I do not want Calipari to leave. I want him to get his *** in gear and address the concerns of UK fans with honesty and passion.

I want to hear him say that he's changing his recruiting and roster philosophy to keep a stable nucleus of talented kids here for three or four years while giving the truly transcendent talents a launching pad to NBA success (and not confusing the two). I want him to fire every assistant other than Robic and would be fine if he fired Robic, too. I want to hear him say that the his system was the gold standard of innovation but isn't any more and it is time to start innovating again.

I want him to lose the gut, cut his hair, and stop dressing like an alcoholic divorcee.

I want him to act like he gives a **** about winning KENTUCKY BASKETBALL games and completely cut out all of the nonsense about anything else. It isn't like his MAKE A WISH sales pitch is working to get stars here anyway so shut the **** up about it. Say it in the recruiting visits, not during press conferences.

This feels like the last few Tubby years when most reasonable UK fans wanted Tubby to fix what was obviously broken, not leave.

Maybe no one should have this job for more than ten years before it grinds them to dust. If it has and Calipari just admits that and moves on, I don't know that anyone reasonable would hold it against him.

He HAS to change how he addresses UK fans and how he manages his roster or this is the Titanic hitting an iceberg.

Stoops, by comparison, is fantastic at addressing UK fans honestly and taking accountability is an authentic way, not Calipari's "blame me! these kids aren't robots!" horseshit.

There are Kentucky high school kids moving on to being very productive players in other good programs. That will spell the end of the goodwill across the commonwealth.

When you’re band of misfits from wherever, USA goes 1-season, and those Ky guys are important players for other (moderately - prodigiously) successful programs . . . that’s a wrap for Billy Joe Wildcat AND Basketball Bennie. Those boys are OUT.

Good luck in your future endeavors, John.

And by the way, Roy put on a clinic in that second half. As a BASKETBALL BENNIE, Roy’s teams are actually pretty cool to watch.

As a UK fan, I weep and seethe in rage.

His ****** F’ing team barely beat our shitier F’ing team.

Jesus Christ- he’s running a twin post system in 2020. Most basketball bennies hate that ****.

Can we not use our disgrace to pump up K and Roy.

When the team wins, you can yell like a maniac on the sidelines and suffer little blowback. Even the media portrays it in a charming fashion. "Look at Cal! He is so full of spunk. He is enthusiastic about making his players better and cares so much. Did you know Cauley-Stein used to be a wide receiver?"

When the team has lost 5 times as many games as it has won, players will get fed up with those antics. Cajoling and finger pointing impacts players much harsher when they are in a negative psychological state. Talk to, teach, and trust them.

Cal could learn a lot from Roy about getting his guys post touches in productive spots.

Cal watched Miami and Denver during the bubble and his only minor tweak to our offense has been on occasion trying to run our offense through our 4s and 5s at the elbows. I guess he thinks Sarr and Jackson are Bam and Jokic type playmakers. K son

I honestly think that Cal doesn’t get the criticism and heat from the fanbase is because:

a) Louisville sucks
b) there isn’t an obvious (mercenary) replacement

if these change , so will Cal’s comfort level.

I honestly can’t think of a pro or college coach who’d be a good fit.

Few? Beard? I doubt we’d go down the Donovan road again since he’s punked us out twice before so that’s probably far fetched while Mitch is still around.

It's almost like those Bama kids are coached not to give up. Whew.

Eff it. I vote Saban as Cal's successor. We may not win many games but it won't be for lack of effort.

From an X’s/o’s standpoint, it is criminal what he did to him. It is Roy’s basic offense. You can nuance it however you’d like, but it’s basic Carolina secondary break. Then it’s a free for all for offensive boards which they absolutely owned in the second half because they fouled out our weak bigs. They exploited OUR 4 and 5 all damn game.

You may not like it, but that’s what happened.

Hope you’re enjoying your beautiful baby and youthful dog, You have a lovely young family that will get you through the winter. This team will not, unfortunately.

I think Few is entrenched in his king of the mid major turds and Beard has the stink of Bob Knight on him...

no one is obvious. Donovan or Brad Stevens?

For as athletic as this team is, we get next to nothing in transition. I thought he’d go back to the press that got us back in the game against ND to get some easy buckets but alas. This would have been the perfect team to press to make their shaky guards make plays. But if we press and have one breakdown he would’ve pussed out and pulled out of it.

It’s the same with zone, he could’ve tried that to keep our bigs out of foul trouble and make them make jumpers instead of getting basically whatever they wanted in the post whenever they wanted it.

I see a lot of "Who else could we get? Who's better?" It's true there isn't an obvious candidate with no questions around them, but how is that different from what Cal is at this moment? Is it more likely that he finds the groove again or that we find the right up-and-comer who has a run in his future?

Here's my question. If Cal was doing what he's doing right now at another school and we needed a new coach, would you want him to be a candidate?

The answer is no. You wouldn't.

Donovan left us at the altar twice already after (presumably) his daddy Pitino talked him out of it. I’d love to see Donovan here with Pelphrey on his staff but doubt that would ever materialize for a variety of reasons.

If we were to offer close to what Cal makes, we might be able to pull Stevens or Few. Cal makes 8 million more than Few and 6 million more than Stevens.

He doesn’t get the criticism because if you look at his March results in his decade here it’s a Top 10-15 all-time college basketball run.

Let’s keep it real.

I want Cal. But I want him to wake up and have a renaissance in his overall philosophy towards the sport that gave him and his family the life they are currently experiencing. I don’t have any better ideas than the next person. But I also don’t get paid 9 mil a year to figure it out. I get to be a fan. And as a fan, I’m done. Do something, Cal!

Namely, make it enjoyable to watch your product. I’ll celebrate the hell out of these guys ending generational poverty. But do something for the school that’s paying you handsomely to make these kids dreams come true. Do your part, hero!
