When are you guys gonna realize you aren't relevant anymore? The rest of the country knows it, eventually it'll sink into your skulls too. One *** whoopin' by Wisconsin in the B1G championship game is like the best you've done in the past 20 years. Glory days are over and you need to get them back, it's not a continuation.Lateral move, now that is funny.
But tell us more about how he has built Minnesota up, by losing more than his predecessors? You can keep the self promoting dirt bag. Seems to fit you well.
Honest question, when would being a blue blood end in your opinion? If you guys don't reach 10 wins in any season in the next 20 years, are you still a blue blood?we remain a blue blood bc of the most dominant run in the history of college football

He didn't convince us 5-7 is special, but I can understand you being butt hurt since you guys can't even beat us anymore. And I'm more than happy to compare attendance this year. I'm sure your stadium will be standing room only for Fordham, your only win this year.Neither program has much of anything going for it right now, but we aren't content to keep it that way, you are.
Somehow you have let a used car salesman of a coach convince you his 3-4, 5-7 and 7-6 seasons are special and better than the 9-4 and 8-5 seasons before him and you have bought it hook line and sinker.
And since you mentioned the last 20 years:
Nebraska:
152-101
7 Top-25 finishes
4 Divison Championships
Minnesota:
125-121
2 Top-25 finished
0 Divison Championships
We could also compare, attendance, facilities, money, recruiting, etc, etc. If you need.
Who the hell is Tanner Morgan? He didn't convince us 5-7 is special, but I can understand you being butt hurt since you guys can't even beat us anymore. And I'm more than happy to compare attendance this year. I'm sure your stadium will be standing room only for Fordham, your only win this year.
And how's that recruiting going for you? We will have a bunch of draft picks this year. You guys? A-Mart was a very highly rated recruit, I'll give you that. Way ahead of Tanner Morgan, so you have that going for you lol.

you guys have plenty more to do than us, that's for sureYou certainly got me on recruiting. A-Mart was higher than our QB - of course, ours can hit open receivers, yours can't. And your RB Stepp or whatever was higher rated than ours, of course, ours is the reigning B1G RB of the year. And that offensive line you got, what a bunch of maulers! No wonder you've been kicking our asses recently...oh wait.
As far as attendance, tickets sold doesn't mean squat. Also, if we had nothing else to do except stare at cornfields and tip cows, we'd have 100,000 seats at our stadium.
Either way, you guys aren't a blue blood anymore. Who's gonna win more games the next few years?

Not to get too involved in this circle jerk, but those aren't attendance numbers, those are ticket "sales". Nebraska had a game (vs Illinois) a few years ago where fewer than 2/3rds actually showed up. Not once in 2019 did attendance ever reach 90% of capacity. So you do want to compare attendance numbers, OK:
Nebraska:
2019: 89,348
2018: 89,034
2017: 89,798
2016: 90,200
2015: 89,998
Minnesota:
2019: 46,190
2018: 37,915
2017: 44,358
2016: 43,814
2015: 52,366
And you do want to compare recruiting rankings:
Nebraska:
2021: 18
2020: 17
2019: 15
2018: 21
2017: 20
Minnesota:
2021: 41
2020: 38
2019: 41
2018: 43
2017: 57
No wonder you are over here trying to feel better about yourself. Ugh, not so elite after all.

Huskers: Sellout streak doesn't mean 100% full stadium
There's no doubt Nebraska Cornhusker fans are some of the best in the country. They're known of unwavering support, hospitality, and most of all, showing up.www.1011now.com
Can we stay on topic, please? This is a thread about who could replace Scott Frost.
Speaking of that, I went through all of the big name coordinators from the last two football seasons and all of them already got head coaching jobs besides Grinch that spent time at Washington State, Ohio State, and now Oklahoma.
For coordinator names, there really aren't any star names in the game right now besides the DC at Clemson that gets paid as much as some head coaches at the D1 level and Grinch.
I'm trying to find names to add to my list and it's not easy.
According to all time winning percentage and one of eight schools to win more than 900 games were still a blue blood.. blue blood are through out history…Gophers never have won a national championship playing two platoon football…You certainly got me on recruiting. I'm done with the Nebraska ties thing. Get someone that runs a strong program, can recruit, and knows how to win in the Big 10. No West Coast Offense guys, no ex-Husker guys with minimal experience but buddies in the system. If Nebraska moves on from Frost I agree they need someone with experience. However, Bill OBrien to me would not be the right guy for Nebraska. He’s a good coach, but he also seems a bit too thin-skinned to put up with job like the Nebraska head coach. Plus I think he’s being a groomed for an SEC job.
Malzahn is also not coming to Lincoln. He’s in a great spot and can hold out for something better.
Craig Bohl fo me seems like the obvious choice. Checks all the boxes with Nebraska ties and twenty years of head coaching experience. Only down point is at 64 years old he’s not a long-term solution.
Bienemy is an intriguing choice. Wants to be a HC. Reid and other endorse him. Would have clout in the 500 mile radius based on success as player and coach.Steve Sarkisian
Joe Brady
Matt Lafleur
Eric Bienemy
Huge risk and uncertainty.Bienemy is an intriguing choice. Wants to be a HC. Reid and other endorse him. Would have clout in the 500 mile radius based on success as player and coach.
Nope. He's way too attached to Frost.Chinander.
Let's be honest. What's he started with and what he's able to put on the field now are vastly different products. I have a feeling he's going to be a pretty good head coach before it's all said and done.
So why wasn’t he offered at those places?I'm researching Jeff Monken in more detail.
11 years of head coaching experience
6 out of those 11 years he won 9 games or more at two different schools (CONSISTENCY)
Made it to the FCS semifinals 3 straight years at Georgia Southern
Rebuilt the Army program and became the only Army coach to ever win 11 games in a season.
For his games against Michigan, Ohio State and Oklahoma, he took two of those games into overtime and played all 3 closer than the last 3 Nebraska coaches have.
Finished in the top 10 in total team rushing yards every year. rarely got blown out. Army plays Wisconsin this year and they will play Wisconsin a lot closer than Scott Frost will.
Simply put, Jeff Monken's name is not getting talked about enough.
Give Jeff Monken better athletes to run his system and he can win the Big Ten conference.
All he would really need to do is adjust the offense a tad bit to incorporate a little more passing to keep defenses honest.
Prior to Jeff being the head caoch at Army they had 1 winning season since 1997.
Jeff was a finalist for the Kansas job, interviewed for the South Carolina and IL jobs, and was also mentioned in jobs such as Missouri.
If offered, Jeff would take the Nebraska job, IMO. He would have taken the kansas job if that was offered.
He is from Illinois and they did not interview him, unless you mean like 5 years ago.I'm researching Jeff Monken in more detail.

What about Stanford’s coach? David Shaw. That’s hard nosed running game offense. And solid D. I think they are on a bit of a down swing
AgreedHe’s a Stanford alum, so I bet he’s a lifer there.
He isn't an Army lifer. He was one of four finalists for the Kansas job. I don't think he was a finalist for IL, but his name was mentioned in articles I read.He is from Illinois and they did not interview him, unless you mean like 5 years ago.
I like the guy and he is not married to the triple option and he is a good coach, I do wonder if he might just really like being at Army.
