I'm amused by how Biff tripped all over himself for the first 6 weeks of this and then finally Fauci shows up, refutes everything Biff says while diplomatically saying they had same message (he lied) and now the world just wants Fauci to talk.
And Bifftards are applauding Biff for his performance.

I live in the freaking United States of America in by God West Virginia. I made my statement and stand by it. Cautious is one thing paranoia is another. Right now 90% of the country is in paranoia TP hoarding status.
Yeah, I don’t get the TP thing, but having a wife in healthcare, and family out west, I’m hearing some pretty daunting things.

I hear them as well. I understand the cautions but the paranoia part over the whole thing is a bit ridiculous. Perhaps it's intentionally reported to scare people to staying at home. I have still traveled within the US and to major cities at that. Carrier, maybe. But I don't go hugging others or go face to face with them. It's been 7 days now since my last trip and I show no signs of the virus. Being cautious and smart goes a long way.
What if it was a US invasion test on the American population that went through northern axis first. To test US economy and people paranoia to grasp the situation.

A poor country cannot take care of it's citizens. Sooner, rather than later, we have to go back to work. We need to try and protect the vulnerable but we need to get back to work. More bad will come from the longer we sit still.
It's ok to kill the unborn but not ok to make decisions that might affect people who have already lived 75-85 years
Having had to make that decision for both of my parents, I don't wish that on anyone. And yes I had to pull the trigger twice...
We cannot stay self isolating for a month. Just ridiculous. You can't ruin the country for such a small segment of the population. We can treat the symptoms as they occur. People over 80 die all the time, that's a terrible thing to say, but my mom is 89 and waiting for the time to be called home.
My mom is 89, can't see, can't here, bowels fail at times. Lives with my sister. If you are in a nursing home, you are compromised anyway. We don't treat our animals that way

Agreed, that's why the living will was executed and I made sure my parents wishes were adhered to in their last days.

Who gets the ventilators in this Cuomo approach?
In 2015 Cuomo decided not to buy the 16,000 additional ventilators recommended to the state in case of a pandemic . Instead he commissioned a group to come up with guidelines as to how ventilators would be rationed if such a pandemic were to occur.
That task force came up with rules that will be imposed when ventilators run short. Patients assigned a red code will have the highest access, and other patients will be assigned green, yellow or blue (the worst) depending on a "triage officer's" decision.

Worldwide depression will. People die every day, that"s a sad but true fact. The city of NY has 10% of it's population working in the hospitality industry. They are almost all laid off. Those jobs will not come back if we don't go to work soon enough. You liberals claim to care about people but being out of a job over something that isn't affecting very many people is just plain stupid. Put a return date, give people a definite start time and get back to work. We can treat people that are infected. No country is worth a **** if it ends up like Venezuela or Belgium.
So what is this $3-6T relief Bill for ?? Corporate investment? It’s for those very people. I can’t speak for other countries. I put up with the corruption, but when it’s time for my Government to step up for its people, they better step the **** up!

When you compare to other deaths, it's not that many. My solution is to stay the course till about April 10th and then get back to work. We can't survive if we destroy our economy.
It's not only the economy. If we keep people quarantined too long we will have more suicides than Coronavirus deaths. Fact no country was prepared for this. The things we have done so far has allowed us time to prepare while slowing down the spread. Trump is giving people hope based of off the information his task force is giving him. God forbid we have a bunch of suicides this weekend. These idiots would be saying he wasn't giving anyone hope and he was too doom and gloom.
We need a start date to get back to work. Let the population know that we will do everything possible to treat the sick. Sooner the better for everybody. We are going to lose much, much more than what the covd 19 kills if we idle for a long time. Too many want that.
