I'm adding Dave Doeren to the list. Turns 50 in December. 6 winning seasons out of 8 at N.C. State. From KS and a lot of his experience has been in the colder weathers.

You should make a poll based on this list. It'd be interesting to see out of the options projected us fans would be collectively most interested in seeing get the job. Well done sir.

Who would you want to replace Scott Frost as the next head coach? I have three names that I am very high on - Chris Kleiman, Lance Leipold, and Jeff Monken.

Hell, we haven't tried the High School coach route yet.

Notre Dame brought in Gerry Faust straight from the High School ranks, and Gus Malzhan was a former High School coach tied to the hip of 5* QB Mitch Mustain and his recruitment to Arkansas along with his OC title. Solich was a helluva high school coach in Nebraska before landing a gig under Osborne.

How about we bring back the Turmanator in Matt Turman?

I like Jamey Chadwell just because I'm certain Fikell nor Campbell would desire to come here. Chadwell runs an awesome spread triple option attack that should work very very well here

That was my vote. I know hiring another coach from a non P4 school will not be popular with some, but I really think that style of offense is the direction we need to go.

The inventor of actual said offense in Paul Johnson ran such a trick in the ACC at Georgia Tech.

Hell, surprised some Husker fans aren't clamoring for him as the call for his prowess was fairly large not that many moons ago. While he had some early success, it became too easy for teams to defend on a year in and year out basis in conference and he was canned in 2018 after consecutive 1, 4, 4, and 5 wins seasons.

Young people who don't understand option concepts. They think everything needs to be the air raid show.

If we bring a smash-mouth rushing attack that uses option principles, the top two targets should be Jamey Chadwell and Jeff Monken. These two coaches run the same principles in a different manner but are mostly the same, for the rushing concepts, in the end.

That isn’t the same offense and PJ was 82-61 at GT and retired after the 2018 season, he wasn’t fired.

Right. We'll set the B10 on it's ear with a newfound way to run the football.

Minnesota ran a perfect game plan against Ohio State last night, and still lost at home to a 1st game starter from tOSU. At one point Ohio State had scored 45 points off of 42 plays to Minny's 65+ plays.

Can't even play near perfect football and beat tOSU with inferior players.

I voted for Matt C. My second choice would be Billy Napier from UL. Like that he is a Saban disciple and has a great track record so far.

It needs to be from the spread. Kids dont want to play option football with 22 and 23 personnel today. Gotta spread it out and get all 6 skill players involved.

Right, Iowa has 3 of the very best TE's in the NFL starting this year.

Kittle, Hockenson, Fant.

22 and 23 personnel should be all the rage.

What are we to do with two very promising prospects at QB, viz. Haarberg and Torres?

Get a QB coach who can actually develop, or recruit/get transfer in ASAP. If we were to go the Chadwell route, I wouldn't be surprised if his qb McCall transferred with him... Dudes a freaking stud. Basically what we thought AM would be

Went with Kleiman for now, subject to change. The BC guy is intriguing. Like the offense with Coastal Carolina.

I will never understand the fascination with coaches in our area. Huskernation fawned over Paul Rhoads; not to mention hanging on his crocodile tears. They like Klieman cause he can beat the little guys.

Everybody wants MC and it makes sense. But, let's see if the B12 let's him do it again.
