UofLSherriff is an incredible piece of ****. Of course, WDRB is running with the stories of the players being holy terrors at those parties while they turned a blind eye for almost 2 decades of shadiness, corruption, and scandal. Also, whores.

Congrats, @PTI (pti)

My six year old just now: “daddy, why are you still on your laptop and saying bad words.”

Me: “because I have to.”

6 year old: “do you want to?”

Me: “no.”

6 year old: “then why don’t you just not do it?”

Me: “I don’t know. I just have to.”

6 year old: “that’s really stupid, daddy. You should do something else.”

Me: “what else would I do?”

6 year old: “you could always work at a gas station.”

Me: “sold.”

80 Proof, sorry for your loss. He sounds like a great man that did a lot great things.

Just went to the same local convenient store but no weed or cash on the ground. Bought a $5 scratch off and lost. Bought the next one and it had a 10X multiplier and just scratched the part they scan to cash it. Figured it was a loser since the 10X and up multipliers are almost always losers and wasn’t gonna waste time scratching it. Sucker paid $100

Maybe bc I have never lived in Louisville or have family in Louisville but I have never gave 2 f’n cents what Louisville fans or radio says about us. They are little brother (the only good thing Eddie Sutton did for us was establishing this phrase), they know they are little brother, they are pieces of crap…..who gives a flying f*ck?!?! Yes I’m pretty much drunk, only have the mother in law here to help out for 2 more nights.

Jesus Christ, someone else post something. Anything.

The new Sturgill album, as someone posted earlier (80?), seems pretty gratuitous. I grew up on traditional bluegrass, and have an excellent knowledge of it, so I can pretty well sniff out efforts like this that are just made for the maker. Yes, he has an all star bluegrass band around him, but that doesn’t make up for the total lack of authenticity. This is a Nashville pet project.

For that matter, and don’t pitchfork me too badly, but so were both the Cuttin Grass albums. Great traditional bluegrass, yeah. But having any meaning, for what it is? Not so much. Just (really well) repurposed versions of existing songs.

His first four albums, on the other hand, were violently original. Each album stands alone as a masterpiece that has no real comparators. And let me emphasize that Sound and Fury was a rock n roll masterpiece, and maybe his best album, even if he hates it now.

Wish he would get back to that - throwing us for a loop. Remember the first time you heard Metamodern Sounds? That’s what I’m talking about. But hey, I’ll listen to basic *****, pre-intentioned pseudo bluegrass anytime. Better than the alternative.

Had to bear witness to my nieces tell their dad he is so overbearing it makes them want nothing to do with him, and their embarrassed about his child molestation charges of another girl the same age as his youngest daughter.

If I woke up tomorrow and he commits suicide I wouldn’t be shocked. Not a fan of his at all, but as a dad I felt bad for him.

Of course that was also at my house even though we told him not to come over because I wasn’t forcing them to go with him anymore, and I legit thought I’d have to fight him.

On my 3rd glass of a Yellowstone barrel pick. Not bad product out of Limestone Branch Distillery, but it’s a little “different”.

Just catching the last few days, I don't know how dumbshit Rogue quoted me over CSC's post. Weird.

Speaking of Clint, actually big fan of the guy. Don't talk **** about Little Big League, tho. Especially compared to awful ROTY.

Diagnosed with mono yesterday. Yay. Thursday afternoon started having some sharp upper abdominal pain on my left side. Couldn't handle it anymore so I went to urgent treatment and the enlarged spleen must have been the giveaway. Been extremely fatigued lately so it makes even more sense. LSAT was all over my *** for my little catnaps. WELL NOW YOU KNOW WHY, HUN. Hope I'm ready to go by Railbird. Heard there's a ton of variance in regards to recovery. Some in a week or two, some it stays with for several months.. So who knows? Eff this.

Snagged another bottle of Russell's Reserve 13 this week. Turkey had a sneaky gift shop release and had about 150 bottles. Fortunately was on my way to work when Dr Boat texted me so it was *chefskiss*.

38th birthday dinner at Porcini patio a couple weeks ago. Really nice spot. Had been meaning to try it for a while at the rec of some of the Snarkies -- and it definitely lived up to hype.

Since I was laid up in bed yesterday, blew through White Lotus. Thought it sucked. Boring and uncomfortable. The little same piano notes in staccato in terms of the score didn't do it for me. I guess the acting was good or whatever but it wasn't enough for me to enjoy it. Sweeney is dope tho, holy ****.

Any other TV recs while I'm on the mend?

Spent the past week in Austin for business. Super cool town. Reminds me a lot of Louisville. Actually it’s more of a Louisville/Lexington hybrid. But man, it’s crazy hot with crazy humidity. Got attacked by chiggers on a site visit. Be careful how you say that word in 2021. Terrified some teammates back home and felt like I was in a Curb episode.

Food snack down.

Home Slice Pizza - 5/5 - one of the best slices I’ve ever had. NY style. Amazing crust. Nice little flop. Not too much grease. Worth the hype.

P Terry’s - 3.5/5 - solid fast food burger. Felt it could have been a little more cooked. Not as good as In-N-Out. Very good fries. Would frequent this Austin joint, but I’ve had better.

Lucy’s Fried Chicken - 3.5/5 - Chicken fried steak and mashed potatoes were on point - waffles were good - felt some of the sides were lacking - cool casual outdoor vibe. Good pricing. Out of Big Red which was disappointing.

Loro - BBQ/Asian Fusion - 4.5/5 - one of the more unique food experiences I’ve had. We ordered lots of individual plates and shared. Steak bavette was fire. Corn fritters were amazing. Cool outdoor vibe. Clientele was smoke. Highly recommend.

Salt Lick BBQ - 4/5 - amazing outdoor country setting. BBQ pit in the kitchen just dripping in meat. Fast service. The brisket was tender but could’ve been a little warmer. The pork was solid. Ribs were disappointing. Potato salad was on point, but other sides were lacking. Wanted to give this a 3.5, but the ambience bumped it up a half star. Needs more evaluation.

Round Rock Donuts - 4/5 - one of the better glazed donuts I’ve had. Line was around the corner. Hot glazed donuts melt in your mouth. Covered in a orangish type glaze. Worth the hype imo.

Matt’s El Rancho - 4.5/5 - beef tenderloin tacos were great. Queso dip might cause the Beans to faint. Chips were fresh. Margs would put hair on your chest. Let me rethink this. Might bump this to a 5. Everything I want in a Tex Mex joint.
