I won’t watch this movie either. The current Odyssey is misrepresentative of Homer’s characters and Musk’s Odyssey employs no human beings as actors.

This can’t be! Where were the heat islands? Where was earth’s population then versus now? It’s almost as if there is a natural occurrence of Earth’s systems and some greedy, mentally ill human beings have tried to make a profit off fear mongering.

You are always good for whataboutism, downplay and deflect when responding to a post. That is pretty weak for a guy in his mid 70s.
You are unable to see the facts or premise in my post as your cult brain requires you to see it as deflection or whataboutism in order to avoid reality. Just like you and the Trump cultists have to keep reassuring themselves that the Red Scare will save the mid-terms. A few DSA candidates have won in areas with a younger, educated progressive population. As I have posted, it is part of the generational change replacing the old with younger candidates. It is limited to NY, one in Colorado, San Fran, Portland , Seattle. Nothing new really those areas have had their own younger fringe progressivism. If you want a whatabout, whatabout the primary in Arizona yesterday where the DSA candidate lost big to a moderate Dem? These primaries reflect the characteristics of the voters in the respective district. If you are able to get out of the Trump talking points about communism, we can discuss a movement toward rebuilding the social safety net after Trump has damaged it, and to make up for past failures. I do believe we will buttress SS, come up with a better Universal Health coverage, probably free pre-school and housing assistance to allow the purchase of homes. It will be a long term movement. Why? Because that is what the younger voters want, and they will decide the future. In that regard, the US will come to more resemble European governments. Far cry from communism.

Greg Stanton was the incumbent and the DSA challenger's main criticisms were that Stanton was too moderate on Israel and immigration. Stanton is not AOC but he reportedly votes 90-95% with Jeffries in congress. The DSA guy had no chance and still got 35% of the vote. Stanton supports LGTBQ+, abortion, tax increases, etc.

I think of Fetterman as a moderate. Stanton is much better than either of our Dem senators but I wouldn't call him a moderate. If Newsome becomes president, Stanton will vote with him probably 90-95% of the time. I guess we can say he is a moderate for a Dem but left of center as a congressman?

Speaking of AI/centralized databases. My wife has a Dr appt this afternoon and got a text asking her to fill out pre-appt paperwork. It turns they recently bought a new software and she had to fill out countless pages of questions to populate their system.

The AI angle is they searched medical databases and listed 50 medications she has taken over the years, some a long time ago . For example, she had cataract surgery 4 years ago and they listed the post op eye drops she took. So we went one by one to correct the list but what a pain. The DR office already knew what meds she takes but now their software does as well.
I had a General well being DR appointment, but the office hadn't taken blood for examination, so had to cancel.

Tried to set up blood draw, lab examination and Dr appt.

The AI computer wanted to give me an appointment of August 19 th.

ALL on the same day.

GIGO for AI.

Chicago is a hot mess. Stoney should move there and relieve himself of these crazy RDS policies.
Paying for safety and living well can get pricey.

My complex at Jupiter Island 7 private homes had an HOA that cost all $ 800 a month. Electric gate, lawn watering and mowing, palm tree trimming, water/electric at boat slips, tennis court, maintenance on everything.

You are following MAGA and Republican’s desperate attempt to distract the public’s attention from Trump, his cabinet of incompetent clowns and the disastrous policies like IcE killings, prices, tariffs, alienating allies , corruption and a war against a third rate power that he had to try to bribe with a complete give away of the Strait and hundreds of Billions to get a ceasefire. 5-6 DSA members won’t do it.
Your lack of current awareness can be staggering...

Here's a simpler statement about affordability and your TDS.

I purchased my first SFH in the early 70's, there was an IRS Credit available for new homes.
I took advantage of same !

Trump had Nothing to do with the purchase.

RE: Canadian fires. They have a lot of forest to burn. In 2023 they set a major record with 36 million acres burned. (about 55% the size of Colorado :)). So far in 2026 they have had about 8 million acres burned and lots of fire season left.

