Yep, nothing like a staunch extreme Dem to ride along w/ King Schembari. You guys would get along great.

Great call. [eyeroll]

I'm not exactly an ultra conservative. Plus IMO have a different thinking counter part would be awesome. Plus, I mean it would be the best looking combo in history.

To SAE's point, I was never a big weed guy, had too many friends in high school that became pure burn outs so smoking weed was never really appealing to me.

However, as an adult, I'd really like to ship the kids off to the grandparents, try some edibles, and sit around stoned off my *** one weekend.

Meh. I'm pretty much just about #1 these days, Adrian. Not wasting any more of my energy or time on this earth worrying about either awful political party.

So really, Anth and I would make a lot of sense.

Don't think Chicago is overrated at all. No, it's not NYC or San Francisco but it's still really awesome (especially having a major, international city such a reasonable drive from here). We do an annual long weekend there and always look forward to going back.

I haven't smoked with any regularity in years, but once in a blue moon I'll still enjoy. Needs to be the right setting or else the brain train leaves the station and I'm a ball of paranoia and stress.

Chicago is great, and I said as much. I look forward to going back whenever that happens as well.

Learn to read.

-Max, I hope Bengals draft Landon Foster.

I'd love to hear Anth's platform. Be interesting to hear him talk about anything besides himself.

I hope everything in Louisville closes and reopens as Friday's. Not even an Applebee's. T.G.I.M.F.'n.Fridays.

Smoked 2 years ago while on vacation in Akumal, Mexico. Hadn't in years before that.

On the 2nd day of the trip the guys took an afternoon trip into the "village" and posted up at my buddy's favorite bar. We scored some from the chef at this joint.

We all smoked later that evening on the beach. Totally geeked. Had my cooler, my tunes, and laughed my *** off for what seemed like an eternity. Refused to get up. Slept on the beach chair. Woke up the next morning and was about as relaxed & clear minded as I've felt in a long time.

Made the lass hit Texas Roadhouse with me a couple years ago. I had convinced myself that it had to be pretty good for some reason, and I was really interested in crushing shelled peanuts while we waited. Could be dope?

Well the novelty of free shelled peanuts wore off rather quickly. And as it turns out, the Roadhouse is pretty garbage. I remember being pretty disappointed about it, actually. I mean, I really tried. Think Andy Armadilla might have taught me something that night.

Afternoon Cubs Game and Wrigleyville
Trip to the top of the Hancock Center
Art Institute/Natural History Museum
Great hotels
Great restaurants and world famous pizza scene
Shopping on Michigan Ave. with great stores, shopping, people and skyscrapers all around

Of course it's different than NYC...but so is everywhere else in the US. As far as NYC, it's probably down on the list of "vacation" destinations as well. Give me SF/Wine Country, Vegas, Florida beaches, Mountain West skiing, etc.

But Chicago is the "perfect" weekend trip from Louisville. 5 hour drive. 1 hour flight. Easy to navigate. Would I rather go to NYC? Absolutely. But it's a lot more difficult to get to from Louisville (esp. for family of 5) and costly vs. Chicago. And that's the appeal.

When you reach the age of 45 and older, which i have, you get a pass on flip flops, sandals, shorts, clothing in general. Now, i still wouldn't wear those shorts Joey posted yesterday but i think us old men get somewhat of a pass.

Joey, you go #ALLIN and buy a pair of these bad boys to accompany your shorts?

-My hotel room in Evansville yesterday looked right into a Texas Roadhouse parking lot. That sucker was jam packed during a tornado warning crazy thunderstorm. A lot of people love those places. Harmon, Gene and I hit Applebee's in Madisonville at the Eli a few years back. It's terrible. The Brutus is still strong, though.

-Little Mac 18 last night courtesy of MCF. [smoke]

-I like to make decisions based on individual topics rather than align myself specifically with one group. Especially when the group I lean towards starts to openly embrace bigots like that fat idiot in Morehead. No thanks. Lower my taxes, stop meddling in my affairs and let people be themselves.

-BDay tomorrow. Apologize to all my friends that didn't receive my "OMG ITS MY BDAY LES GET WASTED AT A BAR" themed party formal invite. Likely b/c I'll be hanging out at the house with the family and eating dinner with my neighbors.

-Buddy's bachelor plans coming together. I'm kind of stoked. Mainly because mine has been the only bachelor party from this group. Currently they're tossing around Phoenix, Nola, Denver(rafting/hiking) and Chicago. He lives in Chicago, if his BM plans an in town party, that's weak. It doesn't have to be something nuts but the in town Bach Parties are dumb.
