What did Cal tell Fletcher that made him think he was MKG? There's the beginning and the end of our problems. Our coach projects. When he says they don't poop ice cream, it's to make up for the fact that he treats them like he thinks they do.

His ***** *** won't say it to their face anymore, so now he has to send out a guy who didn't play, and won't play this year, to atone for the **** a roster full of new faces did.

Call the bad players out, cut their minutes and start taking more blame for the fact that you actually do roll the ball out there. It's just too bad that Forde wrote his "made your bed" article 6 years too soon.

Don’t think Cal quite realizes where he is with BBN.

Make no mistake, WE have made this program what it is, overall. At least since Rupp got it going

Without the unique & unprecedented rabid fanbase & ridiculous expectations, it’s just another really good program among many others.

He’s about to be in for a very rude awakening

The fan base is sick and effing tired of hearing about lottery picks and draft night too. Cal has completely lost sight of what matters.

As frustrated as I get with the players during the game, at the end of the day they are kids, for the most part. Brooks doing the presser is actually admirable when I set aside my extreme seething rage for a moment.

My contempt for Cal, however, has boiled over completely. He built up a ton of goodwill, but it's vanishing quicker than our postseason chances. There is absolutely no excuse to look this inept. These kids are going to completely tune him out and I don't blame them. Figure it out you overpaid SOB.

Sorry, I'm more jacked about the nature of our program and Cal than I've been about a single solitary game we've had. It's a total **** sandwich. This year has sucked at almost every level and Cal comes strolling in here just to get pegged over and over again.

And the worst part is that I'm a Louisville win and 5-game win streak away from believing we can win it all and that Cal knew what he was doing. I'm a fickle *****. I'm also angry.

- Cal has told us many times what his priority is and it’s not UK basketball. I was late as usual but I believe him now.

- Sorry for that rah rah ******** yesterday. I’m house-ridden and grasping at straws.

- Maybe it had to be this bad to get Cal’s attention. Maybe he doesn’t care.

- You know, I can forgive Clarke. He’s never failed at basketball before. I have a hard time forgiving Sarr’s effort today. Absolutely pathetic.

- Well I’m done with sports for awhile. I’ll give the Louisville game a shot but I can’t be cussing at the TV in front of my daughter.

It’s not just having a **** team either - that happens.

Even unreasonable UK fans can (reluctantly) realize that - but the arrogance, stubbornness, & incessant patronizing, well, even Billy Joe eventually sees through it.

He better wake up before he stains an ugly end to an overall fantastic run. That would be very unfortunate.

You can be a condescending dick to your fanbase when you’re 20-1. Not so much when you’re 1-5.

I have no problem with any of the players. None of them. They all have potential on some level. Their flaws can be coached out of them. We've seen it before. How big of a puss was Darius Miller his first couple years? Being soft can be fixed. How much of a stat-chasing prima donna was Jamal Murray? But he figured it out with coaching. They're supposed to be stupid kids with flaws. That's why we pay a guy 9 million dollars a year to make sure they get coached through it.

Mr. Miyagi said it best. "No such thing as bad student. Only bad sensei." We got a problem with our sensei.

Edit: (Actually, they are b*tches for not coming out and answering questions. That sh*t is weak.)

It’s clear that you can’t build a team like this. No matter how much “talent” you have.
we’ll just throw a team together and they will eventually get it. I’ll just yell a lot and hopefully a few of my guys will get drafted and I’ll run the rest off that would have probably stayed

It’s a process folks

Crazy what?

/Cal

🤮🤮🤮

-This is exactly what it looks like when that philosophy completely backfires in your face. It was bound to happen eventually

If I'm Cal, I'm cutting this roster down to 7 dudes and telling the rest of them we'll either get back at it next year or peace. Mintz, Sarr, Jackson, Boston, Clark, Brooks and Allen would be my rotation.

Ware if my bigs get in foul trouble (you'd think the ref whistles had the moderna vaccine in them today the way the game was called) and that's it.

Let those guys grow, pray it works and try to salvage 2 out of Fletcher, Brooks, Allen for next season.

I was a Cal guy in 2007, wanted him bad. Even rooted for Kansas - of all things - in the 2008 NCAACG, becuase I thought if there were any hope we'd ever get Cal, we'd have a better shot if he didn't win a title at Memphis. So that's where I come from on Cal.

That being said, it's far past obvious that this is not sustainable. He did here what he came to do, and has been said numerous times, he's no longer doing what he's paid to do - I'm not just talking about losing games, I'm talking about his misplaced priorities.

Something keeps popping in my head from when Cal left Memphis and came to UK. I don't know if it was Parrish, some other Memphis sportswriter, or even a sportswriter quoting a Memphis fan / booster, but the quote was something like:

You'll love him for a few years, but by the end of it, you will hate his guts and want him gone.

The thing that struck me was it wasn't emotional, it was just very matter-of-fact, from someone who knew him well.

Didn't think much of it at the time, but for some reason it keeps popping in my head the past couple of years. Not saying I'm there, but I'm starting to see how it could happen . . .

I changed the channel when UNC started to make a run because I'm a superstitious idiot. As soon as I changed back we are down six, Mintz makes a DA play, and when they pan to him you can see Cam Fletcher openly sobbing on the bench being consoled by a manager.

Give me an effing break with these dudes.
