Cherry picker Melo Ball. Their game against Oak Hill him and his brother did this the entire game also.

Why does he look so winded?

Every so often he would have to get his points in an offensive set. It sure wasn't from playing defense lol.

Hell anyone could have scored 92 like that. Is this a pee wee game?

There is a strong contingent of UCLA fans who absolutely hate Alford and will campaign for his firing at the slightest hint of weakness, so it wouldn't surprise me if he says eff it, i've had enough and I'm out of here. The fan vitriol stems from them being angry about Alford not being a "home run hire" when he was brought into Westwood. These guys were promised a big name like Donovan or Stevens, and were against Alford from the moment his name was announced. The Pierre Pierce thing was just a convenient arrow in their quiver. Trust me, they wouldn't have cared one bit about Pierre Pierce if it were Billy Donovan who had shown the same error in judgment.

I was disappointed as well, but when Alford came in and won the Pac-12, led us to the Sweet-16 and just generally brought a much more palatable style of play (compared to Ben Howland), I bought in. There were some tough moments the previous two years while he was rebuilding the program, but he's really turned it around in recruiting and we are starting to see it bear fruit on the court. Next year's class is arguably as good as this year's and 2018 is shaping up to be a good year as well. I really hope he stays, since I don't want to see us have to start all over again from scratch and lord knows what kind of coach we'd be able to attract in Westwood with the somewhat-deserved reputation of running off coaches.
