Watched the first 2 episodes of Netflix's Happy Valley last night...seems pretty good. The quirky characters + general story in certain aspects reminds of an English Fargo or something.

- Love seeing reminders that the small-market Reds will still owe Joe Votto $150M between 2018-2023 (when he'll be 40).

- The worst part of the two-day hangover is the anxiety.

- All right, Zay, time to come back to school and start focusing on #9.

- One of the lass's vendors is taking her entire team to the Derby so I am free. I usually hit up Belterra on Derby Day, make some bets, piece together a day buzz and then head to a bar to watch it, but I don't think I have an all-day boozefest in me this weekend. Will probably just roll over early, make some bets, chill then roll out somewhere for the race.

- Anyone have any picks?

- Gotta love May. As far as pure weather, it's my third-favorite month after October and September. Just about perfect.

Reds bullpen going for history tonight if they allow a run in 21 straight games. [laughing] How is that even possible other than, well, Reds.

Get your tickets now.

Pretty sure you're following the Reds more than any of us besides PTI this year.

I follow the Reds/Bengals for one reason only, and you know what that is. It's the same reason he follows UK Football.

I got about 270 texts during the hot first few weeks, per usual. They've since dried up, of course. Kinda miss them.

RIP Afeni Shakur, always seemed like a great woman. Who's next in line for ownership of that catalogue/masters I wonder?

Aside from her time as a radical Black Panther, she was always committed- even as a poor single mother on welfare.

She was a strict mother. When she caught her son running from the po-lice she put a whooping to his backside. The same son who would later feel good about putting money in her mailbox, even though the funds came from selling rocks. She was appreciated.

I still love and regularly watch "Scrubs" but find everything else Zach Braff has ever done incredibly douchey and self-important. Portraying yourself as broodingly artistic generally just makes you unlikable.

Man, Prince's family wasted no time busting into his vault. That's a little depressing, honestly. They've probably been champing at the bit to do that for years.
I saw one interview with his family and that was enough to know what their intentions were. He was pretty much cremated a few hours after he died and their mourning period was about 20 minutes.

I was hoping against hope that he had a will that left everything to random woman he'd met 20 years ago, slept with once and never spoke to them again.

Pretty strong reaction to Braff. I don't get any of that. His movies are okay, but I don't see them as douchey. Plus, the soundtracks are pretty strong.

XM Fly definitely has a set 'rotation' they run with, and don't change it nearly often enough. Same sequence and everything...I hear the same songs, in the same order, at the same time of day, way too often.

Oh well, it's #Views for me right now anyways.

Rude Jude on Shade 45 is the GOAT though, I love that dude. Picture it being Mashburned, really -- he pretty much refuses to play anything new or corny other than what's obviously required or not controlled by him. His Pill Mixes are :fire:

Furthermore, I don't think Braff gets nearly enough credit for launching the dorky protagonist archetype that permeates today's television- leading to characters like Seth Cohen, the guys from "Silicone Valley," even our own @Joey Rupption.

Backspin does the exact same thing. Some gems on there, but too much REAL old school (corny) stuff on there...just not my thing.

Braff may actually be Joey Rupption. Have you ever seen them both at the same time?

Didn't think so.

There is also a thirty something man who claims to be Prince's son. If his claim can be proven, then he would likely become the sole heir. Probably why they were in a hurry to get the body disposed of. Also, Prince had absolutely no estate planning in place, so 56% of his estate will go to the government; 40% to the US & 16% to Minnesota.*

*This is not my legal opinion. I saw this on Entertainment Tonight.

*When de knoct gets talking modern urban music, it marcus be a joey post to me.

*Getting a baby sitter for a few hours and doing Derby at a friend's house with 3 other couples. #Thisiswhywedothis :fire:

*I hate iTunes regret, sometimes I get the hankerin to listen to a certain song...I buy it, listen once or twice and regret that it was ever purchased. That's $2 I'll never get back, plus it effs up the suffle rotation when I'm mowing my lawn...who has time to make playlists?

*Bolden is waiting for Lee's decision, right? If it's Duke what's the hold up?

*I'm summertime optimistic about football, so sue me.

I went to coachella with the wife and 8 other 20 somethings 3 weeks ago. In between the debauchery and drug induced visions I was looking forward to possibly running into some celebrities. The only one we saw? Zach Braff. I've always irrationally hated him because I found him annoying (probably his nose) in the same way I found Jim from the office annoying (probably his ears) but I must say the guy was as nice as could be. And seeing as how we were all completely rocked out of our minds we were unusually friendly and aggressive for complete strangers and he was still really cool and nice. So there you go gang, your zach braff story has finally appeared.

- Learn Spotify. $10/month.

- Yeah- nothing else makes sense at this point.

"Wish I Was Here" screamed douche. "Garden State" tried really hard and could've been great but he seemed to concentrate on himself too much. Great soundtracks (as you noted), but his writing is just grating.

-Full Derby prep mode. Looking up handicappers, just bought a new portable quick charger, dropped of dry cleaning, picked up alterations. Leggo.

-Speaking of alterations, finally got around to taking 4 pair of jeans to be shortened #shortlegproblems. So the rolled up jeans look is finally/thankfully getting retired.

-Speaking of alterations again, whoever recommended KC, great call. Dude is awesome. Cracks me up. Cut me 2 new shirts. They're clean and easily the quality of a shirt 2-3x's the cost.

-Funniest show in the last 4-5 years is still "An Idiot Abroad." It's phenomenal. Karl Pilkington makes me laugh just by standing there. Actually think that is one that BBdk would dig. He's like a hysterical Anthony Bourdain.

-Braff wasn't even good on Scrubs and I really liked Scrubs. It's pretty rewatchable but I don't think anything is as rewatchable as Parks. His movies are a bunch of meh.

-Kimmy Schmidt is pretty solid in season 2. Treading the line though, which I think they can pull off, but with weird characters like that it can go overboard quickly.

-Fly is the easiest station to listen to these days but the playlist is wearing me out. Where's the Outkast? No Limit? Eminem? Hot Boys? I could add 100 songs to that playlist in an hour and it would be infinitely better.

-Mid 90's R&B, that's the pinnacle for me.
