My guess is you will forget all about it. There is a reason that Lebron was dubbed The King in HS and Zion wasn't even the #1 recruit. You don't need anyone as big as Zion to shut him down. He is not a post player. Just put an athetic 6'7" guy on him and cut down his driving. Also, make him work on defense. The more I think about your post, the more I am laughing.

This is why I thought some of you were way overreacting to the Ky-Duke game. They are good, but they were hitting every shot they threw up, and we were missing every shot. It was a fluke-ish game. It happens!

This is exactly what I said in the "Duke not as good as they looked against us" thread. It was one of those games where they hit everything they shot and our guys panicked. Four months will take care of this. Duke will still be good, but we will have improved a lot more than they will.

Watching the game, I don’t feel as bad now. Duke must’ve played out of their mind against us. Army hanging around with them at home.

It was a perfect storm against us. They couldn't miss from 3 and we couldn't buy one. After that it was like shell shocked. Rotation wasn't good, I feel like if we had played that game maybe game 4-5 it would have been a tight game. Rotation is starting to work itself out. Bahamas gave us one look and then it all changed so rotation and how we play has to change too.

he had 27 on 11 of 14 shooting.

What the heck does it matter how many 3s he's shooting lol


he's 21 of 25 on the season for 84%.

I may be older than you (graduated college in 1993). I never thought Larry Johnson was that good in the pros (college is another story). When he was in Charlotte, Alonzo Mourning was, by far, the better player and leader. Johnson was never that dominant in the pros. Good shot, good rebounder, but not a star. I would say Zion is closer to a Charles Barkley in college than Larry Johnson.

I never said a word about LJ as a pro, though he was really good. Was just under a 20/10 guy his first few years. Was slowed by injuries the rest of his career, so who knows. Barkley in college isn't a bad comparison either, but Zion is a lot more like LJ at this point. That's why it's the comparison everyone is making. Their bodies are almost identical. As is their games.

Anyone who expects Duke to run by every single opponent and destroy them is fooling themselves. That goes for any team in sports. The Golden St Warriors have had close games to bad teams before . You can’t expect a team to blow out a team from start to finish every game

Hell, if you go by how prepared they both were for game one, you might have a better case that uk will improve more slowly.

Completely different player IMO. Larry Johnson was a very good athlete but nowhere near Zion. Zion is a freak with his speed and overall athleticism.

That was Duke’s ceiling and Kentucky’s floor. Roles are still being defined for UK while Duke has known how they were going to play since they signed. Got to admit that Zion looks like Randle a bit during the early part of the season but Zion will come back to Earth like it did for Randle. It’s fun to watch until weaknesses are exposed. Have fun it won’t last for long.

Nope. They shot 46.2% from 3 against us, and the only reason it wasn't higher was that their 2nd string jacked up a few that didn't go in. Plus, Zion was 2-2 against us, and tonight, 0-1. Expect more of the same from him. Tuesday night was an anomaly. Yes, they are good. No one is denying that. Are they as good as they were Tuesday night? No way, and we are not nearly as bad as we were. After 4 months of the schedule we have to play, we will not be the same team that lost to them.
