I'd say it's more likely he hated the thought of your dirty, overweight ***, entering his daughter, than your dumb T-shirt. But I'm just guessing
Just thinking back on college, i took an assortment of what i would consider wild/weird classes. Weird Anthropology named classes, a few music classes, human sexuality, a pharmacy class, history of Kentucky, one even called Dinosaurs and Disasters.*What class in college did you think was be a waste of time that you now use the most? For me, statistics and it isn't really close.
Afternoon Cubs Game and Wrigleyville
Trip to the top of the Hancock Center
Art Institute/Natural History Museum
Great hotels
Great restaurants and world famous pizza scene
Shopping on Michigan Ave. with great stores, shopping, people and skyscrapers all around
Of course it's different than NYC...but so is everywhere else in the US. As far as NYC, it's probably down on the list of "vacation" destinations as well. Give me SF/Wine Country, Vegas, Florida beaches, Mountain West skiing, etc.
But Chicago is the "perfect" weekend trip from Louisville. 5 hour drive. 1 hour flight. Easy to navigate. Would I rather go to NYC? Absolutely. But it's a lot more difficult to get to from Louisville (esp. for family of 5) and costly vs. Chicago. And that's the appeal.
:100points:
I can pretty much hoof it to most spots I want to see in NYC
I bet UKO's legs get pretty chafed hoofing it around in NYC wearing jorts. Probably too scared to wear his gold chain as well.

This is an all-time bad take.It has a very, very small area you can actually walk around outside of the Mile w/o fear of getting capped.
