Just filled out my bracket. FF = Gonzaga, UK, Arizona, and Auburn. We take down Zona in a 97 rematch. Hopefully Miles Simon makes a cameo and starts crying.

Have tomorrow off work and two hearings that could not be rescheduled on Friday

We got another hour of daylight and warm temps. Smashburgers on the blackstone are on the menu, and I'll figure out the rest later. Winter can SMD. This is the best time of the year by far.

Upset picks: UAB, IU (barf), Iowa State, and Loyola (barf x2)

Reminiscing on this beautiful evening about the 83/84 team.

They had started out 12 or 13 and 0 and were headed to Auburn. We played a basketball game same night at John's Creek where I was an elite Sophomore- 5'6 guard with tight handles. Nevermind.... they "asked" me to help the B Team that night where I think I had a gaudy 1 point and a rebound.

Found out about the Auburn score at Long John Silvers in Pikeville. Short fat guy destroyed our frontcourt. Did not realize he would be a beloved, future HOF'er

Kentucky dropped their next one too.

SEC Tourney-made short fat guy cry in finals....at Vandy's Memorial Gymnasium!

Played UofL and the Fighting Lancasters in the NCAA.

We all know or have heard about the Georgetown game. Devastating 2nd half after going in at halftime with the lead.

Still cringe when I hear the name Michael Graham.

Other old folk will remember Hoya Paranoia and how intimidating that team was.

They also had special built Nike Legend shoes which laced up above their calves if I remember correctly. However, I can't find pics on the internet.

Rex Chapman looks like a special needs SVP.

Beautiful outside. Got to where im living and didn't even look outside. Did bake chicken, though.

Booked a refundable flight to Philly. Here's to looking ahead.

Staying at Ceasers Friday and Saturday. Reservations at Binions both nights. I'm going to pretend I'm in Vegas.

Jennifer Garner is a stone cold fox. Love her.

I'll be working in the conference room all day tomorrow. Just put a new 72 inch TV in there last week.

Thought Verns Big East would be better than to lose to South Dakota St. Yikes!

- Patio cleaned and Spring/Summer ready, pool deck sprayed clean, and basketball court clean to.

Still can’t get sod to cover the damn mud so it will all be a mess within a week again, but I’ll enjoy my own paradise this weekend!

- My family and friends that like UL are not happy. Payne is a UK/Cal guy with no coaching experience.

I don’t think they realize their current situation honestly!

Took off tomorrow. Today was a professional melt down day where almost everything went wrong. You know you’re the adult in the room when it’s only your opinion that matters to direct the team(s) out of the ditch. Pressure.

So to act like a kid, I’m going to Best Buy tomorrow morning on a recon mission quest for a PS5. Hot tip. Instead of dealing with deadbeat clients, clueless staff and consultants… I’m going to play Call of Duty, MsPacMan and watch hoops for 14 consecutive hours. Multiple whiskeys. Leave dad alone.

new Elijah Craig BP A122 is worth the hunt. Find it, buy it, drink it. Best ECBP since the pirate bottles.

Hope Cal has a double shoot around tomorrow night. So nervous.

I think most UL fans seem happy. They know he can recruit and now want to praise his ability to connect with the elite hs players and help develop them… Which is quite ironic since a few years ago it was he just rolls the ball out with Cal.

The older Denny dudes from the 80’s heyday will probably be the most excited. That’s an under appreciated group that the new age YUM Center is the biggest party in town crowd never gave its proper due.

Xavier is about ten minutes from my front door. Being able to swing over there on a random Wednesday or something to heckle the **** out of Pitino is so appealing. Hope this happens.
I interviewed for a position with their University Architect years ago but didn’t get it. They said I would be too bored since I was a hotshot “design” architect at the time and university architects are more like a facilities management and an owner’s rep role than an normal architect. I was already dreaming of working through a nice campus, swimming/working out at the rec center over my lunch break, etc.

Now I regularly take hundreds of aerial photographs of piles of dirt each week to earn a living. Needless to say, I’m pretty happy I dodged a bullet on that boring job at X!

I don't know what's crazier to me.

That the 1998 Title was 24 years ago
That the 2014 run was 8 years ago

Also that the 92 and 98 Duke games were only 6 years apart. As a young lad in Covington in my formative 7-13 year old stage, those 6 years felt like an eternity.

I watched the last 9:30 of the 98 Duke game on youtube yesterday, and still remember every single play down the stretch like clockwork. What a coaching clinic Orlando put on that day.

Either way, can't believe it's been 3 years since a tournament game. Really think even though the team only has a couple games of NCAA Tourney Experience, the overall age of the team should lead them to being consistently in all these games. Let's go.

Like I ain't big, like I ain't huge
Like I ain't ****, like I ain't pay dues
Like I ain't full, like I ain't cool
Like I ain't build a empire in the 'Zou, like I, like I ain't

Let’s get #9, boys and girls.

Saw John Mulaney at the Yum Center Saturday night. Great way to knock off the disgust from the game. Ruby's after. Never regret that reservation, especially when you just need something to be exactly what you expect.

Would you believe the Brown Hotel doesn't have SEC Network? In Year of Our Lord 2022?

Highland Morning for brunch the next day.

Think we take it for granted because it's right here, but Louisville is a great city. Love that springtime energy that rolls in this time of year. Lots of Blue.
