Chicago. NW Indiana. I've even read about a possible proposal from the Quad Cities area. The team needs to change its name to the Upper Midwest Bears. That way, regardless of where they land, the location will fit.

Maybe any state which begins with an "I" will do. Boise will be next with a proposal.
Can't they just officially change their first name to "Da"?

If they stay with "Chicago Bears", they'd join the Jets and Giants as the only teams to play in a state which isn't the home of the city in their name. I'm not counting the Commanders since D.C. and the suburbs are a unique animal. Regardless, they'll be moving back to the district in a few years, if all goes to plan.

I still say that Washington muffed the name change. The Beltway Bandits was there for the taking.

Gotta love billionaire professional sports franchise owners.

They want the taxpayer to continually fund new or upgraded facilities (which increase the value of their franchise), while continually raising tickets/seat licensing, concessions (with rare exceptions) and parking prices, while artificially suppressing player wages via salary caps, etc.

I looked up Hammond, Indiana on Wikipedia, and it's right next door to...East Chicago. So why couldn't Da Bears call themselves the East Chicago Bears?

Would not be surprised if the Halas family sells shortly after receiving their new shiny taxpayer provided stadium.

Notre Dame could play there as well. The tagline could be Notre Dame football. We're not Gary, but we're close...

George Halas graduated from University of Illinois. As a result of that connection, he chose navy blue and orange for Da Bears. With the move, IFT (indiana football team) should change their colors to crimson and cream. F*ck it up thoroughly.
