Agreed. She's basically the same player as KM with similar skills and deficiencies. Both 5'8" and shoot basically the same percentages from the floor throughout their careers. Plum has provided a shade more in assists and rebounds, but not enough that she'd be an upgrade. Maybe you could get her for a cheaper contract than KM will want since she only made $1MM this past season.

But the Fever don't need to replace KM with a 20+ point scorer, they need to use her money to find a starting SG that can play defense first and also chip in 8ish points. And then a SF that can do similar. Do that, and suddenly Clark can once again be the worst defender on the floor and not hurt the team as much so that she can save some energy for the offensive side of the floor where she flourishes. The Fever can't go into next season hoping that scoring 100 points is good enough to win games. They need to reduce the number of points given up on defense, even if it means reducing the amount they score on offense.
Plum is not a friend of CC no way do they need another midget with an attitude

No surprise here. They pushed Miles all year even though Clark averaged 2 pt/GM and 2.3 assist/gm more then Miles. Basically Clark averaged 25% more assists the Miles over the course of the season, so not even close. Then in the playoffs Miles frustration was exposed when the Liberty guarded her like Clark was as a rookie and many games since. We also knew that Mitchell/Clark would probably cannibalize each others votes some.

What I can't get past is why they didn't confer with the scorers table in that moment as soon as the refs told them they didn't have a reset TO.

If they thought they did (or even if they weren't sure), they should still be allowed to dispute that with the scorers table.

Now IF they weren't allowed the time or opportunity to do that, THEN that'd be worth a discussion about the dumbf***ery of the officials.

I haven't looked into this very much, but from what Ive heard, it sounds like the coach for the Liberty is basically just a figurehead more than some one who actually understands how to manage a game, like most coaches in the player-run WNBA ("inmates running the asylum").

My guess is the coach knows they f***ed up.
You mean like the Fever not being allowed to challenge and review the "foul" on Hull when Turner hooked her arms and pulled her to the ground on top of her?

Honestly, a lot of them that make unprovoked derogatory comments towards WNBA players, coaches etc represent themselves as Fever or CC or Iowa fans, but they're also incredibly immature or ignorant people.

I could dive into all the specifics, but it's honestly not worth it. The fact is their stupidity isn't worth the stupidity that is directed towards Caitlin as a result.

And that's always been my biggest issue.

They all keep saying, we're not calling out ALL Fever/CC/Iowa fans.....just the racists and the bigots and the MAGA trolls etc, and we're not taking it out on CC.

And yet their actions and words go completely against that.............thousands upon thousands upon thousands of people don't just hate watch CC because they don't like her flopping and complaining to the officials and coaches. And even if they did it would still make them hypocrites. So the fact that those aren't the only reasons they hate watch makes it far worse for them.

And that's just the fans. We haven't even delved into the players (and coaches and league personnel) who take issue with Caitlin's celebrity and on-court personality.

My favorite part in all of this is that these people, the CC haters, the players and staff that hold grudges against her.....we're all aware of what their ideal endgame would be if they got their way.

But they can't publicly admit what that is because they would concede that they're the bad guys in all this. They want to be seen as the blameless victims. Can't do that if you're trying to force a player to bend a knee, or simply go away thinking that would put an end to all "online harrassment".......................
Everyone's a "victim" now.....

Caitlin will not win anything with how the Fever are currently operating. Stephanie White is definitely not the coach the team needs. The Fever need someone who knows how to utilize CC, while also emphasizing team defense. The Fever need better depth and a bolstered frontcourt. While Boston is a solid player, the team needs someone who can defend and rebound. Too often did they get burned by a fast guard driving to the hoop. Basically the whole team outside of CC, KM, and maybe Boston should be on the potential chopping block.

At the same time, it absolutely feels like the league is against her. Most of the players either treat her like **** on or off the court. So I'm not sure who they would add or what coach they would hire. Either way, I think she's in a ****** situation.
Remember all the excitement of CC being the number one pick in the draft and what she would bring to the league. They sure have done their best to squash all of that......

