- My biggest problem with Wayne’s take is that he seemingly forgot that Maddux went to the Braves from Chicago.

What you're saying probably went over my head. But no, I remember when the Braves signed him. It was surprising as the Braves staff was already loaded. But the story I was talking about was in 2004-ish when he went back to the Cubs.

GYERO would be a much better read if someone posted about Rex Chapman, for example, and then that clown actually logged in and typed off a rant that would make KrazyKat blush.

It wouldn't be like a krazykat rant it would actually be a krazykat rant that he regurgitated on his own account with as little credit as possible.

We want you on that wall, we need you on that wall!

No we don't.

I'll begrudgingly admit that Anth is a pretty sharp dude. So in real life, I give his opinions a fair amount of respect. That goes for the few other non idiots that post on here.

But it amazes me how many other yahoos on Rivals, Facebook and the like are so much smarter than the doctors, scientists and disease specialists that are studying Covid-19.

* No to black olives on tacos. Yes to black olives on Mexican Lasagna, nachos and on a few select pizzas.

* My agency spends a lot of money on Matt Jones because I believe in Matt Jones.

"Willy, you're the Kentucky guy. Do you listen to some guy named Matt Jones?"

"Yessir. Most mornings here in the office and that is the guy we were listening to on the way home from that game we went to."

"Go tell the Lexington media rep we said yes."

And the rest is history.

* Come Monday is my fav Buffett tune.

* My youngest daughter doesn't believe me that the lava in Floor is Lava is not really burning the people. She always looks so concerned when somebody falls and disappears. But she loves it when somebody falls on their face or gets hit in the head with a skillet.

* I put up a volleyball net in the backyard. My 10 yo daughter has turned the famous Beavis golf swing into a wildly unsuccessful volleyball serve. Marge whispered to me, "We are sure she's ours, right?"

What is it specifically you don't agree with? I'd love to hear this.

Jimmy Buffet and Margaritaville sucks. There, I said it, let’s move on.

From reading his posts and his general tone on here I can only assume that Cole8754 is absolutely crushing it in real life.

As an olive lover (and general fan of all things pickled) I would absolutely agree that black olives would be too strong an overpowering on a taco. Olive loaf is delicious BTW.

I usually work through lunch so I have about 5 minutes to consume something. I’ve drank almost every protein shake known to man, and am currently just drinking a muscle milk for lunch, but looking for a healthy meal replacement shake that won’t give me cancer or diabetes, seems almost impossible to find.

I never said I disagreed with any of your hot disease takes. And you say Matt Jones has thin skin.

I'm saying I agree with a lot of your opinions, and they are usually well thought out. But I don't agree with a lot of these other idiots who are suddenly disease experts when they obviously have the IQ of BBdK's golf towel.

Apparently every health expert is a liberal who is just trying to make sure Trump doesn't get reelected. See any of the coronavirus threads on the Paddock or the Political thread. Or just ask Chief.

Might have to go pea protein-based, bub. There are some decent ones out there - Vega for example. But they tend to be more expensive.

Therapeutic Tuesday Randoms:

-The comeback from vacation has really made me hit the wall today. I think it has to do with the uncertainty on what the future is going to be especially with sports.

-Weiss Lake was the most packed I have ever seen it. Apparently you can't get a good used boat or jet ski right now either. We stayed in everyday and never went to eat out which kept the day pretty much open. Take the kids skiing/tubing in the morning and then its off to Cold One City.

-Traffic was also the best I have seen it for a 4th week/weekend. I've hit that after the 4th I-75 ride home in the past and it has been miserable.

-If anything the pandemic has made me really look at simplifying life. Or at least financial life. Not to go all all Dave Ramsey but I will definitely have a better nest egg the next time this happens.

-Brahma Fear is my underrated Buffet song.

-I like KSR and still listen daily but I really think Matt is falling into whatever the left media narrative is on the Corona. Saying that if we had been wearing masks this would be over is just wrong on so many levels. People believe what he says and that comment was irresponsible.

-Yeah Anth is my go to on the Corona but I wish I completely shared his optimism. I ultimately think pro sports push on but college is in trouble and for many schools it is going to be an extension level event. No hyperbole.

That's what I thought, buttercup. You engaged me. I don't do the political board. Just keep listening to the appointed doctors make a claim, then back track, then make a new claim, then backtrack. All the while, without asking questions, they're infringing on your rights, people's businesses, and livelihood. The virus is very real and the mitigation is becoming as damaging as the virus, if not worse.

