-im old enough to remember when "yacht rock" was called "soft rock"...if you spent any time at the dentist/orthodontist you are well versed.

^like all genres there is great and bad...and alotta stuff in the middle.

-also old enough to realize "being too cool" for certain things is ******* stupid, and robs you of possible joy.

^does this mean I'm gonna eschew/cast aside my OG indie/underground roots? Nope. That said...if you can't enjoy some chill 70's/80's soft rock in an appropriate setting...you're trying too hard.

Paulina Porizkova posting bikini pics all over social media made me turn on the way back machine this weekend. She held the GOAT status to a young 73 for about a year or so before she was replaced by Kathy Ireland. She still looks amazing, though she could eat a hamburger or two.

On a related note, The Cars are a damn good underrated band. Banger after banger. Great for summertime listening.
54 year old Donna D’Errico is getting it done as well(amongst many other 50+ ladies looking great):

- When's the last time we had a wing who was such a pure scorer? It's been a while. Plus, it's always good to have some Philly around. Kids from the Northeast just play with that chip on their shoulder.

- The immersive Van Gogh exhibit in Cincinnati (and other cities) is a nice way to spend an afternoon. Pricey, but it's a unique experience that we really enjoyed. The final room, with ceiling to floor screens displaying moving images of his art, was so relaxing that I easily could have spent a few hours in there.

- Anybody grow up in a house where your parents had one of those eagles over their garage door or front door? I didn't, but my grandparents had one. I just assumed it was a fad for homes built in the 60's/70's, but apparently it was a symbol people used to show that their mortgage had been completely paid.

- Also saw several houses growing up where people just had a giant wagon wheel out in the yard for decorative purposes. Saw one the other day in Lexington. Can't imagine how many there still are in Nicholasville.

- I have never known anyone to intentionally go eat at Sonic. I've eaten at one or two when nothing else was around, but I've never even heard anyone mention eating there. And yet they're everywhere and their ads are everywhere. Just assuming they're some kind of front for a drug operation at this point.

- This is the time of year when the Reds start offering discounted tickets to certain games...4-packs, etc. Wouldn't mind hitting up a night tilt against a legitimate contender. Need to see which game is Painters Cap Night.

Pastor, you vastly underestimate the propensity in Nicholasville to drive under the influence, imo.

-It’s been a while, took a break. Sorry I’m back for some of you 🤷🏼‍♂️.

-Speaking of new jobs, I just got offered and accepted a the job at Lindsey Wilson college as the new sports medicine assistant. Turns out lifting weights actually pays off…besides the fact I’m moving from the Keys to nowhere Kentucky for 1/2 to 1/3 the pay here and have to pay taxes again. Never thought I’d agree to that deal but it opens up a TON of new possibilities and I get to be around my family way more which the most important part for me, we’ll and the opportunity of joint a D1 staff in a few years.

Ten years on an island was a damn good run that a very small population could ever say they did so that’s pretty cool.

-Also got a sleeve done on my right arm ive wanted forever but finally found the right person. Looking forward to GYERO thinking I’m white trash. But when you know you’re only going to work in a gym, boat or a bar the rest of your life, who cares? Hopefully the Schems will still let me pop by for a game or two if I’m actually given a day off this fall.

-Also LETS GO BLUE RAIDERS! Been in the NAIA semi finals the last three years in football and won it all in 2020 so they’re no schlubs.

-My gym down here won the Bubbas Award for best gym for the 4th straight year, we kill it, saddest part about leaving is that community that gym provides for everyone.

-Couple things to address while I was gone.
-Did Leagle say he wouldn’t go to his nephews just got born party because they were UNC fans, or was that someone else? Whoever said it, you’re a loser lol. Grow up.

-Hyman, who I think is fantastic, blew a gasket for a couple weeks and that was high quality lol material.

-Anyone that goes off on @MattJonesKSR is a loser too. We get good content from him so shut up dorks.

-weddings at $6500 venues? Idiots. No one cares what you spend. Swear to god I’d have it in the backyard with friends and family, catered with a band for less than that. No one has 300 people that REALLY give a **** about your wedding.

I can PROMISE you I wouldn’t marry a gal that wants to go in debt or pay enough money for a stupid wedding for one day when we could buy a decent chunk of property with the same.

-All you delta 8 guys, 🤦🏼‍♂️. You’re Kentucky stupid laws are showing. If you could easily get it at 14 I promise you can get the real deal at 40+, or
Make your own but congrats on your knockoff weed!

-Bourbon in the summer…wtf is wrong with you all and my friends that still do? You don’t HAVE to drink bourbon because you’re from KY. It’s gross when it’s hot out and that’s okay. Switch it up. Also, stop paying tons of money for top shelf bourbon, it’s silly but we all have things we enjoy so I guess spend your money how you want.

-Those are the rants, just saying things and I hope you all are having a wonderful evening. See you all soon. 😘

Haha yeah they said it’s a year or two job as a stepping stone for most and they’d use their connections to get me a bigger job/D1 like they do for most if I put the time in.

And yes old people, I did get a sleeve and no one cares anymore. It’s all skulls and snakes with a Metallica symbol as the main feature.

If you decide you want to go to a gym off campus one of my friends from back home owns the only one in town. I can let him know to be on the lookout for you.

It would be great to check it out either way and would recommend it to anyone that wanted to train elsewhere. I’m sure I’ll mostly workout at the campus gym, I have no idea, but would assume I’ll have to get there at 5a to get a lift in before I train the teams.
