I wish I had hever tried to give you advice.. I take it all back. Don't ever get a colonoscoy, they are overrated and don't test your PSA as I'm sure you'll be fine. No bigger punk/puke than a person that taunts and insults their elders. That person's parents failed miserably in raising that worm. PS, I'd put anything on you being the lunatic trashing this board every day. The manic depression symdrome is strikingly similar.
Good God. Cry me a river you big baby. I don’t even know what you sre whining about.??

Kick rocks, you can be added to my ignore list too. Grow some balls.

The SEC is loaded again so I hate that . I’m a little worried about how this team will play defensively but I’m very confident in this teams scoring ability.
Yes it is. So glad they finally started to putting minds into their bball programs.

Just getting back on topic for a change....

I hope Crawford can get everything situated with his family on the west coast, and seriously take us up on the offer and come here to be a part of Pope's staff.

I think he can be a true difference maker for us in so many ways, but with him and Mo on the staff, that is some HEAVY DUTY clout to carry around on the recruiting trail, which, for us, never ends.

Plus, let's not forget Crawford's son, JJ, would be a really nice pickup for the 2029 season.... it's NEVER too early to recruit !

There's a bright light at the end of the tunnel if we can add Crawford. You gotta' believe !

How cool would it be to see an upperclassman Mason Williams playing with JJ Crawford at Kentucky in front of both of their dads?

Lol. Nobody likes you either. I don’t have a problem with you but we can start one. First of all, learn to use a username and not a ******* email or whatever you got going on with that ghey *** name.

And nobody invited you into this conversation. Learn to mind your damn business. Got damn

Ahh f it. I do have a problem with you. Simpleton.

we need to have RR meet and greet so you chumps can say this **** to my face. I already know how that would go. None of yall would say **** and if you did… lol
You are running a close second to the Dandy Andy troll for your insistence on being a total nuisance. It is a public message board. Everyone is invited to the conservation by default.

Are you unaware of who Paul Calhoun is? You really should do a bit of research before jumping in and making yourself look stupid. You actually consider something as goofy as Dudah to be a more proper name on a UK message board?

What other team that made it deep in the tourney last year without its starting pg ? Cmon now back up your incredible stupid post
so we’re just going to move the goal posts to prove a point now? I commented on none of want you said. Learn to read and especially comprehend it.

Gonna be some dang good games in conference. We have a team that I think will be right there in the hunt too. I’m going to be interested to see what Pope does defensively with this team. I’m not at all worried about how they will look offensively.

Yeah, Mark screwed up badly with last years roster. So many mistakes were made. Only getting 1 pg was a massive oversight.
But even as bad as the fit was, he still got a 7 seed with no pg and no lottery pick center. Losing Lowe was bad enough, but JQ quitting, was just a huge kick to the nuts.
If that's the worst season Pope ever has here, I'm good with that, but it's way past time to get back to where we should be.
I'm not sure if this new roster is good enough to get to a FF, but if he does get them to a FF, or even an E8, he will have coached his butt off.
You know, preseason last year, I was stoked about the roster. I definitely thought we should’ve added another starter level point guard, but I thought if Lowe was great, Jasper and Denzel would be good enough. Anyway, it didn’t work out, but I’m with you about it being his worst season. Hopefully last season is a lesson for him and he grows into a championship contender coach. I think the majority of fans want Mark to be great and he seems to be making the most of this offseason.

Last season obviously sucked and I don’t doubt it absolutely killed Pope. He’s not dumb, he knows it was not up to UK standards.

But I can only speak for myself and say that the times in my life I’ve grown the most have only, 100%, came from the most difficult times in my life.

I see no reason to think the same can’t happen for Pope. I’ll be rooting for the Cats regardless but I really hope we have seen the shift Pope needed to take to fulfill his own promises that he made to all of us. No one wants that more than he does I can guarantee that, and a unified BBM would be a glorious thing.

Edit to add: With what Stein is doing on the football side of things, I’m really hoping the stars are aligning for a special run. The kind that always sticks out the rest of a fan’s life. I think it can happen.

Awesome post here Travis. I think we’re going to go on a special run as well. In all the major sports to be honest. I also love me some Lady Cats. Man they’re fun to watch. And I can’t even say enough good things about our football program right now. With the small amount of time these guys have been here, it’s unbelievable what they’re doing. Ohh, and look at Mark making moves the way he is. He’s tired of ok and I see a light switching on.

He had 2 PGs and a combo before April. Pope has said Lewis helped recruit Lowe, so I doubt there was any indication he would last second bolt for Nova. Had Lewis and Lowe been healthy, that is a killer combo at PG when you have a combo at SG.
Yeah that was a killer that late in the recruiting process. Still needed to go after another pg though I thought. I’m sure we could’ve got a body who would be sufficient. I doubt it happens again and we never go into a season without two really good and a decent backup Point guard. Too tough of a season to not have enough ball handlers.

Everyone, including me, thought we had a great roster last year. Rob Dauster on field of 68 was the only one that told everyone to put on the brakes.
We loved the names we saw signing on, we loved their toughness and we figured the offense would be fine.
The team was a bad fit, but if it had Lowe the full season and JQ from January on, it wouldn't have been anywhere near as bad.
We were a bad call at Auburn from being the 4th seed in the SECT, if we had both injured players, we win some of those close games and maybe we get to another sweet 16. That isn't the standard, but it's better than a 14 loss season.
But it's unfair to only focus on Popes 1 bad season and ignore what he did in year one with bad injuries. He has shown he can do this, but nobody was winning with the available roster we had last year.

It was not ideal, but I think Pope thought he had Lowe and a combo in DA and it would work. It clearly did not. I cannot imagine he thought JJ could be that backup. Maybe he was hoping Chandler would be workable. Lowe going down revealed the weakness. I don’t know who he could have landed to fill that role that late.

Lmao Pope was a decent college player but that team was loaded. He definitely wasn’t trash so I agree with that but he wasn’t that significant from what I remember. I’ve never seen a uk fan or heard a uk fan ever say that before about mark pope. If you don’t straighten up people will need to put him and you on ignore. You argue on this board just as much as he does.
He was a stretch 5 who averaged 8 and 5 on a team with a lot of talent. He was huge from the outside in key moments during that season. His transfer was a key to the NC. You cannot talk about how loaded that team was and then downplay a guy who got his points and shot over 35% from three at the center position.

He was also the only 5 on that team. Dakari only played mop up minutes that year.

We believe you, Jamal. Just give us 7 or 8 really good years at Kentucky first, okay?

This is corny and stupid. Jamal just will not be an effective coach in nba immediately. His nba role will be about actual coaching and maybe player development which he hasn’t proven he can do. At Kentucky we want him for recruiting and player development and then he can show his coaching chops while on the job.
