From an X’s/o’s standpoint, it is criminal what he did to him. It is Roy’s basic offense. You can nuance it however you’d like, but it’s basic Carolina secondary break. Then it’s a free for all for offensive boards which they absolutely owned in the second half because they fouled out our weak bigs. They exploited OUR 4 and 5 all damn game.

You may not like it, but that’s what happened.

Hope you’re enjoying your beautiful baby and youthful dog, You have a lovely young family that will get you through the winter. This team will not, unfortunately.

Don’t you be nice and polite to me bro. Tell me to get pumped like you should. Final warning.

-i quit watching at under 8 (knew the cats were done) and played doubles in 45 degree weather. My team won. Glad.

-the benefit of being a ***** bus pioneer is that this isn't a surprise...been over cal for a while. Sucks but doesn't sting...prepared for it if you will.

^that said I'd much rather have been wrong. This is terrible. *and* if by some miracle he turns it around ill be all in...just not optimistic. Hes a stubborn, arrogant old man...and im afraid he'd rather piss in bjw's wheaties than admit he is at fault.

-clay pigeons at the farm in the morning.

I’d loving nothing more than for Cal to admit his mistakes and turn it all around. Unfortunately, that’s a fantasy and has zero chance of happening. He, incorrectly, thinks he’s smarter and better at this than everyone. I’m not sure losing out would change his mind. He’d probably dig in deeper, because that’s just who he seems to be.

As long as he continues to run the program as he does now, he’s done. And he’s shown zero signs of changing. Cut bait. Get him the f*ck out of here.

Cal isn't recreating the wheel. Hell, I think most of us would be content with simply catching up with the game. But he's too fat too stubborn and too far gone. So best to just accept it.

It's fairrrrly obvious this team is mind effed. Those poor kids are so afraid to make a mistake. Our lazy micromanaging psycho isn't coaching -- he's screaming... and I think it's beyond clear they aren't too receptive to it. There's talent there but its nowhere near utilized to their strengths. That falls back on our HOF coach to make it fit. Fit enough, to at least not be 1-5. We're going to break historical records this year, and not in a good way.

He said it himself when he took this job. You can only last so long in a gig anymore before you wrar out your welcome -- well, I think we're here.

UK Basketball is bigger than any one person and I think he's lost sight of that in his sycophantic yes man bubble. I mean, I understand it. Like bbdk, said -- it would be unfortunate if this ended poorly after such a great run.

This sucks.

It’s so scary to see a player laying there like that.
I’m so glad he popped up and seems to be in good spirits.

Alabama is just a freaking machine!

Really trying to wrap my head around going for 2 down 8. I guess it makes sense but it goes against my 47 years of watching football.

I did not understand going for 2 right there, but congratulations on success I guess.

You just take a tie game with one possession out of the rotation and make it either a possible win with one possession or two possessions needed to win? Very weird to me.

Our friends just to the south might have shown us the way out of a lifetime contract.

They are done with Pruitt and don't want to pay him. Conveniently, they found some recruiting violations and are self investigating issues that will give cause.

Look, I’m as fed up with Cal’s schtick as anyone but you lose your last ounce of integrity as a Wildcat Friend if you hope for violations to get Cal bounced. That’s awful. And wouldn’t just resolve itself the next day, ask UL.

Somewhat relatedly my worst day as a fan was repeating the rumor that Piglet knocked up a student. I wasn’t rooting for it, but in hindsight by repeating it I certainly wasn’t helping. That’s a dude with a family who is my school’s football coach....the proper thing would have been to stfu.

At any rate, if UT does that purposefully that is incredibly stupid, period point blank.

OTOH, if Cal is violating rules to get to 1-5, screw him!

That said, I’d NEVER want to hear that we were being investigated, ever! Not that I care about rival fans, but giving them ammunition to have to listen to their BS “told ya so” nonsense would be unnerving.

Also, the idea of “who’d coach us” or “who would be good enough” is one I find amusing. Other than Sutton and BCG we’ve been fine, and I’d expect that to continue regardless of who follows Cal, or when they do.

Serious question - and I really don’t mean this as a knock on the kid - but why do you recruit someone like Ware? He’s basically a space eater in a sport where that has become obsolete.

To develop all around as a basketball player and be very good in years 3-4. Like most programs. Just won't happen here. Youre judging a 3-4 year player as a one and done.

He also getting ready to turn 20 and is older than 5 of the top 10 picks in the NBA Draft.

Lot of fans seem a bit unhappy with just about everything related to the basketball program right now but I dont really know what you all want. This isnt our team or program- it belongs to John and his chidren and the players for 5-6 months at a time before they leave. Lot of you think just because youve devoted 30-40 years to following, spending your money, living and dying with each game, and overall sacrificing a large part of your life- that you have the right to have any emotional ties to this program. Thats just not the case, get a clue.

Very frustrated with Cal - it’s simple things that 3 non yes men assistants should point out

1. If you go scout a kid and his shot looks broke (Boston) don’t recruit him - unless they have elite handles and finish ability Ike Shai
2. We play one possession of zone and it was the worst set up I’ve ever seen - 1-2-2 spread out with gaps everywhere- Boston got abused never see it again
3. Dead ball inbounds plays underneath basket Cal gets abused plays man gets scorched every game and our play is hit the the outside extended arm of a big in corner
4. Why does our offense start 35’ from basket and include a hand off to a non ball handling big?
5. Did we ever feed the post from the wing.
6. Do you know Cal by playing the sagging man defense it allows easy passing Windows to the post
7. You killed momentum again taking a red hot Mintz out in first half but left Clarke & Boston in
8. Have you ever thought man we never get a easy basket maybe we should try to create some havac
9. Maybe Ellen will tell him try a game Coaching like John Wooden-set the F down and shut the F up
10. Clarke is not a point guard

Are you saying we should not recruit the #3 overall recruit in the nation?

I agree Boston has been garbage for the most part, but I can’t help to think most of his struggles are being an elite 18 yr with a lack of strength going against, in most cases so far, older/stronger players.

It has its effect.
