So you sign up for a (VERY well paying) job then ***** about having to having to do it. So sorry a decent part of your job is dealing with sick people, that sucks. If only someone had given you a heads up that doctors would have to deal with sick people. Man, that's a bad break.
Sorry you can't make crazy bank surfing the web all day and occasionally looking at X-rays (which computers can already do better than you). Should have been a radiologist.

I was only highlighting how gross mouths can be, and how you couldn't pay me enough money to be a dentist. Not complaining.
If I really wanted to complain, I'd whine about how under appreciated the doctors who I worked with this weekend are. But I can't now, maybe someday in the future.

WTF? That is not what I encounter "Every day". Maybe a dentist that runs one of those medicaid mill practices (about 5% of dentists) or an oral surgeon in a rural area. I'm a little different since I'm a specialist but I see one of 3 people about 99% of the time:
Old people who have dentures and want dental implants to either get rid of their dentures or make them stronger.
Smoking hot house wives or 20 something brides to be that want veneers and then all I do is stare at their lips as their heads are in my lap for a couple of hours, or recently divorced rich businessmen that want veneers.
Completely normal people who either have a missing tooth and need a dental implant or did something to their tooth and need a crown, of which about 10% is because of "a gross abcess"
I also don't see any kids at all as I hate dealing with them so I send them to a pediatric dentist. And obviously my wife doesn't deal with decay at all, as she basically just sits in a captain kirk chair and points at assistants to put braces on 13 year olds all day.
The people you are describing that you see are unfortunately the people that can't really afford to get dental care, and that's why their teeth are in such bad shape. And at that point they are probably going to an oral surgeon to get all their teeth pulled in a hospital or medicaid setting. I would say about 5% of my patients are there because of decayed teeth - which can be pretty gross admittedly.
Anyway, sorry to muck up the thread with dental crap (why I didn't want to bring it up in the first damn place) but felt the need to clear up what I do in my extremely, and randomly polarizing profession.

- Rejuvenated UCLA and Top 5-again Kansas in Rupp. Blood rival Louisville on the road. Top 10ers Michigan State and North Carolina at neutral sites. That's one helluva schedule.
- Where does Dental Hygienist rank on the Hot Chick Career power rankings? Has to be near the top after marketing, pharm sales and nursing. The lass works for a marketing agency and it's just stupid the talent at that place. Like 80% female and seemingly all in their 20s. Very catty atmosphere, as well, of course.
- Should be a weird summer. Bookended by trips to SF and Boston. And the lass is out of town for bachelorette parties and other stuff nearly every weekend until October. I don't know what I'm going to do with myself.
- Bill Simmons has been saying all year he thought there was a good chance the Cavs might fold somewhere during the playoffs. Could this be it?
- Bengals working out Dwight Freeney who can still get to the QB even as a grayhair. I wouldn't mind that pickup at all.
- Dauster has Fox as his SEC POY.
- JoJo is about as hot of Bachelorette as they've ever had. :fire:

What really differentiates Home Depot & Lowes other than the color scheme?
Handy people seem to be really passionate & loyal to one or the other, most seemingly preferring Lowes around here the best that I can tell. Always been curious as an "outsider" to that whole world.
I can't think of many places that I feel more like a fish out of water than walking around in there, pretending like I'm about to really get some **** done.

I always feel like such a fraud in Lowe's or Home Depot. I refuse to ask for help when I'm looking for something, so instead I just wander the aisles like an idiot, feeling the silent scorn of the employees.
