt when we lived there are gone. That area is where all of the new Greek houses are going. If you go back on google maps, you can see the street before everything was knocked down.

Dood and Juanita was okay the first time around. I'm still huge on Cuttin Grass vol 1 though. I'll give D&J.another listen or two before final judgment.

Had some friends that lived on Penn back in college. It was definitely a fun street.

Mild hangover this morning so I decided to treat myself to a breakfast burrito and a coke. Unfortunately McDonald's was not taking orders at the time. Not sure if they were robbed, had a utility issue, or were just short on staff.

Got Chick Fila instead.

Glad to see a judge rule against the governor and basically conflict his buddy Shepard's ruling. Hopefully this forces the state supreme court to actually do their jobs and review the passed legislation.

Sunshine, effin-A.

Le Deauville is never a bad option. Few bourbons, some gazpacho, and a big bowl of mussels. Lordymercy

Waltzed through TNL last night and realized I had no desire to be there right now. Skirted the edge and went to an empty bar instead.

Been soaking up every ounce of football content I can for the last few weeks. Hype train is rollin around here. I'm kinda pissed that the next few days will all be about a frat party fight. I want to hear more about Levis shooting lasers and Paschal, the wrecking ball.

Last day of my 30s Friday 5:
You Ain't Goin Nowhere - The Byrds
New Morning - Bob Dylan
Six Days on the Road - The Flying Burrito Brothers
Don't Cry No Tears - Neil Young
My Baby's Gone - The Louvin Brothers

I remember that SAE. CG is a good dude that I’ve known since 7th grade.

Huber it was not the house you speak of, thankfully that was all before I got to Penn Ct. I had already got in all my trouble at the University Commons and just settled all my court problems when we moved in.

-Kind of reflected on whether or not I care about a campus skirmish between the football team and frat boys, a tale as old as time, and the reality is I really don't. However, if Vito is on campus with a gun then he needs to GTFO. That should be an absolute zero tolerance issue IMO. 1 strike and you're gone.

-Likewise, if some turd called anyone the N word he should have gotten his *** kicked.

-What's also interesting is I used to get consumed with what the UofL fans and media would say whenever something embarrassing happened in Lexington. Now? I truly do not care. I don't think that's just maturity or wisdom, I think they're just so inconsequential now. It's just kind of sad watching them jump all over the story like it's still the good old days. It's really not anymore. It may not stay this way forever, but they just really don't matter.

-So, yea, I got drunk at krazy's house quite a bit in college. Funny.

-Blackened salmon on the egg, braised collards, couscous tonight.

-Week flew by. Come on, September.

-Niece just started at Auburn. Went thru rush. Got the sorority she wanted. Seems like things are good down on the plains. Not where I would have chosen to go amongst her options (SMU), but whatever.

-Turned down going to the 97 Bama game with my Dad to get drunk at my buddy's house in Audubon Park. His parents were out of town, and I just couldn't pass that up. Big time regret of mine. 15 year old jackass.

-I know it's only acceptable to discuss high school basketball, but BIG TIME high school football is back in the Commonwealth tonight. MY Tigers down at historic Nash Stadium in the Boro. Hopefully the smell of grossly overrated BBQ and sight of fine young lassies don't distract our good Catholic sons from the business at hand.

-New Sturgill was for him, not us. Whatever.

-Lass turns 40 in September and has decided she wants a cocktail party in her honor. Fair enough and happy to oblige, but that's a lot of pressure. Need to solicit one or two of her friends to help out and slip into "100 Level Communications Class Group Project" mode.

- Lass and I took CF and CE to Chicago for the first time a few weeks back. Amazing trip, and they still talk about it constantly and ask when we are going back. Did all the touristy stuff since it was the first time, will venture out a bit more next time.

- Lass did one of those basic (that still a thing?) “How it started: How it’s going:” pictures, the one of me and her on our engagement night at the top of the Hancock (where I proposed to her) and the other of all four of us standing in the same spot with the skyline in the background. Pretty surreal to see the two side by side. And also to see how much fatter I’ve gotten, but I digress.

- Highlight of the trip was the Cubs game. CE had fun, but to see CF take Wrigley in for the first time was just one of those magical dad moments. Had amazing seats right behind the Cubs dugout, and he was locked in on Rizzo (he plays 1B himself).

- Unbeknownst to us when we bought the tickets of course, that was literally the last game with what was left of the 2016 WS core. Woke up to the Rizzo trade news the next morning, and the floodgates opened from there. What a weird thing for CF to realize as he gets older, that that was his first time ever being in Wrigley, seeing them together for the last time.

- You know the mask stuff is getting super ridiculous when a 6yo is starting to ask about and point out the inconsistencies. 🙄

- Ate at East End Tap & Table for the first time this week. Got the Asian Bowl. Spicy Chicken Sandwich is supposed to be the star of the show, but that was too much for a quick lunch. It’s massive. Huge fan and will be back to try the sandwich soon.

- As others have already said, band/drumline are in full swing, students are back, first game is in two weeks, and we’re just around the corner from that first Fall morning chill. Insert obligatory, annual “Man, I miss college” statement here.

- Have been promoted to Head Coach of our Fall ball team. Not because I know what I’m doing, but because no one else wanted to do it basically. Eh, well, have most of the crew still together and can bend Former Head Coach Tony’s ear when necessary.

- MKG is still my favorite all-time UK player. Dude was just different/on another level with his attitude and motor. Cool to see that article about him, he’s just all heart and cares so much about people in general. On another note, it hit me when I saw the article: how was it a DECADE ago this year that he and that class first arrived on campus?! 😳

- I’m assuming it was UK related, and fortunately no one woke up, but someone had the brilliant idea to set off a fireworks show right next to our neighborhood last night. At 9:30pm. On a Thursday. In August. And not just a few fireworks, we’re talking an all out, professional, 4th style barrage, lasting 10+ minutes and with a huge finishing rally.

- Down 10 pounds since ramping up the workouts and locking in the nutrition. Still plenty of time and on track to be in “20’s shape” by the 40th in November.

- Enjoy the weekend, gang.

Arlington avenue here. Had my eyes on a gymnast on floor above until I found out both Bogans and Estill were making regular visits. Did get a “what’s up fellas” from bogans when he saw me and my roommate playing human bowling by rolling a computer chair down a hill into trash cans. I think he was intrigued but we couldn’t get him to take a turn.

*Pretty pumped about the season as long as there aren't any restrictions. I haven't been to a game in a few years, but damnit, I have my ticket for the opener. Section 103 Row 3...Let's get it.

*Street party/concert tonight. 50/50 on going as I'm still not drinking anything.
Man, saying that out loud just screams alcoholic. I CAN'T HAVE FUN UNLESS I'M LOADED! Sad but true /nometallica

*Read a report that LA County is reporting 30% of COVID cases (Delta) are from people that are fully vaccinated. That's pretty cool.

*IMO, the coolest a Dad can be to his son is when he makes an amazing diving catch in the pool when tossing a ball around. Doesn't last long, but for those few seconds...glorious.

*Bronco has been built almost 3 weeks with a status of "In production." According to the crazy Romanian, it's apparently in the QC yard because it needed a new soft top. ********. My guess is I'll finally get it when it gets cold and miss out on an entire "top down" season.