I "engaged" you by saying I begrudgingly think you're a sharp dude and that I respect your opinions in real life (contrary to giving you **** on here).

But on second thought, you can kiss Dr. Fauci's wrinkled ***. Buttercup. sch

-Weiss Lake

-We've talked about this but I grew up going to that lake several times per year. Back when it was safe for little rednecks to ride in the back of a pick up(with a topper(most of the time)) from Louisville to Ft. Payne, AL. Need to bring the bourbon crew down during crappy season.

-I don't have any opinion on college sports because if we're going to test every other day without reason and stop programs every time we get a positive... I'm not sure how you play a season. It's hard to blame the players on for not wanting to deal with it and I can understand the colleges struggling with logistics if that's honestly where they think they need to be to avoid liability. I personally don't get it. IMO, and I'm no expert, but test on return. Test on symptoms. Then aggressively test if you get a positive. Quarantine players just like they do with guys getting the flu during the season.

Honest question: Do we know the impact of being asymptomatic but also engaging in physically demanding athletic activity--for like 30-60 minutes? Does that increase the risk of complications?

German is also a very logical language. If they don’t have a word for something, they create one by combining a noun and verb.

For example, Anth would be “ein Steakverbrenner.”

If you wanted to avoid certain unpleasantries in the future, in German you could say to your host:

Bitte verbrenne mein Steak nicht.

The more you know.

The biggest problem with overcoming Covid, like everything in this country, is it has become a political issue with drooling morons being the most vocal. There is no room for sensible analysis or behavior. Either you are killing everyone, or it’s a hoax and doesn’t exist.

Wear a mask every where at all times or you are a murderer (unless you’re doing something we agree with politically).

Wearing a mask is for pussies and MAW RIGHTS.

Maybe develop a national set of sensible and attainable guidelines to deal with this thing. Can’t ignore it, can’t let it kill the economy. Someone smart, articulate and convincing needs to grab this f*cking thing by the balls and figure it out.

I don’t have a clue what to do, because I’m not a GD doctor who specializes in these things and I’m not an economist. Get the smartest people in the country in a room and hash this **** out on a national level.

And if I’m an enemy of the United States, I abandon all nuclear research and focus on harnessing bioweapons. If you nuke us we will turn your country to glass. If you give us all AIDS we’ll go to war with each other and collapse on our own.

So, if the Washington Redskins is so offensive (and I don’t doubt that it is), then why is their name spoken so freely without regret?

If they were the Washington N******, you couldn’t even hardly get anyone to speak the name aloud. Yet fans just happily use Redskins, while many openly know it’s a racist term?

Weird.

-youre making me blush, willy.

-when i was young rosebud was a bit nicer. It had "la petite rose" fine(ish) dining attached. We had our rehearsal dinner there...my old man got "college drunk", never *drank* again(he will have the occasional yellow beer). No scene/nothing bad happened...apparently the hangover was *really* bad.

It isn't totally out of the realm of possibility that is what happened.

Weird.
This came out four years ago and was a survey conducted by WaPo of Nativie Americans in all 50 states. They begrudgingly had to post the results.

Among the Native Americans reached over a five-month period ending in April, more than 7 in 10 said they did not feel the word “Redskin” was disrespectful to Indians. An even higher number — 8 in 10 — said they would not be offended if a non-native called them that name.

Maybe it’s just offensive to the Karen’s of the world as it seems to provide a sense of pride to the ones that matter most?

Change it. Keep it. Whatever. But when it comes to offending a group of people it appears us colonials have our panties in a wad much more-so. Or maybe the Indians just want to keep that tax free income and cheap booze train coming.

Rex Chapman is smarter than that.

Wrong. Never put a comma before a subordinate conjunction in the middle of a sentence. However, had I begun the sentence with the subordinate conjunction, then a comma would have been needed after the clause.

I’m sure you know that and were just testing me, though.
I had zero idea it that was correct or not, to be honest. Had to find something though. I tried.

It took me five years of LEGAL supps and working out almost every day for five+ years to put 50 pounds on my skinny ***. Went from 145 out of high school to 195 now. Doing that in 6 months or whatever, as Bonzo said, is not possible without taking at least a recovery supplement of some
Illegal variety. If that was normal, Kai Green would be 1000 pounds of muscle.
