Wow, busy day at work so didn’t get a chance to watch live. For those that did, should City have had that extra minute beyond the 6 of stoppage time?
Unfortunately I thought it was a good decision from the ref. Doku just hit a worldy. Also Ndiaya missed some chances that would’ve made it 4/5-1

So here’s a crazy scenario, that really may happen.

LOSE AND YOU’RE IN … THE CHAMPIONS LEAGUE? 🤔

If Aston Villa win the Europa League, 6th place in the Premier League could qualify for the Champions League.

That could set up a scenario where, if Brighton or Brentford were to pass Bournemouth, they might need to lose on the last day to ensure Villa finish 5th 😵💫

Got all that? 😅

Even on games played at the top. Arsenal have a 2 point lead. No pressure boys

Got busy yesterday but Arsenal-West Ham… Wow. Arsenal looked clueless from 20th minute until the 80th. Finally score then forget to keep possession and West Ham missed a close look and concede a corner. The corner happens and the most controversial VAR decision of the season goes to Arsenal. 3 points in the bag. 5 clear of City. 2 games left

Will never root for an Arsenal victory, but happy for the West Ham loss. Spurs ain't dead yet! Now if we can just keep our heads against Leeds today and come away with a point or three.

It was the right call. The time it took was unfortunate but too big of a decision for both the championship and relegation battles to not get it right

There is serious debate to be had over that. It looked like an Arsenal foul could have caused the foul that caused the goal to be disallowed. Which ever way it went, I hate VAR.

Obviously I’m biased but I thought clearly Raya was interfered with. You can clearly see he was going up to get the ball and his momentum was stopped. Contact on the keeper is the most important factor in that situation

He was interfered with. A couple of west ham players were also tackled on the play. I’ve seen a lot worse ignored.

Don’t disagree but keeper comes first. There needs to be a cleanup on what goes on during corners. Every side is guilty of it. The officials got the call right yesterday but there’s been a precedent wrongly set of similar plays being called clean

Just establish that contact with the Goalkeeper will be penalized.

People here in the US complained about QBs being protected back in the day.

EPL needs to follow suit.

Agree. But there’s a pic of an Arsenal goal that stood when the Arsenal player elbowed the Aston Villa GK in the face. The problem is they’re worse than SEC referees when it comes to consistency. You never know what’s a foul & what’s not. And the most ridiculous rule of all is if an offensive player arm touched the ball on a clearly intentional hand ball, it’s not a hand ball unless the offense later scores, then it’s retroactively ruled a hand ball. WTF?

Yes, and the contact with the keeper appears to have been caused by an Arsenal player grabbing a West Ham player and forcing him into the keeper, at least in one angle. Either way, I hate VAR.

I'm was pulling for Millwall. Them in the EPL……would have been interesting. “Everyone hates us. We don’t care.”
Terrorist in London storms into a pub with a machete and screams “Allah Akbar.“ Millwall fan in the pub screams “17 that, I’m Millwall.” He proceeds, unarmed, to take down the terrorist till the cops arrive. He spent a few days in the hospital, but he did it. He has since been arrested several times I think.

Slot has to go if we don't make the CL. That is the minimum acceptable standard for Liverpool. I think he needs to go anyway. In my 30+ years following Liverpool the way we play is such a drastic departure from the Liverpool way. It's excruciating to watch at times. It's about as far from Klopp's heavy metal football as you can get. Last year was perfect, a slightly toned down version of Klopp's stuff. Just enough to keep the legs fresh for the run in. Now we don't look remotely like any Liverpool team I've ever seen. Even when we sucked it was more fun to watch.

He needs to go anyway. This season has been a disaster like nothing I’ve seen. I can’t even watch this team play, it’s that bad. I almost hope Bournemouth takes that last champions league position. They freaking deserve it. We don’t. And if we let Alonso go to Chelsea when he wants the Liverpool job it’s inexcusable. Well get that we deserve.

Can’t wish for us not to qualify for the CL. That would be a financial disaster. I’m not sold on Alonzo. There is a guy out there though…..well rested now.

Why I said almost. But another season with Slot is just going to kick the can down the road 1 year.

Mo Salah with a pretty damning post today. About half the team liked it. No way Slot can survive. At least I hope not.

Glad Salah is speaking up. Says a lot that players like Robertson, Soboslai, Jones & others liked the post. Hopefully this forces their hand. Although they’ve missed to boat on Alonso. 😡
Not too fussed about Alonzo. He didn't set the world on fire in Madrid.
