Being a lefty........I was a fan of Earl Anthony.......I tried to copy his swing......I ended up being a cranker.........until my elbow and shoulder told me I could no longer bowl......I bowled three leagues a week for several years.....never was a betting man.........(didn't have the money)......
Yes Sir, I flat out loved Earl Anthony's delivery, I tried mimicking that as a righty. I never bet either as I never wanted to get hooked. (The leagues I bowled in gave out money per how your team or individual's did scoring-wise during event's/ games. I was in a good situation and I carried a high average, just never did bowl a 300 though I did hit 290 a bunch of times.)
Did get hooked on lottery ticket's for a while as a bug man back in your area BUT, I challenged God and he fixed me...HAHA... (It was back during a flood in your area (Bullit county and in particular Mt. Washington. I did a lot of termite inspections and other work for that main bank in Mount Washington. They were holding a raffle. I bought ten tickets and put them up and forgot about them. They were helping flood victims....so, I donated.
Anyway, after that, I saw I had an issue buying lottery tickets so while driving I told the Lord..(I will never forget it..) (I said it exactly this way, out loud.) "If I can win a thousand dollars, I will never buy another lottery ticket...". I had lottery ticket's on my mind.)
It wasn't a day or two later I got a call from that bank. (It was several weeks after I had purchased them. I totally forgot I had.) They told me I won the grand prize for that raffle.... $1000.00 (I still have the picture of me holding the money somewhere. (If I find it, I will post it.)
Needless to say, God is in control and though I had the lottery in mind, I got my thousand dollars, God's way, not my way... Never had an urge again to buy a lottery ticket. I'd be in a bad shape if I ever did after promising God...
