If the paper means nothing to you or your superiors then yes, there is no need.

If the paper means anything to your studies or employment, it could mean EVERYTHING.
The fact is employers are encouraging AI use in most every facet of white collar jobs. The employees are just more productive that way. I am guessing AI pricing will increase once everyone is hooked and business is more efficient. When you AI something it essentially summarizes the articles from an old google search. I assume you know this, but am stating it anyway. I would estimate 60-80% of business presentations are now built by AI(Grok agrees;)). And the employer wants it higher. This should illustrate that anyone with a brain knows whatever they are reading has probably been touched (or created) by AI.

Air Travel in the US these days.

Is this common or unusual ?

A relative wanted to go from NYC to Cinn lately.

I had the necessary frequent miles, so the round trip seat was purchased,

Saturday he arrived at LaGuardia about 7 AM. for non stop flight at 8 ish.

Delayed as # 30 to take off, 5 Hour delay. Landed at Cinn and no gate for disembark for almost 2 more hours. Shuttle bus had departed, found Uber $ 100 to be dropped at the final location.

Final time 14 hours from home to final hotel !
Not common for me and I always try to book the first flight out when traveling commercial.

Europe is lower. Quote a source that isn’t left wing. Reuters is woke.

No, Europe is not having a record low wildfire year in 2026; in fact, the continent is experiencing an intense wildfire season that has scorched land well above the long-term historical average. [1, 2, 3, 4]
Through mid-July 2026, the European Union's Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service and the European Forest Fire Information System (EFFIS) reported the following statistics regarding the European wildfire situation: [1]

Wildfire Metric (EU)Mid-Season 2026 StatusComparison to Averages
Total Area Burned~167,326 hectaresAbove the 20-year historical average
Number of Fires1,083 detectedMore than double the long-term average (516)

You fell for click bait, again.

OT-Movies

In case anyone cares, The Odyssey grossed $264 million globally in its first weekend vs a production budget of $250 million.

1) Live action Moana has grossed $178 million after 2 weekends vs a production budget of $250 million
2) The Odyssey was filmed using IMAX cameras, largely on location or physical sets, vs Moana which was heavy on CGI. Interesting the budgets are the same even though Odyssey had lots of name actors to pay and Moana had the Rock.

The source material for the Odyssey is Greek Mythology - not my cup of tea. It is getting great reviews from critics and largely similar from viewers. The marketing campaign has been excellent trying to tell us how unique and tremendous the story telling and on site filiming is from Christopher Nolan -- "you have to go see it". I'm still not sold but we have a local IMAX and I may go next week to see if the hype matches the movie. First world problem.

Through mid-2026 the numbers are still lower than the record setting 2025. We will see how August and September go. You just grab whatever leftwing nonsense you can find that supports your panic. Let us know where the “Climate Crisis” is. They got here by lack of conservation and proper forestry. That is changing after the 2025 season.

Europe has been actively updating and expanding its approach to forestry management, with a stronger focus on wildfire prevention, climate adaptation, and sustainable practices—especially accelerated after the record 2025 wildfire season (over 1 million hectares burned in the EU).

Key Recent Changes and Initiatives

• EU Integrated Wildfire Risk Management Strategy (March 2026): The European Commission released its first comprehensive strategy emphasizing the full cycle: prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. It highlights active and sustainable forest management (e.g., thinning, pruning, species diversification, firebreaks, and forest roads) as essential for reducing fuel loads and building resilience. The Common Agricultural Policy (CAP) is positioned as a key funding source for these measures in 2028–2034.

BTW, the heat island of Keokuk Iowa reached 118 degrees for a high on July 20, 1934.

Your post was inaccurate. You grabbed inaccurate nonsense to support your position of “we have little to no impact on the planet”. Your stats were wrong, and were easily refuted. Europe is not lower than average. North America is not either. But good stuff, as usual.

~85% of wildfires are directly caused by humans, but we have little impact on the environment. lol

85% of wildfires are caused by humans, yet you linked a leftist reuters article that got the growing Democrat in your brain all riled up about a “Climate Crisis”. It’s as if the climate isn’t what’s the crisis, and what is the crisis is the growing number of morons inhabiting the planet that start the fires. As for these humans causing wildfires, these humans caused less when they were practicing proper forestry. I know it sucks that I don’t come with false information from leftist news organizations, but this info is actually backed up by studies and not just misinformation by government agents fed to slop reporters. Just living in the here and now doesn’t cut it. This planet has been there and done that. What has also caused more moron humans to start fires is the mismanagement of forests, which has been a willful strategy of leftists and the government policies they support. Trump put out an EO on forestry. **** doesn’t magically change in a year. I pointed out the EU understands its policy failings wrt forestry management, as well. It takes time to revert back to management strategies that actually work.

It was clearly an AI post. These guys dont even use their own brains anymore. Outsourced to twitter and Grok.

The 85 % cause IS ARSON !

Here's another way to reduce forest fires.

Populate the fire towers that are standing empty across the USA !

Knowledge is being given away to AI, what you fools have to realize is that someone generates AI facts.
That’s why I use Grok. Musk has tried to make the latest version as sideless as possible. Of course that doesn’t stop Grok from pulling woke news out of its *** instead of digging for actual non-partisan studies.

At this point it should be obvious who is funding the Democrats and why. Pritzker is one of many weasels aiding and abetting our #1 enemy.

Speaking of AI/centralized databases. My wife has a Dr appt this afternoon and got a text asking her to fill out pre-appt paperwork. It turns they recently bought a new software and she had to fill out countless pages of questions to populate their system.

The AI angle is they searched medical databases and listed 50 medications she has taken over the years, some a long time ago . For example, she had cataract surgery 4 years ago and they listed the post op eye drops she took. So we went one by one to correct the list but what a pain. The DR office already knew what meds she takes but now their software does as well.
