* Not sure there is a more free moment for me, than the bartender opening and handing you a beer at the airport while waiting for your flight to (insert your destination of choice).

* When I am the one that makes decisions for Earth, the toilet paper roll will ALWAYS be to the left or in front of you. Is this a right-hand bias?

* Do people still not know that "K" is not an acceptable reply?

* Grippo's plain chip is the Fredo Corleone of the that company. A huge drop off from their other products.

* Thomas Jefferson got a slap-in-the-face with dollar bills. The $2 one? We have Andrew Jackson sitting here on the $20? Get outta here with that.

* The use of the Periodic Table in their credits just makes Breaking Bad even more brilliant to me.

* Dutch was the biggest bad *** in Cobra Kai. I'd almost say Ali was cheating on Johnny Lawrence with him. But that's just my opinion.

* So, Yacht Rock Mount Rushmore:

- Christopher Cross
- Kenny Loggins
- Michael McDonald
- Steely Dan or Toto (I can't decide)

* Don't be the person that slams on their brakes 25-feet when the light turns yellow.

* Found a box of mid-90's Playboys. Thanks to mom for getting me a subscription for my 18th birthday. Not a razor was had by women back then.

* Going to swallow this "Coach Cal is back and I think we ravage NCAA Basketball for long as the eyes can see" pill.

* Sunday Funday and horses. By the way, Eff off, Jack Christopher.

Sunday chores done, time to enjoy some cold ones and the heat. Burgers and dogs for dinner and back to the grind tomorrow.

No shoes, no shirt, no problems!

Ambrosia's Life Beyond LA is criminally underrated.

Or maybe it just makes me think of my dad so I like it more. "Apothecary" is 🔥, without a doubt though.
Orleans’ Titty Jewelery was a banger back in ‘81.

Michael McD always sounds like he's yawning when he sings

My - NOW FAVORITE- daughter bought a tiny tin of Bob Ross Breath Mints & THEYRE TINY FREAKING TREES!!!!

Planning to go see the Pikeville / Corbin football game when they match up in their opener - brother lives in Pikeville and both teams are tough

The 2022 NDAA includes provisions that require females to register for selective service- also mandates nation wide mobility exercises for all services and a "a simulated" draft in 2023

Ref; SEC. 513. MODERNIZATION OF THE SELECTIVE SERVICE
NDAA

Lots of other interesting stuff in there but ill spare you - its a 3000+ page doc and i scanned almost the whole thing and captured notes (partially personal interest partially professional. affiliation)

Everyone PLEASE wish Mr B-Rudd a happy birthday !!!

They were right about how dramatic the framing of a new house is. Pretty awesome seeing your vision start coming to life and just seeing the whole home building process.

Waterpark with the 5 and 3 year old today. In central Ohio. Woof. Sometimes you forget about the general publics appearance and you appreciate that your kids aren’t judgmental aholes like their old man. The old hidden memories you tap into when you see your kids enjoying those moments you used to at their age is something special though, man. I’m assuming I’ll also tap into memories of awkwardness and dread seeing them as teenagers but right now it’s all just pure joy. Pretty special stuff.

The personalities of Antigua and Coleman make them seem like cool guys to hang out with and have a drink. Just great, young energy. The contrast between them and Barbee and Justus is remarkable. Not hard to see why we have so much recruiting momentum right now, just need to seal the deal. Hopefully we add a huge piece tomorrow in Edwards who is actually better than Wagner.

Sunday night, even with Tuesday off, is just awful and pretty much has been as long as I can remember. Blah

Used to love listening to Spotrac pod but think it’s time to drop it after hearing him spend 10 min on why the Nats $440mm offer was insulting and Soto would be smart to take it year by year at around $30mm until he got a “fair” offer. FOH!

Michael McDonald ruined, but saved, The Doobie Brothers. He turned them from an old fashioned American rock band into a piano lounge band sounding nothing like the classic Doobies.

Steely Dan is not yacht rock.

For kids of the 70's, Orleans Still the One was played over and over as it was the theme song for ABC when they would be introducing their fall line-up in promotional commercials. When it was a big deal to know what was new and what was coming back on the only 3 networks we had that didn't play Star Trek re-runs. They were the number one network with Happy Days, Laverne and Shirley etal. Now, I can't unsee Kooky's picture. He's ruined my childhood memories.

Things you remember, part II. I believe the leader of Ambrosia was music director for coordinating all the music for the Bill Clinton inauguration.

Hall and Oates have to be on Mount Rushmore of yacht rock.

I Google’d “best yacht rock artists.” The response:

Christopher Cross
Steely Dan
Rupert Holmes
Ambrosia
Toto
Looking Glass
Pablo Cruise
Bertie Higgins
Michael McDonald
Ace
The Ozark Mountain Daredevils
Etc

If you say you listen to this music, you’re lying.

[laughing] Yacht rock is terrible, and people only say they listen to it because the term is popular and trendy right now.

TS.

From everything ive seen cited as Y-Rock -- i absolutely agree [laughing][laughing]

I was less offended when my kids generation brought back The Mullet (and ....Sea Shanties!??!)

Typical PTI too cool for school ********. Of course WCC is agreeing with him. Some of us old guys actually heard that music growing up and it is very nostalgic. Me floating in the pool with some Christopher Cross, Ambrosia and Michael McDonald on a Sunday night before the Sunday Scaries set in is about all I got right now. So tread lightly.

At the same time, somewhere in South Louisville, a dirty young anth735 was driving a low rider, flippin switches and hustling nickel bags of brown dank.

It’s cool, though. We’ll keep it a secret. If anyone in the 40-something suburbanite Dad Bod clique asks, he’s a treble blasting easy listening OG.

I’m old enough or I was socialized by 4 older siblings, to recognize that ‘Yacht Rock’ music is boring pap ********. There was a ton of intriguing stuff going on concurrently with Christopher Cross.

If you like Piña Coladas… get pumped. #TeamPTI

Paulina Porizkova posting bikini pics all over social media made me turn on the way back machine this weekend. She held the GOAT status to a young 73 for about a year or so before she was replaced by Kathy Ireland. She still looks amazing, though she could eat a hamburger or two.

On a related note, The Cars are a damn good underrated band. Banger after banger. Great for summertime listening.