Hey, last year it was Paige that was the savior of the league going into the draft as she was better than Clark. She came in as an older rookie, she’s 3 months older than CC, and has been good, almost great. But not really worthy of MVP consideration in either season.

This year it was going to be Fudd and/or Miles. And Miles looked good, until the end of the season when a team actually decided to defend her instead of letting her carve them up. Then she folded like a wet paper bag. Fudd had a alright rookie year for most players, but not very good for the first overall pick in the draft.

Next year it is going to be Juju that will save the league and be the best thing ever. We’ve yet to see how she looks coming back from injury.

I swear the league and the original fans have ADHD or something.

Clearly I disagree. Watch the replay, there's one in this thread. Page 426, post 17006. Boston is back pedaling away from Aja. Aja jams her right foot into Bostons left foot, and then loses her balance. Aja extends her foot INTO Bostons foot, after Bostons foot is planted on the floor. How is that Boston tripping Aja? Is Boston not allowed to have her feet on the floor? Certainly Aja tripped over Bostons left foot, but Boston was moving away from her. not towards her, and Aja moved forward into Boston.

So you first you claimed Aja tripped over her own feet and then you admit that she actually tripped over Boston's foot, good job on finally admitting the truth.

And thank you for explaining to the board that Boston tripped her while not in a legal guarding position and therefore it was a good call.

CC also averaged 50% more turnovers, shot a worse % from the field, a worse % from 3, worse eFG%, worse FT%.

And luckily post-season has no impact on the voting, otherwise both of them might have been dropped from ballots.

Now that defenses know Miles folds when met with a little defensive pressure I'm pretty sure she'll regress next season. Her finish to the season and into the playoffs when opponents were actually D-ing her up was putrid.

I don't think I've ever seen an MVP whose coach decided to bench them for most of the second half of a win-or-go-home playoff game because of how bad they were playing. Lol.

Just stop with your nonsense. Everyone here and pretty much everyone who covers the game said that was the typical BS call that Wilson gets. And thanks for your continuing to show your just here to be the contrarian on anything to do with Clark or the Fever. And Boston did NOT trip her, SHE tripped over Bostons foot which was on the floor

And once someone actually guarded Miles anything close to, the way they have Clark since she joined the league, she wasn't up to the task. Might also want to consider the TEAM Miles has around her unlike Clark with two or 3 team mates and a bunch of players who'd rarely play on any other contending team in the league. A bit more pressure to play outside your comfort zone, not to mention the outside noise that engulfs Clark for much of the year.

I agree with all of that...the benching is something I was trying to recall when it happened and the only thing even close I could think of was when Nick Anderson melted down in the 95 NBA Playoffs and was never the same again, but that was more mental and with Miles I think it is just more about teams figuring out what she can and can't do.

Stop with the lies there wasn't close to 50% more turnovers....CC had 4.6 per game and miles had 3.1 and both had a 1.8/1.9 ***/to ration.....and the shooting % were all nice when teams left miles wide the hell open till the playoffs then she folded like a cheap piece of paper....

Huh..........turns out the refs were lying about telling Stewart and the Liberty coach that they had a reset timeout.

The ref interrupts Stewart during Angel Reese's first FT attempt and waves to the coach that they don't have a reset timeout.

That's still partially the fault of the coach, then, for not disputing that, but clearly the officials f***ed up and tried to cover their tracks...............

As long as CC is involved it will stay near the top.
And that's the problem. As long as she has that target on her back by the league and the so-called media. The ones who never ask the hard questions of the owners, front offices, coaches, and players. Just ask Christine Brennan after she questioned Carrington about gouging Clark's eye. There were calls for her job termination and banishment. How dare she inject journalism into this pile of rubbish?

Sure you do...You said that as long as the media stays focused on the foibles of Clark, posters on here will be ready to pounce. Capiche? :D

I said no such thing. I said that as long as CC is involved with the WNBA/Fever this thread would stay near the top of the board.