I was going to complain that you are repeating the same posts you had several days back. But now I see Friggin Stalin! LOL GET REAL! If the Commie take over was real, why would FOX be so concerned? It would be a good thing for them as it would mean the end of the Democratic party. They are doing so because it gets MAGA like you to run around with their hair on fire for the Mid-Terms.

Yes you posted it twice. I agree with him some of the younger DSA are idiots like the eliminate the Senate or no prisons, no police speakers . There are idiots everywhere, no showing they have power or sway over others but of course they are all over RW sites. A look at the picture posted shows that they are not "power brokers" or real politicians. Tank tops and similar garb!

The Antifa Terrorism Threat Trump Keeps Railing Against Doesn't Exist

By The Conversation — July 22, 2026
Jason M. Blazakis, Middlebury College
The threat the administration describes does not exist in the form the administration describes it.
The State Department on July 16, 2026, hosted what officials billed as a ministerial on the resurgence of left-wing political terrorism.

Secretary of State Marco Rubio invited representatives from more than 60 countries to Washington to hear an argument that many of them appear not to believe: that a transnational far-left terrorist movement called antifa threatens the democratic world. At the event, allies were asked to mobilize against that enemy despite nations like the Netherlands and Germany politely noting to their host that they cannot find evidence of any such group.

Some intelligence analysts have declined to brief on antifa at interagency meetings because they do not regard it as a serious counterterrorism threat.

As a terrorism scholar who spent a decade running the State Department office that designates terrorist organizations, I understand their confusion. The threat the administration describes does not exist in the form the administration describes it.

Antifa is not a group

As I and others have written before, antifa is not a group. It is a movement and an ideology, a loose commitment to opposing fascism. In its most organized form, it amounts to scattered local collectives like Rose City Antifa in Portland, Oregon.

There is no membership roll, no command hierarchy and no funding structure. There is no leader of antifa – the Trump administration has not named one – and there is no record of deadly attacks attributed to a U.S.-based organization called antifa.

Groups like the Islamic State group and al-Qaida have killed tens of thousands of people and have a documented chain of command. Antifa does not. You cannot decapitate a movement with no head, and you cannot sanction an organization that does not exist.

As such, the Trump administration created one.

A man with a bandana covering his face faces off against a man with a black hat. An unidentified man faces off with Rose City Antifa members on June 29, 2019, in Portland, Ore. Moriah Ratner/Getty Images

Trump administration targets antifa

The construction project began on Sept. 22, 2025, when President Donald Trump signed an executive order purporting to designate antifa as a domestic terrorist organization. The order describes antifa as “a militarist, anarchist enterprise that explicitly calls for the overthrow of the United States Government.” It directs every relevant agency to investigate and dismantle its operations.

Two problems are immediately apparent. First, no legal authority exists to designate domestic organizations as terrorist groups. It’s a gap that Congress has deliberately preserved for First Amendment reasons.

Second, the order designates as an organization something the FBI’s past leadership has described as an ideology. Trump’s executive order asserts an antifa enterprise into existence and then declares war on it.

Three days after the executive order, the White House implemented the order through National Security Presidential Memorandum 7, which converts the fiction into machinery. The memorandum directs the Treasury Department to identify and disrupt financial networks that fund what it deems domestic terrorism. The memorandum instructs banks to file suspicious activity reports with the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network, the U.S. government’s financial intelligence unit.

That means the government’s financial surveillance apparatus, built to trace al-Qaida’s money in the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, is being pointed at Americans that the administration considers left-wing.

A man stabs 2 people, at least one confirmed Jewish, while yelling allah akbar in NYC today.

“The NYPD’s initial investigation suggests that mental health may have been a factor. They are also evaluating these stabbings as potential hate crimes,” Mamdani said in a statement.

So I think he is saying that people who are anti Jewish have mental problems and only potentially hate. Jews who voted for him have to be feeling really good right now.

So try to tie every crime against a Jew to Mamdani. What a stretch

The Jewish people who voted for him are delusional. They likely still don’t get it.

Illinois is run by people who belong in the funny farm, and not sitting behind a desk making decisions that impact other people. This is a direct violation of Title IX, which was specifically meant for real women.
