I thought the whole Wagner thing was the fact Cal coached his father, what does KP have anything to do with it?
KP and Milt Wagner (DJ's grandfather) played at UL together.

I don't see DJ switching his family from Nike to Addidas so he can play with his grandfather's buddy. Not to mention the amount of loyalty Cal has earned from Dejuan.

KP played with Milt Wagner at U of L. Milt grew up with WWW in Camden, NJ. Milt was KP's introduction to WWW when KP played for the 76'ers. Apparently WWW was Milt's/Dejuan's connection with Cal, and and also Cal's connection with KP.

Andrew Slater didn’t seem too worried about any of that yesterday via Twitter so I’m not going to be either.

I think he would be playing for his grandpa too.

Mags has said pretty firmly that Wagner will go to Louisville if KP has be hired.

While I appreciate SAE's snark, KP at UL would be a weird feeling.

Not that I would be cheering for them in any capacity but all schadenfreude that comes with weeknight loses to Pitt in front of an empty YUM Center would be gone for me.

No sir, I don't like it.

If he goes back to ul, he will be dead to me.

F*** UL as a sport, a team, and a university. If you want to be down with them, then f*** you too. /Tupac vibe

One of the more satisfying wins of the tournament was Boogie & Co. sending those pencil-necks from Cornell home in a bodybag.

Having to listen to Bilas and the chattering class idiots pump up their chances all week was infuriating, preposterous even, and how they came to their upset conclusion even more laughable.

They prayed for a David v. Goliath outcome and to the delight of the faithful, got a **** sambo instead.

Had TOTALLY forgotten about that one - yup

Good call , sir

Loved the fking DISMANTLING of Cincy under Cal too

(Tubby gets an honorable mention for his tourney win over cincy as well)

Stay on your side of the trail and if you stop get off the trail. That's about it. Watch out for little kids and soccer balls. From there it goes like 4-5 miles to the horse park and there's an extra 1-2 miles in the horse park.

You could start at YMCA and get a couple more miles in.

I've always ridden out there from Stately Drummond Manor. Citation has made that a really nice little ride. Much safer than it used to be.

A couple of massive hills on that path always challenge me if I haven't biked in a while, but it's a great trail overall.

The racists overtures that week in March 2010 were fairly thick and not even subtle.

I mean just look at this New England chap *******.

I remember Mags appearing on some Boston radio show that Shaughnessy hosted and they kept playing banjo music leading up to that segment thinking they were intellectually superior to some fella from Eastern Kentucky appearing on their New England sports show.. And then Mags ran circles around them leading them to complete on air frustration.

Cleveland actually had a pretty dope little setup and immediate downtown around the arena for something like that.

Winning and having a badass team surely helped, but really enjoyed.
Underrated downtown area. City still has stigma from 20+ years ago. But, damn, it was about the coldest place I've ever been for an NCAA Tournament.

I'm sure it's just wishful thinking, but part of me still thinks that if KP really wanted to be a college head coach, he wouldn't have left for that Knicks job in the first place. Why not just stay on as Cal's understudy, make great bank, and be picky about where you go next?

I still hold out hope that he'd ultimately prefer to stay where he is and take over in NYC when Thibs is eventually fired.

This seems like pretty big news, no?

It’s needs to pass the house and then would still be up to individual states to approve it according to the article. So it basically would “permit” states to not change the clock if they so desired. Sounds like a bit of a clusterf*ck if certain states don’t change and some do tbh. If the people want it and it’ll make life better for some I would think Kentucky would be strongly opposed to it.

Spent one day in Cleveland. I witnessed an all out worldstar brawl in the street, and about an hour later a homeless man walked up behind me at a urinal and started mumbling about box cutters. Didn’t leave with the highest opinion of that town.

For some reason I haven’t counted on landing Wagner, and am not worried about it. If he’s a cat, wonderful. If he’s a card, effem.

Don’t have strong feelings about Payne either, but I guess will soon, one way or the other.

Never expected to see a Moon Duo reference in here.

- No one going to mention the nerves going into Wichita St, and during the whole damn game?

Christ it was shot for shot to the end and sickening joy the whole 2nd half!

- Kenny in Louisville is fine. Basketball should be an easy fix there. A few locals that will stay the duration of 4 years and hopefully a few mixed in stars.

Easier said than done really, but almost ALL of their success has always come with some local homegrown talent.

- I think Murray is too bright eyed at the idea of UK, and gets upset.

Anyone that will be in the Lexington area tomorrow and wants 4 FREE tix to either or both sessions of the Sweet 16 tomorrow, holla. I'm not rolling in until Thursday and I hate to see these go to waste.

Lower arena at the free throw line. Row M.
Strokin', I'm just a lurker but nobody else is biting so I will. I'd love to have the late session.

Western KY would be a huge winner in the daylight savings time bill. No ragrats and glad they are making the change, but if I had known last fall was the last “fall back” I would have appreciated that extra hour of sleep a little more.

Bored on a Tuesday randoms:

*Does anybody fill out their brackets before Thursday and pick the play-in games? Never have.

*Girl Scout Cookie szn was awesome, but I gotta cut it short. Ate a "wynn" gummy and had an entire box of Samoas. Also, Samoas are the best GS cookie. Don't @ me.

*Are the Indianapolis games in the Fieldhouse or at Lucas Oil? I really wish playing basketball in football stadiums would go away, but $ talks.

*Oscar player comparison to Ben Wallace is a pretty good comparison in my opinion. Oscar has a nice little touch on his jumper that BW never had, but Ben was a little better defensively. Neither are on an Anthony Peeler level, but decent players nonetheless.

*I'm not all that eco-minded, but a friend of mine gave me a free meal box from Hello Fresh. Holy **** at the packaging. Such a waste and I could make spin-offs of every meal that tastes better and costs less. Not to mention, I enjoy going to the grocery store.

*Who is the break out player this year? I hope it's Peter Kiss (lol). Leading scorer in NCAA, but I doubt they win a game.

*I remember getting super hyped for Wally Szczerbiak back in the day. Always enjoy some mid-major guy going off (except those stupid twins from UAB).

*I had come around on Tom Brady after he departed New England, but this comeback is sliding him back into Aaron Rodgers territory for me. Announcing a comeback on Selection Sunday? SMD. NFL pisses me off sometimes.

*This is the best part of the year. Winter absolutely takes a toll on my mental health, and March Madness and more daylight always pull me out of the rut. I need to get some of those Vitamin D light bulbs or lay in the tanning bed or something.

*See ya'll Thursday. BLUE!!!

WSU fans were insufferable before we beat them in STL. Those ******** looked down on UK...in CBB.

The smirk on my face and George Jefferson strut walking out of the arena is one of my fondest post game memories.

I don't like driving, but the sports talk radio shows made it more than worth the trip.
