For the record, in spite of one fan here trying make me think otherwise, I certainly hope Arsenal can beat out City. I have nothing against Arsenal, they are a proper club, unlike City.

Most Liverpool and United fans don’t think like you they would rather their city rival and team that their best group ever consistently finished behind win another title just to spite Arsenal

Nah, Arsenal is only really hated by the London bunch. A lot of old line Liverpool fans hate them because of Micheal Thomas. They are a proper club though, no sports washing there.

EVERYBODY hates City.

Very few Liverpool fans want Everton to win anything, witness the chant at the Derby Sunday. As for United.....

For me, Everton is the worst. City second because they've cheated their arses off. Then United. I used to like Arsenal OK, but can't stand Arteta, so they're 2nd on the hate list until he's gone.

I think Arteta is the main reason they haven't been able to get over the hump so far. He is a whiner and his team has kind of taken on that same mentality. Of course City and Liverpool being what they have been since Arteta got there have had a lot to do with it as well.

I can see why people dislike Arteta but I think he’s a phenomenal manager. The Arsenal he took over was mentally weak and didn’t challenge for anything since 2016. I think he has too much power in the club in say so with transfers. His 2023 window with Havertz and Rice was phenomenal but 2024 and 2025 have only managed to sustain a very good team not elevate them to elite. The Gyorkeres signing as an example from this past summer

maybe I’m on Twitter too much. One of my best friends is a Liverpool fan so I do enjoy giving him grief about any minor inconvenience. To be fair I feel that way about every other big 6 club as well

YouTube channel for you: Fusion Josh. He does some stuff from Europe but his lower league and especially his non league stuff in England is incredible. If I lived there I would be all over non league football. Check it out.

I forgot to post my impression of the Toffies new stadium. It’s nice, for a soul less bowl. it looks like an American’s idea of a fantastic stadium, it’s all symmetrical and regular, perfectly adapted for American bowel habits. THANK YOU FSG FOR PRESERVING ANFIELD!

I miss Goodison. We needed to move on from it, but it had so much character

Agree. The new stadium looks great in a lot of ways. But very generic, corporate and soulless. Could be worse though. You could be West Ham.

Good win for the Gooners today. They had to have the win and they needed to goals as well. I still think City reels them in.

We looked really fluid. Rotated guys in the second half but the first half was our best performance of the season

Isak out again tomorrow, groin strain in training. Best comment I saw from Liverpool fans: He is an awfully expensive piece of balsa wood.

That’s a lot of wasted money that could have been spent on Guehi. With a lot left over.

Agree, except CP seemed absolutely opposed to selling him to us. Let him go to the cheaters without a fight.

Tottenham 2-0 over Villa so far. Actually enjoying this so Villa have something to play for on the final day against City also screw Emery

What a game. Was hoping for an Everton win but we needed City to drop points somewhere

As a Liverpool fan, all I can say is thank God for Chelsea (and Aston Villa). Us and Villa may be the worst Premier League teams to ever qualify for the Champions League. Unless Bournemouth or Brentford take one of those spots.

Wow, busy day at work so didn’t get a chance to watch live. For those that did, should City have had that extra minute beyond the 6 of stoppage time?

As an Arsenal fan, I’d say the ref (Michael Oliver, btw) was generous with extending extra time as much as he did. An Everton player crashed into the advertising leading to a City corner and there was a short delay, but Everton had a sub on in seconds. I don’t know where Oliver found the rest of that time.

I caught the last 30 minutes and it was incredible. Credit to Moyes/Everton, when they took the lead they kept attacking. City looked completely rattled after 3-1. Haaland’s immediate goal from kickoff to make it 3-2 was massive. It gave City life.

Go Gunners!
