I think a good AD would want a list that includes all coaches who would be a great fit, regardless of whether they are likely to accept an offer. You never know if someone like Bielema would accept an offer if he were offered the right amount of money.I think he will spend the rest of his coaching career at IL as long as he gets them to bowl games on a regular basis.
Bielema is a great fit for a Big Ten West school and will have IL competing for the division title sooner than later, IMO. He's going to take what he ran at Wisconsin and put it in at IL.
73 percent of Nebraskans live in urban areas. That number is 46 percent in WV, which is one of the most beautiful places in the world, just not all that sophisticated. Of course, I live in Iowa, so I question my own intelligence and sanity every day.Says a bunch of cow farmers. How laughable. I have been to Lincoln for a game.
I lived in WV for 7 years. Lewisburg is wonderful.73 percent of Nebraskans live in urban areas. If Brett venables was going to be a head coach don't you think he would have done it like 20 years ago? He makes head coach moneyI think Fickel would be a great hire. I like what I see of Leonard and I'd take Brent V in a heartbeat.
This one is ‘official’ thoughalready have a long conversation covering this topic
Yep , but we're dreaming on most of these coaching candidates anyhow. If Brett venables was going to be a head coach don't you think he would have done it like 20 years ago? He makes head coach money
I like this idea. but he's probably a Manchurian Alvarez Candidate (a la Eichorst), and will destroy us from the inside out.Let's shamelessly take Leonhard from Wisconsin and copy their system. They got it from us so who cares?
You didnt even list the top candidate, Bill O'Brien.
Weekend a Bernies style.Bill Snyder - the king of resurrecting crappy programs
He's lost the Armed Forces to Jeff Munken. Better off hiring the guy that wins the Armed Forces vs the one that doesn't since the systems are not all that much diffferent. How about Troy Calhoun from Air Force?
Seems like similar makeup of the other triple option service academy coaches, yet incorporates a little more spread formation and clever passe passing game stemming from the run game.
