Joey, you go #ALLIN and buy a pair of these bad boys to accompany your shorts?

Dr. Bob rolls in those exact shoes. At least he did.

cawood is right. If you're 40+, married with kids, what's the effing point? Why burn a single calorie worrying about what brands to wear, or what's acceptable, what's trendy, etc? I'm not 20, and I'm not gay, so it doesn't matter what I wear. My work is done.

The thing about the Calipari video is that he obviously was just bored, thinking "hey, it's been a few weeks since I've been in the news. How about a 2 minute video of me sweating and huffing, during which I casually mention the possibility of coaching 20 more years? That'll get the minions gabbing."

I'd say it's more likely he hated the thought of your dirty, overweight ***, entering his daughter, than your dumb T-shirt. But I'm just guessing

I wasn't even remotely overweight back then, but other than that... yeah.

*What class in college did you think would be a waste of time that you now use the most? For me, statistics and it isn't really close.

*Running mate? Willy! I can already hear our theme song, JewWop....JewWop dadadadada...

*I have some New B's I wear at work. Walking on concrete at my age you need all the help you can get.

*Went to a "Friday's" in LA. It is just as bad there as it is here.

Those shorts would probably improve the look of you olds in this thread.

They are the ideal "making a run to Lowe's" shorts, imo.

For summer kicks, I usually wear trail running shoes that never see a trail. (Or old Tom's, as you would assume.)

Just thinking back on college, i took an assortment of what i would consider wild/weird classes. Weird Anthropology named classes, a few music classes, human sexuality, a pharmacy class, history of Kentucky, one even called Dinosaurs and Disasters.

Afternoon Cubs Game and Wrigleyville
Trip to the top of the Hancock Center
Art Institute/Natural History Museum
Great hotels
Great restaurants and world famous pizza scene
Shopping on Michigan Ave. with great stores, shopping, people and skyscrapers all around

Of course it's different than NYC...but so is everywhere else in the US. As far as NYC, it's probably down on the list of "vacation" destinations as well. Give me SF/Wine Country, Vegas, Florida beaches, Mountain West skiing, etc.

But Chicago is the "perfect" weekend trip from Louisville. 5 hour drive. 1 hour flight. Easy to navigate. Would I rather go to NYC? Absolutely. But it's a lot more difficult to get to from Louisville (esp. for family of 5) and costly vs. Chicago. And that's the appeal.

:100points:

You essentially described sole "destination" spots in Chicago, which is fine, but when people say "Chicago" is great...they should be saying "very specific parts" of Chicago are great. It has a very, very small area you can actually walk around outside of the Mile w/o fear of getting capped. NYC...walk all day and see tons. Sure there are the exceptions that require the sub, but if I have the time and the energy, I can pretty much hoof it to most spots I want to see in NYC compared to having to L or bus somewhere to "specific spots" of Chicago.

Definitely have some pride. But there's a difference between pride and vanity. (Plus, most guys' wives wouldn't let them leave the house looking homeless.) And it shouldn't get to the point where you're worrying about what's "in" this season. That reeks of insecurity.

When I pledged TKE at UofL, the actives designated one of my pledge bros as "dad pledge." So on meeting days when all the pledges had to wear shirt/tie/blazer to class, dad pledge had to wear stereotypical dad attire. The dude absolutely owned it too. White New B's, cell phone holster, short sleeve plaid button up tucked into Wranglers, digital Timex, the works really.

Yeah since then we've nearly gotten kicked off campus and can no longer have a dad pledge. Disappointing.

I bet UKO's legs get pretty chafed hoofing it around in NYC wearing jorts. Probably too scared to wear his gold chain as well.

History of Kentucky was an awesome course. I made the mistake of taking it pass/fail, when I actually never missed a lecture and rolled through it to an easy A. Would have been nice to add that to the old GPA.

Criminology was a pretty dope course, too. Made me really think about police work, incarceration, war on drugs, etc. Intellectually, I think that course has stuck with me more than most of my ******** electives.

As for my actual major (Finance), I enjoyed Money and Capital Markets (or whatever). Probably the one course that made me decide to move forward with a career related to my major. When I had that "oh ****" moment sometime around the end of my first semester senior year where I second-guessed my choice of major, that course helped.

Agree, but it was an 8:00 am course. I didn't think for a second I would actually want to attend the damn class.

Oh well, college is a waste of time. Better off at trade school. Save your money.

How hard is it to wear a polo/gingham+khakis/jeans+loafers?

Did any of you all partake in KHP classes for funsies?

I took: Weightlifting (twice), Beginning Tennis, Ultimate Frisbee, and Triathlon.

The best class was a Super Dutch seminar, based on the book, Super Dutch.

We talked about brand new whack-a-doodle Dutch architects for a few months and then went to the Netherlands for a couple weeks. My buddy and I extended our trip by leaving early and staying with a classmate in Bern for an extra week.

Blazed bike tours with the dean in the Dutch countryside to experience the most cutting edge buildings in the world at the time.

- Today at work, I am reviewing kitchen floor sinks to make sure the flange thickness are correct for accepting the tile floor surface. So my quality of life has not fallen off one iota since then, imo.

Screw a trade school(not really they're great for some trades), better off in an apprenticeship.

African Art was my favorite non-useful class.
Entrepreneurship or Business accounting are the two most useful. Accounting is the one I wish I had really buckled down on.
Worst was a damn mandatory elective, History of Medicine, figured it would be easy as all of those mandatory classes were. ***** planned a 5a Saturday field trip, in college, to Perryville Civil War Battlescene. False, called her at 4:30, still awake obviously, and bailed. Had to do some ridiculous treasure hunt around Louisville to make up for the miss. Still pissed about this and the fact this trip was conveniently after the drop date and a class I pretty much had to complete.

Anth isn't turning a milestone birthday, so obviously no formal invite required. For the record though, that was all Lassie's doing. I would have been fine with a facebook event.

I wore those NB for tennis back in the day. Not the most fashionable choice, effective though.

Never been cellphone case holder guy, I prefer pockets.

No clue about Knoxville, I don't frequent that **** orange city.

Looking forward to a juicy steak tonight.

If they were paying Tunsil's mom's rent, electric, and what not at Ole Miss then there is no telling what Stoops and Co. are throwing at our players/recruits. Which, I think everyone here agrees, is completely cool. Eff utility bills though, I hope all of our guys are rolling around campus in Porsches and throwing hot tub/money counting parties every weekend.

Adam..Morriss' last year, we made the trip down to Knoxville for that **** show, but Ye Old(e) Steakhouse managed to salvage the trip.

If it's still in the same spot, it's down the street from the Holiday Inn Select downtown.
